If you like a low profile reel I would recommend a Shimano Curado.They come in a few different ratios and sizes.I'm sure a few will back me up on this.If you like the high profile stuff the Ambassador reels are a great reel for the price.Good luck! Joe

Gerrit,If i read it correctly a while back the owner was making 1% of his income from the site and was taking up a large percentage of his time.I have been here for a long time also and yes the place has changed,some ways for the better and some ways for the worse.If the guys want to incorporate and make a go at it I will support them.I hope they do well.I have met all of the mods here,as have you ,and can say they are all top notch guys and would not hesitate to help them in any way I could just as they would do the same for you or me.They are not a faceless mega corperation but a few guys trying to make this thing work out.Just my thoughts on this subject. Nils Lofgren..thats a blast from the past.He did a song in the late 70's when the Washinton Bullets(now the Wizzards,talk about PC crap)called Bullets Fever.was a #1 hit in the area.He is a big basketball fan(I dont get it) and is a pretty good player in his own right..for a shrinp.Great singer though.

Oh yeah..Johnny brings the lyrics home in his version...Still have a hard time watchin him sing.I grew up with his songs.He died inside when June went.I can still remember Tennesse Flat Top Box when it first came out.

I make a lot of jerky.I usually use deer meat as the fat content is low.Marinate overnite in the fridge.Remove and pat dry with a paper towell.My recipe is much like Joey's but I dont care for liquid smoke much.The last couple of batches I used Mcormicks Jamacain jerk marinade..nothing else.It was great for a change of pace!Good luck and enjoy!!! I would add that you should do this sooner than later.These things are made now to wear out and not be rebuilt in the field.They are not all that tough to replace though. Joe
