  1. I have 3 computers I have upgraded to Windows 10 without issues. However if its an older computer (you stated you have XP) I would avoid the upgrade. XP runs much quicker.
  2. Greetings! After showing the boss some pics of my trip to Wawa last year, she's OK'd a family RV trip to LSPP. Being that its 12 hours away, we are going to stop at Killarney for a day or 2 to break up the drive. Can someone recommend any decent RV sites, fishing spots(to take the little ones aged 10 and 6), bike trails, etc. I'll be in a 24 ft RV and have my two boys and wife with me. I've never been to either place. Write back here or PM, suggestions much appreciated...
  3. Those are some fat little brookies! Nice trip report and way to go braving the cold!
  4. Looks like the guy behind you is onto one as well...Nice Chrome..
  5. .....dont shoot the messenger. Glad I pushed my trip back. Wow. http://www.algonquinpark.on.ca/news/2014/spring_2014_update.php
  6. Aww a great one gone. "You've been here four hours"...The buffet one. I loved it!!! Here it is...a classic but the best!!! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vAkXPpBnSkM https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vAkXPpBnSkM
  7. If you have XBMC -- Also look at MASHUP. I've had it over a year and love it....oh and its free:-)
  8. I can only tell you the experience I have had with ATV's, I've owned both Polaris and Yamaha. One of my 2 polaris' (magnum 325) did have a break down, an oil line ruptured and was fixed under warranty. 2 months later it was stolen . I took the insurance money and bought a magnum 500. WOW! Great ride and lots of power. I took that machine all over and beat it like it owed me money and it still kept going. After a few years with no issues, I sold it as I wanted a side x side to get me to the backwoods fishing holes. I got a Yamaha Rhino 450. Double Wow! Amazing machine. If the Kodiak has the same engine I would give it a thumbs up. That engine never quit. I had it 4 years and no problems.
  9. X2 in my old house the eave broke at the downspout and poured right down the wall into my basement. I fixed that and never had another problem.
  10. That meat looks incredible. Orange smoked Specks. Awesome!!
  11. I've stayed at 2 rivers a few times, and have had my zodiac in the water with a 9.9. Nice lake and a good size. Certainly not my favorite Algonquin corridor campground, but not bad. Sites I were at were pretty open for me, maybe there are better ones. Fishing for trout is tough but we managed to get some last year. If I remember correctly you'll need to go to the opposite end of the lake to launch. Oh, and if its hot make sure and stop at the algonquin store which is right there and have some Kawartha Dairy ice cream. I think I might be addicted to the Black raspberry thunder
  12. Doubt he made it through the night. Just my 2 cents.
  13. Someone sent me this link today. WOW! I knew bears were tough but that's unreal. Something tells me the next few hours were not so fun for the bear though. I think i'll be extra careful walking to those hidden speckle holes...
  14. Awesome Report! Was lakeport on sale that week
  15. Walleyebob: Yeah, that's the stuff. It does seem sturdy, but I was worried about hail. Are the holes easily repairable with silicone or something else?
  16. Hey Fisher. For sure it will not be a fabric one. Have had nothing but issues with those. I like the tin one, bur they also have the "permanent" ones that have green house material on the roof. Its some kind of plastic. Wondering if that will last? How do they handle wind?
  17. Well, the wife has laid down the law. She wants a gazebo this summer. The last cheap one we had blew away in a windstorm. I see some of these newer ones that are made out of a rigid material, some are tin, some are a plastic like greenhouse material. They ain't cheap! Do these things last? I'm guessing the tin one will last for years and may need to be top-coated with paint. I like the greenhouse one too, it was cheaper and larger. Anyone have any experience? How do you keep these things down in a rainstorm? What do you do with them in the winter? I'd hate to take it down.
  18. Awesome! Now, we just need some softwater!
  19. Is anyone familiar with this unit? http://www.canadiantire.ca/en/pdp/humminbird-587ci-hd-combo-1781342p.html#.Uwj9mfldWUo I've been looking for one, and was at my local Canadian Tire and they had these on clearance as they were last years model. They were out of them but had the display model on for less. Well I found they had cracked the mount when they screwed it to the desk so after a chat with the manager I got it for less then half price ! I scooped one....but know very little about fish finders. Maybe someone can help explain what all these gizmos do, and if its a good fishfinder.
  20. Very Cool. But I notice yer not recording the moon phase lol.
  21. @BillM. Keep an eye on Kijiji. I picked up a late 90's Yamaha 2 hp 2 stroke. Starts first pull and paid 125 for it. It belonged to the sellers father-in-law who had passed on and he just wanted to get rid of it.
