  1. Hi Vance - No, there is no humidifier on the furnace at all.
  2. Thanks to all who responded. Here is my response to some of your questions. 1. We have had this problem(condensation and mould) since we moved in. Of course we moved in the spring and did not notice the issue until winter. 2. I do have an aquarium now, but never had one the first two years we had this issue. 3. I am home during the day (I work from home) so I do make a point of cracking a window and running the fans. 4. The only thing different about my home then many others is I have a walk out in the back - so there is a large area of poured concrete (side split I beleive) 5. I ran two dehumidiers at one point. They did slightly lower the humidity in the area around them I have been in contact with several people about an HRV. Big $$$ for one. I would have no issue with buying an HRV - except that both my sister, parents and, brother in law an in-laws have new homes - I am the only one with this issue. My sister lives right behind me (house built by the same builder) And has two teenage children who like to take long showers...yet her humidity is at 45%, rarely it does go up to 50%. Leads me to beleive somethign else is at play here.
  3. Hi, wondering if anyone has the same problem I have been having. I have a house about 5 years old that is full of humidity. The home is regularly between 55 - 60%. I have done quite a bit of research. As a result of the research, we have been careful to use the fans when showering/cooking, etc. We only have 3 small plants in the house. We have been concious of this all winter, but the humidity stays the same 55-60%. The problems that arise from this are that water is constantly on the windows creating mould, and dripping onto the sills starting to rot them out. When its really bad the water actually drips onto the floor. I called the homebuilder, and they have come to inspect several times, but cant see any problem anywhere. They attribute it to the newer houses being too sealed to specs. I also called the window manufacturer - again, apparantly no issues. The homebuilder keeps suggesting we remove all the plants, leave all the blinds FULLY up on the windows, leave the shower fans on for several hours, and also run the furnace fan a few hours each day to circulate the air. None of this has helped. Leaving the drapes open 24/7 does help the accumulation of water on the windows, but this is not a viable option. We leave them open from about 7am - 6pm and it helps, though it does not eliminate the condensation. Another problem with this level of humidity is the house feels cold and clammy - even though my thermometer is set at 22. Just wondering if anyone else has dealt with this and if they managed to fix it.. thanks!
  4. Doubt i'll be able to get out ice fishing, but I am definatly going to get me a large bow to see how it does.
  5. Cant Wait for spring :-)
  6. Hey Terry, can you fill me in? If you dont want to post here, please PM me.
  7. Hey Dr. We are looking for just specks, and we were planning to take my trailer in there and camp...if they would allow. Did not know you need to "hire" a guide - sounds rediculous.
  8. Hi, Wanted to plan a trip here for some specks - have heard mixed things about it. Any experiences here?
  9. Thanks! I like the price of these. Do they have a felt bottom? Also are they reasonably light for a wading boot?
  10. Yep, I was hoping to get another season out of them but it looks like they've had it :-) Any recomendations for a decent/inexpensive pair? Thes did not last that long.
  11. i'm in my late 30's as well and pay 360 a year for my side by side rhino.
  12. hmmm, seems to be a lot of shimano fans here and well, everywhere. I went to the tackle shop just to compare the 2. Unfortunatly, they just sold the last Ci4 1000 series yeserday :-( I looked at the 2500. Pretty darn nice. Compared it to the patriarch. Definatly like the feel of the patriarch better - likely due to the handle. Not a deal breaker though, im sure i'll get used to it. The guy behind the desk said, "cant go wrong with either, but Ci4 wins hands down". When I asked why he responded "i've just been a shimano guy forever". Was hoping for a little more....I guess this is one of those chevy vs ford things..
  13. Actually that is one of my requirements - I would like it to last as long as possible. My local tackle shop has the patriarch for $189 and the stradic for $209 - I dont mind paying the extra if it will last longer or give any other advantage
  14. Hi, I am replacing some of my reels which are several years old. I just bought a pflueger supreme which I am happy with, but am considering upgrading to one of these - it will be an ultralight setup for trout mostly. May be called upon from time to time to do battle with a large bow :-) So I am wondering what the opinions are on these reels?
  15. I went up there with a commercial hut operator about 5 years ago. Got a bunch of Tiny Walleye and a few small Pike. Over all, it was not worth our time, but maybe things have changed. If I remember, we used live minnows.
  16. Do tell..I am considering a trion for a backup reel, but not sure what they are like.
  17. Thanks All, I picked 1 up. If ll is well I will scoop another eventually. What are the "president" and trion reels like compared to the supreme.
  18. Does Any one have this reel? Any thoughts, comments?
  19. I have caught then in as little as 4 feet of water. I would start there and move out. Splake are pretty funny, doesnt seem to be anything set in stone to catch them.
  20. X2 what was said above. I started with a cheap $250 I found at CT, it was horrible for alot of reasons. I returned it the next day, and found one on sale at BassPro for $400. Mine is also a water skeeter and have had it for a few years. Mine is not meant for fast current either. Mine also supports a motor mount so I can put a small kicker or trolling motor on it.
  21. Hi, Im heading up to algonquin this weekend, gonna chase a few brookies. Might hit a few rivers tribs or a lake. Any suggestions on what bait to use? Where would they be found this time of year?
  22. Finally. I had a freind that used to fish there and showed some great pics! Went a few times myself but with limited success.
  23. Congrats! I just upgraded our tent trailer to a 19' hybrid. I never thought I'd need all the extra's but I love it. Enjoy...
  24. Thanks, CTD.. How deep would you expect them to be at? Are minnows the preffered bait?
  25. Does anyone else have any suggestions? Just wondering if they generally bite this time of year or if its a waste of time..
