  1. Hopefully they will update the e-commerce side of their business and offer the same products to Canadian customers as is available in the US and list them in Canadian currency of the webpage.
  2. Nice one! My schedule is also all over the place with my new job, get it while you can!
  3. Jeeeze, my dad used to make that all the time, have not had oxtail since I was a kid, he stop making it also because of 'mad cow disease', very risky consuming parts of spinal cord with that disease.
  4. Its an old Savage .410, has no clip and they are hard to find, so its a one shot deal....lol....does the trick and got it for $0, can't argue with that. I am waiting for your pictures Rob....come on buddy! Thanks man! I'll be waiting...Ill make my dad's Jamaican peas and rice to go with that.
  5. Thanks Fisherman, more on the way! Come on up, let me know when and we'll destroy some fish if you like. Thanks again DJ, look forward to your fish curry, love me a nice curry. LOL...funny enough Walmart and Canadian Tire are full of it, and some of the stuff they sell would never work here, but I guess they just stock what they are told too most of the time. I do use it occasionally, but I have done the test a hundred times, even when the bite is well and truly on, live bait out fishes the plastic at least 4:1. I use it for crappie now though as it works just as good in some situations and for walleye if I need to conserve bait. I use spinners for bass a lot and micro tubes for whitefish on the ice.....otherwise a nice 4-6" sucker minnow is my go to. If any of you make it up this way, best bait in town is K&A tackle on Government Street, have to give them a shout out because they treat their customers well. I will hopefully be posting more "PISS OFF" videos soon Brian, lol. LOL...never my intention to rub it in, but the road to white bass hell is paved with good intentions....lololol. Was an absolute blast for sure, both boys are local, they grew up fishing, but due to circumstances they rarely get out in a boat, I treated them for sure and they bug me every day to take them out again. Seeing the smiles is always a treat for me too....WIN/WIN. whats a sunfish? (jk) Dude, you have better fishing right on your doorstep, get out there!!!! Like you said, best therapy for every ailment known to man, perhaps with the exception of rabies, gonorrhoea and the plague. Yeah, smallies were like that in the last video I posted, ridiculously boring! I love my slip bobber, its a hang over from sea fishing mackerel back in England. I do find though that in some circumstances it is very effective over other techniques because of fish behaviour or structure you are fishing. In this video I'm just using it for the hell of it, but sometimes it works good because you can set it at the exact depth you want the bait, give a slower presentation or just let the minnow go nuts under there in a specificc area, its good for dropping into pockets in thick weed and not getting hung up, crappie are suckers for a slip bobber etc...etc. Weather wise they are effective to drift your bait over structure in the wind, the wind also gives you jigging motion at the bait end....lots of uses but mainly because I love watching a bobber disappear beneath the surface.
  6. This is my local minnow shop dealer.
  7. You have a pimp for your minnows?
  8. They are fantastic. great for in my minnow tank too to separate species/sizes of minnows, I have three of them. They also came in handy in the tropics, good to keep fresh caught live bait in, or even transport while wading. The fact they fold down to nothing is great too. It was drizzling on and off, the drone is not weather proof so decided to leave it at home.
  9. Hi all, headed up to Lac Seul on Friday to shoot some birds and catch some fish. The grouse were playing shy but I got lucky on the way out when I spotted 3 right at the landing, did not see another single grouse apart from those. I wanted to target bass and they did not disappoint. I also target some walleye which were less enthusiastic than the bass but abundant none the less. The Bass were shallow, the walleye deep and the grouse DELICIOUS!
  10. Great stuff Rick, love the pic of the rod in the mist....y'all can keep the sky raisins though.
  11. Wow, threw your phone in the live well cuz it wouldn't take a picture...temper...temper....lol
  12. Thanks Rick, actually just got in from cleaning the boat out for a trip tomorrow, found a pack in there with 3 in it, boy oh boy.....tempted, but I scrunched therm up and threw them out, not before soaking them with the hose just in case I changed my mind and tried to salvage them....lol.
  13. Love it! After work fishing is the best. used to love heading out after a night shift with the pup from shore or in the boat. Headed out tomorrow for some bass and walleye, hoping we can get as many bass as you. Thanks for sharing.
  14. LOL...the last time I quit i put on 30lbs in a matter of months, only problem is it did not go away when I started smoking again, so I can't afford to put another 30lbs on this time around....lol.
