    I feel for everyone here who can't see their kids and grandkids. While the boss and I don't have any rugrats, not seeing sisters and bro, and friends, leaves a huge hole. I can't begin to imagine how much catching up there will be when we turn the tide, and put this in the rear view mirror. be safe, stay safe everyone.

    If the lakes are given a temporary reprieve from getting hammered, how different will the fishing be once things ease up ? will we see more pb's ? will we see more monsters that have been feasting all spring/summer ?

    was at Mt Sinai at the NICU and my phone was put into a small UV unit for sterilizing (?). didn't take very long. as well UV bulbs can be bought at most home reno stores. just don't stare at the bulbs.

    I can't think of better neighbours to have (well maybe Australians) so there's no anti Americanism here. In all my trips across the border, business or personal, I've never met friendlier people. Great people in Dunedin, Boston, and even New Jersey .As well, our PM has already ruled out retaliatory measures, cuz that gets us nowhere. be safe, stay safe everyone

    Cdn Tire is now non essential. people are trying to shop now before it becomes curbside or delivery only. we shld have dropped the hammer weeks ago.

    I don't see problem with it. whether it's a direct analogy or not is not *that* important to me. The message is that we let them land and we took care of them. so the shoe is *almost* on the other foot today, and instead of denying us landing rights, he's denying us ppe, which we need. I get wanting to keep them for themselves. but they're reacting to poor planning, and as 3M has stated, this could lead to retaliatory measures, which will hurt both the US, and the rest of the world. Basically, stuff like this will lead others to believe the US will not have their backs when the chips are down.

    you can be sure that people will be holding Columbus Day Regattas much earlier this year. will be same thing as spring break beach crowds. it's the demographic that laughs in the face of the risks

    yup, been trying to fill some xtra cans while I can. always have gas stored at my off grid cabin up north.

    only drink coffee when camping, but it's either a French press, Percolator (preferred method) or cowboy coffee (when canoe tripping). If the latter, will either stir before the pour, or if Im feeling saucy, grab the pot and swing in wide circles (like softball wind ups)...then pour if I haven't made a mess. mandatory is Forty Creek Irish Cream, no matter how the coffee is made.

    feel for the athletes who spent the last four years training, but glad to hear most of them put people's health over the five ring circus. guess the IOC will have another year to booze it up and spend $$$$$

    thanks, this is a great idea. will soak a bunch of shop towels and put in sealed container/zip lock. wish there was a no odour bleach out there...

    god those beach finds look awesome, making me hungry for some kumamotos ! nothing beats feast right from the sea. for oysters, I also suggest a good towel to place the oysters on, and to wrap over the bivalve as you slide the shucker in.

    making a mid career pivot can be intimidating but cld be best thing to do. the loss of free internet sucks but if the job is better, small price to pay. good luck and congrats on making this decision !
