Nice Buck..I have a freeind that says that a big buck will make an honest man a criminal!I'm mostly a meat hunter and have taken many deer over the years but I still get the shakes when I see a buck while I'm hunting.Even a doe at first light on a crisp fall day,with nothing but air between me and my quarry still gives me the shakes.As far as doing it the wrong way..I would be afraid of the Karma involved..As they say in Slapshot,no no never.....again' the rules!Glad they got the guy,hope he never sees another deer with a rifle in his hands,that would be punishment enough! Around here the larger have soft and yellow meat.They fry up a little tough.I prefer to eat the 12 to 18 inch ones but love to catch the big ones.Very strong fish. Joe

Maybe a few minutes longer than that.Down river would be ugly!!There are lots of great areas to fish on the way to the lake.I never had to leave the river in the 5 or 6 times I stayed there.Marty knows that area pretty well. Joe

I am going to smoke a couple of trout this thankgiving for the hungry hordes decending upon my house Thurday.I cant find my brine recipe so I'm a bit in the weeds on this one.The trout are farm raised rainbows that are butterfly filleted.Whats a good solution?How long do I brine them and how long to smoke at what temp?Thanx, Joe

One of the most anti climactic boring races...ever.I hate the chase format,everyone afraid to near the 10 golden boys makes for some boring races especially on the 1.5 milers.Congrats to JJ and team,they earned it!
