I wouldn't remove the from hood. Just run some planks down each side and attach a flat platform to the planks. As others have said; something needs to be done about the trailer. The bunks should extend right to transom. You may need to both move the boat forward and install longer bunks.

The DEC will be maintaining the stocking levels (a 20% reduction from 2016 levels) for 2018. On a positive note, they did mention record alewife production for 2017. Unless the lake has changed significantly in the last few years, walleye are tough to find there. Pike and bass are more plentiful.

The gate to the Rouge was open earlier this month. I am not sure why they would have closed it again. I am resigned to Bluffers not opening at all this year. It would be nice if I turn out to be wrong on that one.

Pure strain muskies have pointed fins. Pike & tiger muskies have rounded fins.

The bigger males may try to keep the smaller ones away, but they can't really stop other males from sneaking in for a squirt while the female lays her eggs. So multiple males will fertilize the eggs of a single female; I suspect that those males will also fertilize other females too. Interestingly, the jacks are more fertile and can shoot a bigger load than the larger males. So a quick sneak attack may allow them to fertilize as many eggs as the dominant male that stays with the female. Females have some control too. They will adjust the rate that they lay eggs based on which males are close by.

Winter gas evaperates quicker than summer gas; so it works better in colder temperatures. I am not sure if it is much cheaper to make though.

Right now they'd be a good choice as one vehicle for a two vehicle family. Many families have more than one vehicle; so this doesn't mean they would be buying an extra vehicle. They could use an electric vehicle for local errands and still have a gas vehicle for long drives where range would be a factor. This could help provide some time for the infrastructure to be built. If it's a hybrid, it uses the gas engine to keep the battery charged. Although plugging it once in while may still be beneficial. The actual cost is a good question. I remember reading recently that the Ontario government gives a credit of up to $14k for an electric car. They can afford to do that if more people start buying electric? Can more people afford to by electric if they don't offer the credit? The other issue is gas taxes. The government collects a lot of revenue from the sale of fuel. One of the reasons for these taxes is to pay for the roads. So owners of electric cars are not contributing to the cost of building and maintaining the roads. This will become an issue if electric vehicles ever capture a significant share of the market. If electric vehicles become more popular, the government will need to find a way to replace the lost revenue.

Yeah, they are getting a free ride right now (subsidized purchase price and no gas taxes) and still cost more than a gas vehicle. If electric vehicles become popular, the government will have to find an alternative source of revenue to replace the taxes that they currently collect from gasoline sales.
