Santa Claus:An Engineers Perspective NF
cheaptackle replied to danbouck's topic in General Discussion
There's really only one logical and undeniable explanation - nobody can deny the facts - impossibilities exist but are overcome in some unfathonable fashion. I say loud and proud that the answer is: Pretty Obvious! Santa is really Chuck Norris celebrating the holidays, been doing it for centuries and centuries, only recently allowed his true persona to be known (by starring in many kick butt movies) while maintaining his annual appearances as his private secret! Dat's de wun! Like I said, I had no problems as long as I kept them cool. Never even used an aerator but I can't see where that would hurt. I did use ice cubes as well - added one or two a day - as they melt they release O2 - but that was only when I didn't get out for more than 2 days or so to change the water. Michael

I just put them in a minnow bucket (flo troll style) in the fridge. Kept them for a week or more this way. Changed the water before coming home from fishing. At the time I was getting very healthy "scoops" meaning at least 4 or more dozen so a scoop went a long way. Michael

It will be interesting to hear how the fire started in a brand new rv in the showroom. Just thinking of the number of possibilities from wiring to fuel management is mind boggling! What an incredible loss for the business and employees. Michael

Looking at the pictures in the Examiner it'd be a fair guess it's going to be a near total loss except for any units that may have been parked far enough away from the buildings. Says Barrie crews and others were on scene. Story was only posted at 4:38. Michael

Bigger Story & more pictures on the Barrie Examiner Site. Glad all got out - What a Mess! Looks like you posted in the status at the exact same time I posted here!

That is intense! Got no better way to describe it. Wonderful how that worked out for you! Michael -
Take a look at the luremaking.com site Chris - I've got both styles of their benders. The more expensive one does a great job. If it's in your budget you won't be sorry at all. The smaller one is just ok for lighter wire & occasional use, I actually don't use it at all now I have the bigger one. I think you need to use 2 pairs of pliers if you're going to attempt doing it without the benders - a whole lot of patience too! Michael

There's a new ad on Kijiji saying they have roe from Ministry approved source. Wonder how that's gonna turn out - could go either way! Michael -

The one for 3.00/dozen or 5.00/dozen? Good job! Michael -
Don't sell yourself short there Skip! That's a prize catch and you spent the day doing the exact right thing - getting to know your tackle, applications and spots! Champion I'd say! Michael

I've been approached twice now to represent (sell for) individuals with a "large quantity of fresh roe" for sale. They bounced twice on the (assisted) rapid exit forced upon them! (I really do have my temper under control, MOST of the time! But not for stuff like that!) Next time I'll try to get details and report them, but I lost it immediately both times and ran them out right away. Of additional interest is that there is a posting in the Kijiji(2-3 years back?)forums about a guy getting popped for selling a mount. He made the sale, 2 minutes later another knock on the door and BUSTED! He had inherited it somehow as I recall, and just went ahead to sell it along with other inherited items. Lately I've seen a number of Kijiji posts for roe, skin mounts, racks etc. I was wondering if MNR was monitoring any of this and it's good to see they are! Sure, some folks might be innocently cleaning out old stuff handed down, but, as they say, ignorance is no excuse. Hopefully the word will get out and more will be educated (or busted!). Michael
