Excellent advice! We become so accustomed to things that sometimes we forget to put safety first. Always have an escape route or procedure in the back of your mind for those worst case scenarios.

Yup, they will not make you sink, maybe a little harder to get back in the boat with the extra weight of water though.

In that price point, it limits your choice.Right now, i will be using a Corvalus that i picked up almost new for next to nothing.They run between 90-100 bucks.The one i have is cast aluminum with aluminum endcaps, and a thumb trigger line release. I am saving for a Caluctta next year, IF i decide to target them more often.

Both are ownwed by Brunswick Group of Companies, but manufactured under different rooves,using the original companies boat specs.

One word...............Pics or it never happened. Ok, thats 5 words Goes to show you, fish according to the conditions, not the calendar.

They are both excellent boats, with loads of great reviews.I purchased a Princecraft only because my Dad and his,both avid anglers, have been using them since the 80's.I love mine.

What about the Corvalus? The newer cast aluminum models like mine, has good ratings when reviewed next to the C4.

But would it be a good ALL purpose reel though.

It would make a better trolling reel, but if you want to cast with it, why not?

With all of the types,sizes,retrieve ratios,etc, does an "ALL" purpose real even exist? I sure hope not, cause i own 5 different reels now to cover the types of fishing i am expecting to do All purpose rods i can kind of understand, but what makes a real all purpose?
