Last season i made a promise to myself, to fish fewer days, but to take the time to fish new water and meet and fish with new people.I did both this summer.I found new and better local waters to fish, and thanks to a local facebook group, Montreal Fishing, i met some incredible local anglers and have fished with many of them. This year i would rate as above average, even though we had a class 2 drougt this summer.

The verdict is an excellent rod for the money.2 pieces is not lower quality.Some people like them, some dont. The only thing i find odd about the verdict is that the metal clamping screw loosens.I got around this by putting a single drop of superglue where the threads mesh.The glue lets go easily if you twist the clamp to remove the reel.

I think most people have never actually seen a Ranger BB out of water.Most assume its a flat bottom fishing platform. Your Ranger has a very pronounced V shaped hull which gives it incredible stability on the water.That and the width of the boat make it very comforable in choppy water. edited to add Wouldnt want to have it on Franny in 35mph winds out in the open though.The Franny is a whole different ball game for sure.

Especially in Valleyfield. I have fished there a number of times this summer, and west winds of 20K produce huge waves and very difficlt launching where they held the event.Its one long stretch of water from Lancaster to Valleyfield with nothing to slow down the wind.

Not compatble with a floating bass platform, thats for sure.
