  1. thats pretty gross.. especially the one with the infection on his/her underside. I caught one in the upper reaches of a small stream I fish, and he had the same thing behind his gill. I kept him (don't like the bass messing with my resident trout), and just didn't fillet the infected part off. It seemed fine to me, I do the same with the lamprey marks on steelhead, and I'm still here! Matt.
  2. great report and amazing pics!!! I've just started getting into taking nice pictures of my fish, any photo advice?
  3. thats awesome!!!!!!!! congrats
  4. What's everbodys favorite way to catch largies in the fall? Looking to expand my knowledge on fall bass. Mines whacky rigging senkos Matt.
  5. yep, the thames is way more gross then the grand. The grand in the upper reaches is actually pretty clean, at least I think. Past brantford it's pretty gross.
  6. So, we shouldn't go eating any 20 inch bass or 30 inch pike from the grand then??????
  7. 7'0 MH st. croix avid I guess. Paired with my saros 2500. I can think of a lot nicer equipment out there that I'd like to say I would want to keep, but those two things are the nicest that I own.
  8. splake too, correct?
  9. binbrook. I thought I heard that some of the left over walleye that get put in hamilton harbor go into binbrook once, but I kind of doubt that's true.
  10. LOL... there's like no walleye in there.
  11. don't feel bad, I can't catch anything in the trent this time of year. (if you don't count baby bass who attack lures 2x their size!)
  12. I have caught a lot of trout with panther martins. It's worth the cost of buying a few each year when you get them stuck in trees
  13. you won't be dissapointed if you go there... bass pike crappie and the odd trout apperently (though i've never caught one)
  14. waterford ponds, binbrook, 50 pt marina (PERCH!!!)
  15. Thought I'd share pics of the two brown trout I caught on my closer. At one point I had a very large brown trout, probably around 16 inches, which would have been the biggest fish I caught from this particular stream on, but I got him beside me and attempted to lift him out of the water by the line, and he shook and got off. As you can imagine, some choice words were muttered after that.. lol. Matt.
  16. nice fish. I caught 1 brook trout and 2 brown trout on my closer, they sure are pretty fish.
  17. but, there is also no need to criticize those whose lifestyle does not fit, and who don't like the cars because of that.
  18. haha, that's exactly how I see it, lol. More gas for me when I'm grown and can actually afford nice cars (hopefully a porsche)! Other than that, I hate those little hybrids.
  19. I caught a hen a little a while ago which gave me my seasons worth of roe. I didn't cure, just put into days worth of fishing portion ziplocks, made sure they were dry, then sucked all the air out with a straw. it was really gross inhaling all that salmon egg air but it seems to have worked.
  20. pure beauty. nice fish!
  21. I like the VW vehicles. I've always thought I'd like to purchase a golf or jetta (200hp), or a mazdaspeed 3 for my first car. All fun and fast little cars, while still being good to drive around the city getting good mileage, and not falling apart for a long time.
  22. I've heard of tiger trout.... I thought they were supposed to be extremely rare, especially the wild ones? Nice catch regardless if it's wild or stocked, they are on my list of fish to catch as well as the aurora.
  23. I caught a huge salmon on a worm, I posted a blurred out pic on another guys thread, I was fishing with a worm in a fairly deep pool for the creek, but I dident even know until I started reeling in my line, and it was on. not flossed- the hook was basically at the back of his mouth
