  1. Bruce, I'd be happy to buy you a coffee! Just not a Starbucks! For two reasons; 1. There is now way in h e double hockey sticks I'm gonna pay that much for some dirty water 2. I'm a Tims Man!(Iszumi can't be wrong all the time!) Chris, I'd be happy to buy you what ever beverage you desire! (See Bruce, that's how you get a mod on your side! LMAO HH
  2. As others have said, should be no problem. As Wayne alluded to, running your engine in extreme cold (below freezing) requires that you really keep an eye the discharge... make sure your engine is "peeing" Runnin my buddies 225 Opti in December/January on Quinte, many times after launching, we found that it was not discharging water... the impellor was frozen. We used his kicker to get out to the fish and periodically would try the big motor to see if it had cleared... and it would. Sometimes rether quickly, some time after a few hours of trolling. HH
  3. I can always make time for you bud! HH
  4. Well, I came here for the women! Ontario Female Network was what I thought I saw... then I saw Joey in a cooler and thought, hmmmm, they know how to treat women here! I think I'll stay! I found this site via a link that Superdad had posted on the Quinte Forum... I was a member there for about a year, but that site is not a busy as this one and after lurking for a few weeks, I decided that I liked the tone of the board, I liked the way it was virtually self managed and I liked the way the members kidded each other. I will admit, as a newbie, I was a little put off by my initial impression that there is a "clique" here, but it's not really a clique, it's just folks who have met each other, actually, folks who have built relationships by putting themselves out there. I found that if you are willing to put yourself out there, give to the board, this board will pay you back in spades! I have met many friends here, some of whom I have been fortunate enough to now call close friends... I have been invited into people’s homes, boats and lives and I hold those very dear to my heart! Ok... enough sentimentality, truth is, I stayed hoping to some day meet CCMT! LMAO HH
  5. Absolutely Jimmer! I agree 100%... I feel that the world has gone from being mostly black and white, to a world where grey is the expected norm. There is no one answer to all problems, life would be way to simple if it were. One can find exceptions to every rule. HH
  6. Well Jimmer, I'd say that times have certainly changed, a lot, since I was a kid. Back in my day (crap I sound old) if a teacher told my parents that I was bad, for what ever reason, my parents immediately BELIEVED THE TEACHER!!! I can tell you that today, should a student mess up and the parents get called, the parents immediately take the position that their child could not have done that or it's the school/teachers' fault. All sense of accountability for actions are gone... which brings me to your other point about beating a child... well I, as mentioned earlier in this thread, had parents who believed in corporal punishment. To my mind, it was a highly effective tool. I second guessed all my moves, based on the extent of the beating I would get, should I get caught. It taught me two main things: -think twice before you do something wrong and to follow that gut reaction I would get just thinking about messing up! -DON"T GET CAUGHT!!!!!!!!!!! Probably the lesson I learned best... my brother, well he never really got that message! LOL HH
  7. Well Kwan, I can tell you in no un-certain terms, that when I was a kid and had screwed up bad, I was hoping that God would rescue me from my Dad and his slightly worn out fan belt he yielded with never before seen accuracy! HH
  8. Well I sure wouldn't mind seeing someone "label" Avery! HH
  9. Will, I would probably just blame Cliff, but that's my pat answer for most things these days! HH
  10. Thanks for the report guys! Hopefully Lloyd catching those guys on his boat will deter them from future pillaging. Maybe Lloyd should re-name his business U and Me Goat herders!LMAO HH
  11. As a long time Leaf fan, this current version of the Leafs has me pretty confused... I have become so accustomed to seeing them barely scratch the surface of mediocrity, that I am just not sure how to react to this young season!!! My standard defense mechanisms have been pushed aside, however, I have been mislead far too many times in the past to allow my optimism to surface. To those who are not Leaf fans, please allow us these fleeting moments of joy... I think we collectively have earned it! HH
  12. I'll be playing with my band in hopes of having three 45 minutes sets ready to go early in the new year... hoping to play to drunken fools once a month! HH
  13. Come on guys, it wasn't a salmon he snagged, it was a porpoise! It simply in haled the beer tab through it's blow hole! Heck, most of the OFNER's I've met would dive in the water for a beer tab, in hopes of finding the beer! On the up side, no marshmellows were harmed in the making of that video. (Hee hee... I said blow hole!) HH
  14. Tightlines in Pickering! HH
  15. Jiggin Rap with power maggots! Done! HH
  16. I've been using "Super Glue" for years on my lead core rod... I simply pull back a couple of inches of the sheath, cut the core, insert my usualy mono line and glue up the overlap. I usually tack the point where the sheath ends, to hold the mono in position, allow it to dry for a minute or two, then, I saturate the two with glue... it has never failed me yet! Makes reeling in pretty much seemless through the rod guides and onto the reel. No tubes required. HH
  17. Tell him you have decided to change your mind about selling the boat since Mr. Whiskers has met his demise... and you will be burying him in the boat as you are no longer in a position to take the financial hit of a proper burial service. HH PS... swedish meat balls are brutal!
  18. The best tip I can give you for the area is to bring your camera! The lake in that area have been hit hard by acid rain... fishing opportunities are very limited... but the scenery up there is 2nd to none, so bring the camera, the hiking boots and have fun! If you have access to a boat, Baie Fine is the world's only freshwater fjord and a simply beautiful place to see. HH
  19. HH
  20. Nice shot Wayne! And I see from the other pic, that you got Lloyd's good side! LMAO HH
  21. I was fishing the pier at Goderich, many years ago, and yes, fishing for the Wiley River Hog, also known as carp! I was with some newbies so I was distracted for a minute and when I looked back, my rod was gone!!! Grabbed one of the newbies rods, tied on a big heavy spoon and started chuckin it and dragging bottom. Got the rod back and a little 5pd Carp still on the line... So as others have said... probably a carp, but you never know, it could have been a mutated Gobie! HH
  22. Chance, when have facts actually had anything to do with a discussion around here! HH
  23. Boy Dara, I gotta say that I'm pretty happy that you don't live next door to me! HH
  24. I'm pretty sure that we can get a Px for this! HH
  25. Pretty muc sums up my feelings on my fellow Torontonians!!!! Unfortunately, most of us are un-aware that we do not own our property! We think we do, however, should the city decide to do something with your property, you have very little recourse against them... you may "own" your house, but essentially, your "rent" your land from the Corporation that is the city. It's my understanding that existing house will have their parking situation grandfathered, by the city, meaning that only new homes will have to abide by this new by-law... and the city officials have indicated that they will only investigate/charge folks based on complaints received. HH
