  1. I'm only familiar with the SPOT GPS beacons - they work well. I actually have one for sale in the misc forums if your interested - but it wont allow you to text from your phone, allows you to send predefined messages.
  2. Wow some great pics, huge gators! Thanks for sharing..
  3. Dont know if it was a fake but that salesman genuinely looked terrified!
  4. Hey, I've owned a few ATV's in the past, and used them for back country fishing as you will. 1. Polaris Magnum 350 - Underpowered but a decent machine. Unfortunately this was stolen after I owned it a few months. 2. I replaced with a Magnum 500 - Lots of power! Very capable and I owned it for 2 years with no issues. 3. I traded in the Magnum for a Yamaha Rhino 420cc because of all the gear I carry, and wanted to take passengers with me. I absolutly loved the machine and owned it for several years - Did much ice fishing, backwoods fishing and trail riding with it. As was said its your money, get your opinions sit on a few and test a few if you can, pick the one thats right...
  5. Thanks for sharing! Those are some beauty lakers for sure..
  6. I usually wear a pair of misty mountain thermal underwear underneath and I am fine. On top I wear some underarmour and layer up depending on temps.....your mileage may vary.
  7. I always stay on Canisbay with my RV - Its quiet and has a nice beach. Lots of hiking to be done, or can rent some canoes @ opeongo lake. Going for a 7am drive almost guaruntees multiple moose viewings. Good Luck
  8. That sucks - Sounds like another way to save money to me.
  9. Careful Guys, my Avast went crazy when I hit that site. Says its malware..
  10. I love watching the ice line "receed" each spring - Helps me get to the opener..
  11. Was fishing and let my son borrow my rod with my Stradic Ci4. Long story short: It took a real good dunking, sand everywhere. Should I take it in? If so, anywhere near niagara?
  12. Wow, i'd also love to know how you managed those pics. Really cool.
  13. Hey Solo! Good to hear you had a dream trip, and thanks for the detailed report and awesome pics. That place is on my list for sure!!
  14. Hey, just doing an audit of the hydro bill....and much like everyone else, think im paying too much for electricity. I know there are some alternatives to your local utility, but have heard some horror stories. Wondering if anyone who knows more then me can shine some light on how these things work...or maybe i'll just turn off the air conditioner altogether.
  15. Dont even get me started on Bell customer service....I have many, many stories...ohhh my blood pressure is rising..
  16. Hi, yes it does have the solid floor. Its a 5 piece heavy floor, and there are support beams that go on the side that when inflated, keep the boards in place. the support beams hang over the tailgate about 5 inches or so.
  17. Hi, Im heading up to algonquin park in a few weeks and want to set up my zodiac at camp and keep in the back of my truck to trailer to numerous lakes 10 - 15 km away. See the picture..it hangs out about 3.5 - 4 feet. Will this work or will I do some damage?
  18. Nice Fish! I think the one was attacked by a vampire though...
  19. Heres a good read on a midsize truck shootout. Includes the taco and ridgeline.
  20. Great story solo! A good read for sure.
  21. Hey CCMT. Problem is I go over without netflix. Im fine with paying more because of this, but thats rediculous. Im gonna call Teksavvy. Tonyb do you have experience with them?
  22. $156.00. How is that not criminal? I surely do consume alot of bandwidth as I work from home and send large files to servers...But I started watching netflix and WOW. Needless to say i'm done with bell and any of the big boys who charge rediculous amounts of money. Are there any decent "true" unlimited services out there? I will pay up to $70 a month but no more.
  23. Maybe not exactly what your looking for but can tell you what I use in case you go looking that way. I have a 2010 Toyota Tacoma double cab and regularly tow a 19 foot travel trailer (about 4500 lbs loaded) with no issues. It also fits me the wife and 2 kids. I get 24 - 25MPG on the highway, but only get 10 - 12MPG when towing the big beast.
