  1. Thanks alot fishindude. I know what it is like fishing with out sonar. Not always the easiest thing to do. I will be bringing a portable one with me so I will atleast know the depth and that should help a bit. I didn't realize that it connected to the crowe river lol. When I lived in peterborough I used to head to the crowe river woth a buddy and fish there for pike alot so hopefully I can get some pike. Thanks again.
  2. Hey all. I was just wondering if you could tell me what the fishing is like on Cordova Lake in Havelock? I am heading up to a cottage there for a few days and I am not sure whats in the lake. I'm not asking for spots just what types of fish are in the lake. Or is it not worth bringing my gear. Thanks
  3. Thats awesome work bushart. I think that is my favourite piece I have seen yet by you. Good luck in the contest. Awesome job on the splash that must have been hard to get that so detailed. I am really impressed with that piece.

  10. Congrats Leechman. Hope you had a great day.
  11. That was an awesome video. Thanks for sharing that.
  12. I use the double uni and never had a problem.
  13. That's half the fun of fishing . I have days like that on Erie and it's usually just in need of a change of color or change to something that rattles. Just wondering where is a good place to launch on Simcoe. I have never fished it and I really want to now. The wife is letting me go fishing for the weekend for a birthday present. Maybe I'll make it up there and get some Simcoe Bass.
  14. Cool video Terry. There sure is a ton of bass out there. Maybe I will have to take a trip and take a day off of Erie.
  15. Nice job. Loooks like you had a good day out fishing. As for the crappie being good fighters, not really they are a aggressive scrappy little fish but pan fish. They are good to eat but I wouldn't eat them from Binbrook. They had a water problem before but I'm not sure its fixed or are working to make it better.
  16. I would assume that they are fishing close to shore for the same reason you are fishing bronte with all the other people on the Pier, because that's where the fish are. I mean you don't see that pier full everyday through the summer. That's because the fish aren't there. If you had a boat and the fish were in staging would you go out deep. Or stay where you know they are.
  17. Way to go Vince. Glad to hear you made it out with the daughters and got some. And nice job spincast.
  18. Have you played with the trim? I know my friend had his down all the way and when I was driving it, it felt stiff. Then I raised it abit and it was fine and got 5mph more out of it.
  19. You can also throw crankbaits around a rocky drop off and try dragging them across the rocks that can be pretty productive. As well as all the other tips.
  20. Nice Smallie. Got to love getting the hogs from the lakes you don't expect.
  21. Nice Job those are some nice fish.
  22. Where I launch is one of the better spots for the bass and it's easy to notice when seeing it, I wasn't trying to be a dick but where I launch really isn't near where I was fishing for those bass and it is a real good spot. If your looking for good bass fishing on erie stay closer to selkirk and area that's where theres alot of structure. The launching part really its hard to even say we launch of a point and just drive the truck and trailer in. There are no launches real close Austins park would be the closest but still far away but theres good bass all over erie.
  23. I was out a few different times in the day. I don't launch my boats in the water all summer at my parents. Also if it is choppy out then the spot I go to isn't anything worth risking to get there I am a few miles off shore. I won't give you anymore then that either it's your first post and your asking where to go. Try introducing yourself as most people do here. Lake Erie is full of bass if you fish it enough you will find big ones.
  24. Thanks guys and yes Erie was like glass it's not to often that happens a few miles off shore but sometimes. I would rather have some wind though I find the bite is better and you don't sweat your off.
