  1. They seem to here. Spring and fall, the bite slows down through mid summer. My observation from our lake over the past 12 years out fishing on a weekly basis.
  2. It’s just not boat to boat collisions, there are many that don’t pay attention to shoreline activity. On a hot summer day we swim off the end of our dock, umbrella is up, grandkids playing etc. etc. My seasonal neighbour from a few doors down decides to take his kids out tubing. No problem, but he thens proceeds to move closer and closer to the area that we are swimming in until for our own safety, we all have to exit the water while the continues to buzz past the end of our dock repeatedly. It’s an 18 thousand acre lake. Next time they are out, I’m going down to have a word with him. Just plain ignorance.
  3. Not that uncommon. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_fatal_bear_attacks_in_North_America
  4. These stories make me thankful I have my own launch.
  5. It does ?
  6. The one down side is that you can’t trim out a Jet Drive so they can be a little rougher in the waves. Also coming into dock is a bit more of an adventure. You only have steering control when you have thrust, also they do not reverse fast. So it is a little more unforgiving.
  7. Thanks. I’m impressed with the build quality of it.
  8. We have a lot of rocks and reefs in our lake and many channels, creeks and rivers. It’s a 9.9 Merc Pro Kicker four stroke. It moves it along nicely.
  9. Yes it is. Takes a little bit to get use to the Jet Drive. Handles completely different.
  10. Had it out for the break in. It does get up and move.
  11. Yes it’s a jet boat and those are the exhaust.
  12. Double post
  13. Looking forward to getting this out on the water.
  14. We have a dual fuel range. Electric oven, propane cook top. It’s hooks up to two 20 lb propane tanks. When one runs out, switch the valve to the second tank and replace the empty next time we go to town. We go through about 4 tanks a year.
  15. Also could be a stuck needle and seat due to varnish build up in the carb.
  16. The fuel pump works off of pulses in the crank case. If you’re not getting any fuel flow, it could be the pump has a rupture diapham , or the crankcase seals are shot.
  17. I’ve used both AutoGlym’s Leather Cleaner and their Leather Care Balm on my vehicle and our leather sofa with great results. Bought it at Cdn Tire.
  18. Lost the bulk of our house to a tornado about 8 years ago. Your first challenge will be dealing with the adjuster. My advice is to first determine the value of the property. Looking through local real estate pricing is your first start. From there on, if you encounter problems with the adjuster and the company, you can always chose to bring in a public adjuster to work on your behalf. In my case, the mere mention of this course, along with my expressed willingness to go to court for settlement suddenly brought about a quick a equitable settlement.
  19. That’s where the black bear came from. He was taken back to Winnipeg and named Winnie after the city. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Winnie-the-Pooh
  20. Ha ha ha. Stuff like this makes me laugh.
  21. 18 “ on Dinorwic
  22. You don’t have to go that far to experience this. Come west to NW Ont, Manitoba or Saskatchewan in winter.
  23. Desjardins for us. Been with them for 5 years for both home and auto. Gets cheaper every year.
  24. I’ve use Marine Grade Stabil in all my motors, both 2 stroke and 4 stroke, on every fill (fifteen motors in total) for the past 11 years. Never have had a fuel related issue. Well worth it in my opinion.
