  1. Not so much the mud as the rising waters. The rain washes mud and along with the mud comes worms, grubs and other bugs. The cats can get up along shore and root around in spots they could not reach before the rain.Art and I cleaned some cats one year that were full of Soy beans. It was after a tropical storm that flooded the soybean fields up river. The cats must have been rooting around in the fields eating anything they could find.Rising water almost always brings out the cats. Joe
  2. Fianlly got some rain to muddy up the river so we could get a shot at some cats..Got to try out my new tow rig.It worked perfectly, has a tow package with a "tow" button on the shifter. First fish of the day was this girl. She went back for another day.Caught 5 or 6 others smaller ones for a fish fry. She was 29 inches long,we forgot the OFC logo so my team does not get any inches out of the deal. Joe
  3. It will be a very simple test.Make sure that no water is being run in the house.Fill a gallon jug and watch the meter with the water guy standing there. He will know what to do next.If the meter is calibrated correctly, check for leaky toilets. Joe
  4. There is a chance of this happeneing for me.Where are people staying, not much of a camper in November in Canada. Will prolly need a spot in a boat or I could bring a boat but will need someone to guide me to those monster walleyes. Joe
  5. All but two were fired, the two were on admin leave without pay.I cant understand how someone would jeopardize their familys well being for a toke and a drink at lunch. They know the rules about proper workplace behavior and yet they feel that a little buzz is worth their job...dumasses!So many sober unemployed people but these donkies need to get a workday buzz.I dont think I want these guys making my shoelaces! The sense of entitlemant of some of these union guys knows no boundries!I have no problem with drinking and smoking but do it afterhours. Joe
  6. There is this ugly ballerina in a tu tu that gives them out at OFC GTG's.Thats where I got mine at least. Joe
  7. Sometimes we talk funny down here. The way it goes is two feet of water, three foot of water.Dunno why,its the way it is.Not wrong, just different. A Cajun man wants a job, but the foreman won't hire him until he passes a little math test. Here is your first question, the foreman said. "Without using numbers, represent the number 9." "Without numbers?" The Cajun says, "Dat is easy." And proceeds to draw three trees. " What's this?" the boss asks? "Ave you got no brain? Tree and tree and tree make nine," says the Cajun. ! "Fair enough," says the boss. "Here's your second question. Use the same rules, but this time the number is 99." The Cajun stares into space for a while, then picks up the picture that he has just drawn and makes a smudge on each tree. "Ere you go." The boss scratches his head and says, "How on earth do you get that to represent 99?" "Each of da trees is dirty now. So, it's dirty tree, and dirty tree, and dirty tree. Dat is 99." Surely Microsoft can find a place for him!!!!! The boss is getting worried that he's going to actually have to hire this Cajun, so he says, "All right, last question. Same rules again, but represent the number 100." The Cajun stares into space some more, then he picks up the picture again and makes a little mark at the base of each tree and says, "Ere you go. One hundred." The boss looks at the attempt. "You must be nuts if you think that represents a hundred!" The Cajun leans forward and points to the marks at the base of each tree and says, "A little dog come along and crap by each tree. So now you got dirty tree and a turd, dirty tree and a turd, and dirty tree and a turd, which makes one hundred." "So, when I start?"
  8. Good advice Bernie,I lost a brake line on my suburban.Replaced the line and another blew out when bleeding the brakes.Sold the truck the next day and told the new owner about the lines.Sure hope he replaces the rest of the lines. Check to see if the back brakes are working, what Bernie said.If all work and there is no fluid loss then the MC is prolly pooched.I have heard of the fluid leaking into the booster and getting sucked into the motor thru the vacuum line.Dont know if this is possable in the newer motors though.Take a look for smoke in the exhaust when braking. Joe
  9. I saw that van in that area this past June.I think I saw it at Lakair a few years ago.He must get around.

  23. I am not at all surprised to hear this.Unlike many places in cyberspace there is accountability here. Many members know each other in real life and as Roy said it not a good idea to screw one of "us" over. Joe
  24. Good job Bud,you made it another year.Heres to many more! Joe
  25. I'm with Roy.Two altercations in a short time is one too many.Thats two more than I have had in the last 30 years.
