I didn't want to highjack the other thread so I thought I would post this here where it is more on topic. Many (most?) of the so called floater suits are not approved as a PFD. That raises the question; just how much floatation does do they (non-approved ones) provide? I suspect that if they don't have approval it is because the don't meet the requirement for a PFD (I believe that is a mimimum of 15 pounds of floatation). I wonder if people are getting a false sense of security when the where a 'floater suit' that is not approved for use as a PFD.

Actually, I think that legalizing marijuana is pretty low priority for him. Low enough that I am not convinced that it will even happen in this mandate.

The way I read it on one of the reviews that I found, somebody's phone (that uses TrackR) will need to be near it. Better than nothing. But I doubt that it will help you find your car topper that someone stashed on a back lake... Are you complaining about lack of warranty on a 30 year old suit??? What if you are already wearing a PFD underneath your suit?

I think that you are right; it did used to be more than one section. It also used to be run by a different group. I think OFAH had a show there for many years. They merged with the Toronto Sportsman Show and then someone else organized a new show in the same location and time slot as the cancelled show. I cannot remember which year that was. But I don't think the new show was ever as big as the old one.

If you want to be sure that the lake has brook trout; you can check the MNR stocking lists. Topo maps may be able to help with some, trails. But you cannot depend on them to be up to date.

It's bull. The only way he can get money from you for trespassing would be to sue in civil court. In order to sue in court, he would have to prove damages. E.g if he rented his land to some hunters, but they cancelled their trip because you had been hunting there without permission, he could sue for lost revenue. He is not going to be able to collect $5,000 just because you set foot on his property. You could also be fined for trespassing. But that is completely different. The landowner doesn't collect fines, the government does.

Can anybody tell me if there are MotorGuide and/or Lowrance booths at the Spring Fishing & Boat Show? I have some questions about linking a Lowrance to my MotorGuide. I was hoping that they would be at the show. I don't see them listed in the directory. But they could be under a parent company. I would appreciate any information that you can give me.

Another this to consider is Ontario's Trilium plan. The government will provide assistance with prescription drugs over and above a deductable. The deductable will be based on your family income. In the case of my wife, we had to pay the first $1,250 per quarter; any prescription drugs over that amount will be covered by the government. It didn't help us much because our costs were about equal to our deductable; but it may take the sting out a major illness for some families.

I would agree if it was a more useful plan. But with a $1,500 & $750 annual limits on drugs dental and $3,700+ in annual fees; it doesn't sound like this plan is going to much help anyway. Unless the plan include life and disability and/or critical illness payouts, it will be pretty hard to come out ahead.
