  1. Jeeze that perch is huge, nice work.
  2. Right on very nice fish. I've yet to catch one of those myself...still hunting. Thanks for sharing, nice report.
  3. oh my GOD!
  4. Sandybay and Fishhunter, thanks guys I'll goggle them thats sounds like what im talking about.
  5. Hey guys and gals Im currently looking at http://www.ontariooutofdoors.com/icefishing/articles/?ID=327&a=read to look for a small hut rental that would allow you to fish all day and night then sleep inside it for the night. Im routing thru alot of outfitters, but alot offer up the cottage/hut or the bigger ice bungalows which 2 of us dont want. Im gonna continue to look, but thought I'd ask someone whos been there done that. Nippising, Kawarthas, Simcoe, BOQ dosent really matter. I remember reading a few years back or maybe last year about Scugog, but havent come across any in my serch yet. Im gonna continue to hunt, but thoght I'd ask. Thanks Greg.
  6. Saw those reels in the glass case your talking about Misfish..were those pricey or what, Orange one had me at hello, but I'll stick to my Crappy Tire $50 combo lol. I went looking for a decent deal, on a combo, but couldnt find one I liked price wise..oh well.
  7. Just got back a little while ago. Same ol same ol, but hey I enjoy it, gets me dreamin of some soft water days ahead. Sat and watched a fellow talk about some Mizmo soft baits..I think thats what there called and some oil and chap stick scent stuff for your lures. Actually enjoyed listening to him (forget his name)and talked fishing with him after his presntation. Overall a great way to kill a few hours and check out whats new.
  8. Reduce, Reuse, Recycle. Nice job right there. I'm the same way with holding on to odds and ends out in the garage...you never know. I just wish I had a welder and knew how to use it. Lord knows what I'd be making.
  9. Great fish way to go!
  10. That's a hard one. I did tell a fella once and did ask him to keep it to him self. I'm rather unheard of around here only because I suck at computers, but I'm getting better. I've got some pictures of Lake X bass that are stupid huge, but I fear that because I've taken photos of them with the iPhone the place can be detected. Or so I've heard. Am I right??
  11. Yeah it's handy to know a gas fitter. Wouldn't hurt to ask for a 2nd shutoff installed inside as well. When you go out fishing no one creeps around your backyard and for dirt throws on the outside valve. Just sayin.
  12. Yup you got it Fisher. The guy would likely come off the already capped "T" in the basement, run some pipe from "T" to outside wall. Secure pipe on outside wall with hangers/clips and install an outdoor shutoff valve. On the downstream side of that valve goes a quick disconnect and thats about it. Plug the rubber hose supplied with the BBQ into the quick connect and VOILA!!! your cooking with gas. For 5' of pipe and labour maybe $300 or so I'd say.
  13. Hopefully late Friday afternoon if work dosent get in my way. Fortuneatly I work down the street.
  14. Sounds like a plan, sign me up for a chance please.
  15. Very nice thanks for sharing, looks like my kinda trip.
  16. That looks amazing, way cool. Is it wrong to wana drape that over me and scare people?lol.
  17. Sandbag: yeah seemed to be around the 25' mark maybe. They defiantly wernt biting like two weeks ago up there. Chris: thy shall eat thy catch...except Cisco and Muskie, other rules and common sense stuff like pick up your trash. Pics: yeah no kidding. These two times up there this year at Casey's is the only time I've seen the floor carved open that much. It dosent leave a lot of room for error. Lol.
  18. Nice little haul man, cant say the same for us yeaterday...no keepers.
  19. Some nice looking Walleye you caught right there. Wish I was banging those.
  20. Nice Cudz. Yeah keep your eye open at the dollar stores. From time to time you'll get some lure deals. Of all places. Princess Auto is another one, in the surplus section. Keep that in mind.
  21. Well thanks to Mother Nature work was held off, but not held off enough for some more fishin! Off to Caseys Huts in Port Bolster again. Road conditions were less than favorable on the way up with multiple spinouts and crashes all over the 401. We used the same outfitter as last time, but it did'nt run as smoothly. All his equipment had sucome to the snow (2 Argos and a bombider), outta his control I guess and it didnt get us down. We had to wait around a little bit, but finally made our way out. I was hoping to land some keepers agin, but it wouldnt happen this go around. The fishing was slow and the perch have seemed to have moved off onto other places. We managed about 10 perch each and 2 hearing each. Oh well cant win them all the time, but its better than the best day at work. MNR was out bombing around again keepin things in check. Onto a few pics.
  22. What Jedimaster said. I suck at computers, but can figure out photobucket.
  23. WOW nice hog man very nice! Was that a little rapala jigging minnow you were using? I was using a soft version, if thats what it was, a few week ago and it produced. Thanks for the pics.
  24. Kinda on topic for the race fans, the International Center has a Canadian Motorsports show going on this weekend. (Derry Rd and Airport Rd. Mississauga) Dont mean to hijack your thread Misfish, but figured some race inthusists would be reading your post and might like to know this as well.
