  1. Nicely done !!!!!!!!!!
  2. That's crazy Lew,the time we were stopped,we could here people talking all around.Scary when you heard a motor start, luckily it stopped almost as fast as it started. When the fog lifted there must of been 15 boats with in a 50 yard circle from the ramp.No one could see,but only hear .
  3. Do you think CT would carry this bushing? .Would save buying two balls, not that it would be that much anyways.
  4. Great shots guys, scary stuff.I was caught in a zero visibility fog.Have the dash mounted compass, but would not dare head west.Probably hit some dock or rocks. The fog gave way about a hour or so later.
  5. Thanks,I will look into that.No good the way it is.
  6. Installed the new hitch on the truck.Receiver slid in nice. The receiver is rated 500lb tongue,5000 lb tow.Well within my limits. My question is the hole is way over sized for my 1 7/8" and 2 "ball stem.It will fit in,but a lot of forward and back play as well side to side.Is there a bushing I may need?. Are there larger shank balls for that hole?. My explorer bumper hole was a tad loose, but not as bad as this.Any ideas would be appreciated as always.Thanks. Dave.
  7. Discussion with Big Cliff last year about life jackets changed a couple of our thoughts about them.New ones bought, and will be wearing.Better late ,then the alternative.Sad outcome non the less.
  8. Wouldn't doubt that for a minute. Was thinking the same thing.
  9. Great idea, when I was small I was not allowed to lose one lol.Looking back 45 years or more, don't think I ever lost one.The "What may happen" if you lose it was something I knew first hand.My how times have changed,my two boys ,could never be that harsh.I think a lot of us know what I'm talking about?. Having said that, looks like Nick you now have a couple other options. Love your reports with the little guy.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  10. Good point !
  11. My condolences as well.Thank goodness my boat is to big for one person.Wear your life jackets. My sides are to high so I have a small bucket that works well.I would be hard pressed to get over the side when I'm at least waist height on the side wall fighting a fish.On your own, anything can happen.Very sad !!
  12. I have one of those great old school ladders with the rounded aluminum rail and wood slats. Two piece and is tied up in half with one of those heavy duty black bungy cords I will call them .Little stretch at all.Great for a dive in ,and easy coming in.
  13. Great read, pretty smart now aren't they?.That last one was the killer. I would do the same. Thanks for posting Rick. A lot of lessons to be learned here !!
  14. No,just hearing some downed trees in Spring Water and Tiny townships.Looks like the Midland area had some high winds as well.
  15. Thank goodness the speed limit is only 100km.With a trailer,I would think that is fine .
  16. Try Tiffen Barrie about 2pm on a Sat.Your doing well !!!!!
  17. Why do they make these fish look so close ? Just call it at Browntic lolol.
  18. Just need to pick your days on Lake O.North wind on the north shore ,or no wind can work well.
  19. Not sure where your marking, could it still be a spun prop?.I just took my prop in and they new right away.No charge till I told them to make it right .
  20. Always nice to take a chance Rick,it paid off better than OK.!!!!!!!Nice fish.
  21. Agreed,great start Mike !!!
  22. My argument was, this Bear was surrounded by the Calvary .He would not be given a chance to roam.Man hours and such figure into this, but the bear did not (IMO) probably not know how he got there.Didn't seem like he was given a fair chance IMO.I can see hunting, one against one. This fellow looked scared less. What's done ,is done.To bad I say.,
  23. Glad your positive . .
