  1. And something to wash it down I hope!
  2. About says it all. I will always wonder what he could have contributed after he dealt with his health problems. His passion for his constituents was unquestionable.
  3. I surveyed that lake for the MNR and the rest in the chain (Harry, Welcome and Rence). Not sure if they're still special regulations but they were at one time. Welcome certainly is a beautiful lake and I do remember that beach even though I haven;t been in there since 1971. I'd thnnk the brookies will be on top at that time of year but they're hard to pattern in a lake so trolling the fly makes sense.
  4. Makes sense Big Cliff. It was in the instructions that I read after the hose blew. I just assumed it was the cause of the problem. The short piece of hose from the pump to the external hose attachment blew out the side. I tried to get into the unit to replace the hose. Yeah right!!! They still sell the same unit at Canadian Tire in fact it's on sale this week. STEER CLEAR GUYS!
  5. Yes it was just on the FM radio channel as well. Finally we might get a heads up if there is a disaster heading out way. A good use of technology IMO.
  6. Bought a Simoniz 2000psi (frequently on sale at Canadian tire for around $200) and it lasted one year. It was stored inside all winter. It blew the internal hose from the pump to the external connection. IMPOSSIBLE to get apart to fix. Apparently I screwed up by not letting the system fill completely with water before pressurizing?? Used it twice and had to toss it.
  7. Yeah that's what I meant. The best Canadian team would get to play in the first round and then that's it unless they win. So yeah a Canadian Division wouldn't work.
  8. The only problem with an All Canadian Division is the total elimination of Canadian teams as the playoffs progress. The best you can hope for is one Canadian team at the end of the playoffs in the Finals. I do hear you about the backdoor entry into the playoffs being less than admirable.
  9. Just thinking how hard it'll be to stay interested in the playoffs with no Canadian team involved. I hear a lot of bars crying for business. I guess the Jays will help out in that department. Should the NHL look at having a Wild Card position for the Canadian team that finishes highest? It seems a shame to dump over half the hockey market at playoff time. How hard would that be to implement?
  10. I like their team defense. They haven't had a shutdown defense in my life time. How many games did they blow late inthe third period over the years!
  11. Good info here guys. Can anyone suggest a good set of instruction or a you tube video for a guy that really needs to learn to sharpen a knife properly?
  12. Just wondering if the stripped down packages and select channel option will be offered to Express Vu or is it strictly for cable subscribers?
  13. Just think nice warm Saturday afternoon in May with a typical playoff game on ......... I know I won't give up the nice day to watch two American teams. I'll take it out on the turkeys I'm hunting!
  14. Well trading REimer will make the tanking less obvious. Looking over your shoulder Edmonton? Disgraceful way to improve your odds of a first overall pick. I wish Reimer all the best. He and his wife weren't treated very well in Toronto. Bet he's smiling heading to a playoff team. His best hockey took place in the playoffs.
  15. I don't even fish on a cold front. Not a big fan of the North winds and Cliff you sure are right about walleye and cold fronts. I'm interested in the perch and how they respond as well. I've found it slow and really cold, windy days .......like today!
  16. That gives a whole new meaning to the expression "and under the palm trees at Monte Ray marina". I like those palm trees much better. BTW if you don't recognize that expression check out the Blue Ice Reports for Lake Simcoe.
  17. Geez do they have 19 million left to cut! Sad! More fund-raising so the CO's have gas for their trucks. I hear a lot of poachers cheering!
  18. I wish! Just a spot I'd like to see remain as is. One mention of a spot on here and well you know what happens.
  19. check your messages DAve
  20. I still like to see some studies from the AMA or CMA. Anyone able to cite mainstream references? There's a lot of pseudo-science out there and some even have degrees and diplomas in that area.
  21. Totally agree as long as we dump the Young Offenders Act. How can you not be held accountable for your actions yet you can legally drive a car, own a firearm, etc. If you're old enough to do all that and smoke a joint then you're old enough to face the music when you screw up.
  22. Definitely not my favorite smell on a river when steelheading and I always seem to be downwind why is that??? Oh yeah and the same applies when deer hunting ..... always seem to downwind!
  23. I'll take you're word for it Dutch. It just defies logic as to how marijuana smoke wouldn't be as bad or worse than cigarette smoke. Any smoke isn't good for you ..... it's common sense. I can see the use of THC in properly regulated clinical amounts to control a medical condition if the med hellps. Smoking a joint isn't in any way a controlled amount. It depends on a gazzilion variables. How do you know how much THC to take to control the symptoms? Lets face it we're legalizing marijuana for the same reasons we legalized gambling, alcohol, prostitution etc. The masses want it legalized and criminal enforcement hasn't worked. So lets tax the crap out of it and move on! LOL
  24. That's been pretty much how I feel. The changes in their personalities was pretty easy to see as well. It definitely gives you the Cheech and Chong delivery if you smoke a lot IMO. It's no different than alcohol so smoke it if you want but it sure won't improve your health although it'll help you think you are healthier.
  25. Check out the credibility of the organization before you cite them. Anyone can belong to the ATS as long as you pay you're membership fee. You're not reading a study by the AMA or Scientific American here. If you pay enough money to a research group you can come up with any conclusion you want. The ATS has been accused of being influenced by interest groups. https://books.google.ca/books?id=KUfvQpxRfo0C&pg=PA136&lpg=PA136&dq=Credibility+of+the+American+Thoracic+Society&source=bl&ots=bIsgrlqz5G&sig=GVtNwQEwy9TZRYaA-KyqvXEn9Hk&hl=en&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwisydCDrZPLAhUGqR4KHazZATkQ6AEIRzAI#v=onepage&q=Credibility%20of%20the%20American%20Thoracic%20Society&f=false The tobacco industry funded studies like that for years too.
