TORONTO SPORTSMEN SHOW February 7 – 10 Direct Energy Centre Exhibition Place http://www.sportshows.ca TORONTO FISHING & BOAT SHOW February 15 – 18 International Centre 6900 Airport Rd. Mississauga http://www.springfishingandboatshow.com
I have both and like them both the same, they get the work done. Both nothing spectacular like a Steez or Stella.
For light weight get the CI4 for smoothness get the Ballistics.
For $150-$200 new i would look at the Gen 3 Revo STX. I prefer the light weight and drag power of the Abu's in the sub $200 price range. In fact, i just got 2 new Gen3 STX's as punching and frogging reels.
If you are looking to spend about $300 look at a T3 Ballistic or better yet a Core.
As for line...50lb FX2 or 20lb Sniper.
Checkout some new lures i just got..the finish and detail are amazing.
AR Lures wood cranks from Japan
Can't leave out my fav. megabass.
Newest White Python
nice report....
my 2012 was pretty good, 5 tournies, finished top 3 about 3 times and a big fish.
goals for 2013 is to perfect my new techniques and work on learning lakes.
need to cut some costs, got 6 new combos in 2012!
Abu's reels are great. Love the new lineup, the new stx is a awesome reel at a low price of $199.
Their rods on the other hand suck balls. They need to improve on the weight distribution and handles.
looking at a proper bib and jacket. Would like to buy locally as i want to try on the bib and jacket first. I dont want to spend $500 and have bib too long or sleeves too short!! what rain gear do you guys recommend? BPS 100 MPH, Frabill FXE, or the new Shimano Dryfenders?
Look at a 2 piece compre. Lifetime warranty and many actions to choose from. Another option would be fenwick elite tech smallmouth series line of rods but sure if they offer the action you desire.
I got a tournament pro lews speed spool and it's great. Comparable to my Abu Revo's. Changed up some Boca bearings and it's a pitching machine. Great value reel.
