  2. Thanks for lesson. I did'nt have any idea they called Lake Herring, "Cisco". In fact I thought they were White fish until another ice fisher had said no there herring. Just looking at the regs and yup they say it right there for Zone 16 Lake Simcoe. Thanks guys happy fishin!
  3. Nice haul guys wow. Peerchin is fun, just getting into it this year and im hooked. Headin back up this weekend myself. What were you guys using for bait? 2 weeks ago we were using minnows. Myself I had a spoon tipped with a minnow and the 2 other fellas with me were using plain hooks with minnows. Do the cisco swim around the 15' mark just below the ice? Is that what I was seeing a few weeks ago? someone had mentioned it was hearing.
  4. I was out a few weeks ago on Simcoe and I'd say you could see down about 16'+/-
  5. Damm that's some nice fish right there.
  6. Awsome, I'd love that surprise for sure.
  7. Hey Fishdawg just make sure or maybe someone on here can confirm if theres a return train. In my younger days I remember taking the train to Speedorama or some car show only to come out and no train. Needless to say Pops wasnt impressed with having to pick us up. Just sayin.
  8. Nice stuff man. We were up there Saturday and pretty much the same non stop action minius the pike. Good stuff!! and nice hut.
  9. Thanks guys for lookin! Beans I'd be lying if I told you what it was. He told us it was 20 years old or so and had only use it a few times before. I've seen them at crapp tire and fishing stores before, but dont know what they call it. I could of sworn he was reeling in reverse to what you'd normally reel and it had 2 sensativity (what I'd call it) guides. Good eye Beans lol.
  10. lolololol Man I hought it was gonna turn ugly. Good one.
  11. Just a mini report of sorts. Called Caseys ( http://www.timeonthewater.ca/caseys_popup.html )on Simcoe Monday and had zero issues getting a hut for this past Saturday (26th). Went out with a buddy from work and his uncle. Between the 3 of us we landed about 70 perch a 3 hearing. Havent been to Simcoe in many moons, but will be heading back hopefully before ice out. Aprox 8-10" of ice about a kilometer or so straight out from Port Bolster. To be honest alot of dinks 6" or so and some keepers 8-9". My I was able to land a 12" jumbo which was cool. Conservation Officers were out in full force as well. They stoped in and asked us for licenese and what not..all was cool. We got great servic from Caseys and would use them again. Argo ride out and back as well as a few checks throughout the day. I recomende them. hopefully the pics come out as Im computer stupid. Thanks for looking Pidge.
  12. Ok gotcha Bill. Just re-read the Zone 16 again and I get what your saying now. Im looking at the "Zone 16 Seasons and Limits" now and understand. Thanks man for clearing that up for me you've been a great help to me. May the fishing Gods smile down on you lol.
  13. Hey thanks alot guys, dont wana get into any trouble out there. Bill, I realize you say its all in the regs, but do you read that the way I do when you look at the regs? Its reads kinda confusing to me, but I'll take your advice and not fish there, but I'm just sayin. I'm not a river/stream fisherman, always likes, but looking to get into some action. Thanks again fellas.
  14. Could someone please be kind enough to help me figure out a regs question reguarding the Credit River, I dont wana end up on the wrong side of the law. The regs say for Zone 16: Water Body..."Credit River and tribs.-from the south side of Old Baseline Rd. bridge, Town of Caledon, Regional Municipality of Peel, upstream to Hwy 9" Exception Details..."Fish Sanctuary-no fishing from Jan. 1-Fri. before 4th Sat. in April & Oct. 1-Dec.31 right below this it says.. Water Body...Credit River and Tribs. upstream of Old Baseline Rd., Town of Caledon, Regional Municipality of Peel. Exception Details...Only artificial lures may be used. Only one single-pointed barbless hook may be used. Brook Trout S-0 and C-0 Brown Trout S-0 and C-0 Rainbow Trout S-0 and C-0 I need help understanding what these mean please. I read it as one says no fishing north (upstream) of the south side of the bridge to Hwy 9, but looking at the other it seems fishing is okay North (upstream) of Old Baseline Rd., but your not allowed to keep any, which is okay by me. I like catch and release. Could anybody please shed some light on this and give me some help. Thanks Pidge.
  15. Can you get cats used at a wrecker??? Go to Rockauto.com Apparently thats the place to get parts that are great on the cheap. Magnaflow makes aftermarket cats that I hear are cheaper then the factory ones, but ive only heard that and cant confirm it. With that amount of kilometers Id be driving that for a little while longer man. Whereabouts are you located Oggie?
  16. wow! cant belive it, theres still ice on those lakes. Well thanks guys for the info.
  17. Hey Vito how'd it go? I've never fished primarly for trout myself and for the past hour or so have had 3 windows open on the computer digging around for info on Algonquin.
  18. princess auto perhaps??? alot of towing goddies there
  19. Thanks tb4me
  20. Can you hear the motor working??? If so I'd check what "Cuzza" has said. Pop the hood and start looking around the winshield area for screws that hold the cowl. The hood may have to be lowered again to fully remove the cowl, but once its removed you'll get acess to the linkages. Like Cuzzy said it may just need to be poped back on. My old truck did this a few times and I finally had to replace the linkage. Cheap part, cheaper if you can do it yourself. Good luck.