  15. Good on you! I agree that a large part of the addiction is mental, however, I am loathe to ignore the physical part as that can be the trigger. I know there is a physical dependancy because of something that happened last time I quit. We went out in the boat with some friends for a day in the sun , fishing and a shore lunch on an island. Picture perfect day doing stuff we all enjoy with good friends. I was about 3 weeks into quitting at that point. Going across the lake I felt extremely edgy and agitated, this stayed with me all day, but I was just mindful of it and did not let it manifest itself and bring people down. When I got home i went to get in the shower and realized that I had forgotten to put my patch on that morning.....lol. So the idea that patches are just a placebo effect is not right in my opinion, because if they were I totally believed I had the patch on all day and therefore would not have been agitated at all.
  16. Hi all, 1st 24 hours in the bag! I keep stopping what i'm doing every half hour or so and find myself heading to the door for a smoke...makes me giggle at myself. gave up for 5 years from 2011 and have been smoking for just over a year now. I smoked twice as much the second time round, guess in the back of my mind I knew i had to quit again soon so was hitting it hard before that inevitability.....lol. Gonna be a bumpy week, but feeling good about myself already, hate hugging the kid or wife after I have had a smoke, they do too! No standing outside in -30c either this winter with the mass cigarette butt clean up in the spring, just dog poop to clean up again...lol. I have gone the nicorette patches way again, worked for me last time. A lot of this is mental but there is the physical dependancy also, so I'll take all the help I can get, no point trying to tough it out...be kind to yourself is my motto. As for the cravings...well they are simply a feeling...feelings pass, as as time goes by the feeling of cravings get fewer and further between. The last time I quit I thought the hardest part would be not smoking while fishing, in fact that is the easiest part, and a good place to be because if you don't take smokes with you there is nowhere to get any for 100 miles....lol...and once i'm fishing i tend not to think about smoking to much. Even having smokers in the boat did not bother me last time, maybe won't invite them for the first week or so though, getting cocky is a warning sign of relapse. wish me luck!
  17. LOL....not the exact same scenario but my wife and I say happy anniversary to each other a week or 2 before the actual date as we have BOTH forgotten it before.
  18. Interesting stuff. Some European countries already have dates for a total ban on petrol and diesel vehicles, most notably Norway who's ambitious plan is to ban all new sales of petrol and diesel vehicles by 2025, ambitious but feasible. UK, Netherlands, Germany, France all have bans set from 2030-2050. It would appear that there is now a political will to change things, and so it is more likely to happen in my opinion. I have a truck that is in its twighliight years, and am thinking about getting an electric 4x4 for my next one as the writing is on the wall i feel.
  19. Good grief, don't you ever do anything fun Bunk?
  20. Thanks guys ! Thanks Rick, not wanting to rub it in but 'those days' are more often than not the norm for Lac Seul when I go. We went back 2 days ago and history repeated itself. funny enough the spot that we were on in the video was completely devoid of fish except for pike and bass. We searched all afternoon and eventually one of my spots kicked off BIG TIME, we were just about ready to call it a day but could not bring ourselves to leave after working hard to find fish, THE BITE WAS INSANE...we ripped through 8 dozen suckers in an hour and a half. I could not get leeches for the recent bass tournament I did with my son a couple weeks back, so decided to try large suckers. They were all the bass would eat, we ended up running out 2 hours before the end, we needed to upgrade two small fish but the bigger ones wanted the suckers, we missed out on winning a boat by a pound or so ....DOH! I guess it all depends on the lake and what the forage is, emerald shiners are thick in Erie, no wonder the bass key in on them. I hope that buddy you are referring to is me...lol...I brought 10 doz down when i visited with you and Harvey that day....lol...I left with none! Our bait shop here has a tank full of 12" suckers for the musky boys who come up in the fall, they either freelance them of under a large bobber i'm told. Love watching the suckers in the creeks, so do the kids! I'm a lucky sod for sure. Its a great little boat, goes 30mph with 2 people with the 50hp Yammy, rod storage, big live well (sucks a bit that its at the front) side and front storage as well as 3 floor compartments. Good fishing 2, a little crowded with 3 but very doable still.
  21. Hi all, Been out to my favourite walleye hunting grounds a few times this summer. Took a buddy from way back with me a couple times too. Nothing fancy, just jigs and large sucker minnows vertically jigged wherever the fish were marked on the screen, typically between14' and 26' FOW. The bite has been decent all summer but is really heating up now.
  22. Float bowl on the carb?
  23. No lawsuit as far as I know, but I think their stock value crashed around that time. They are a very arrogant company in my view, and whoever is in charge of development and design is a moron, for example, the new phone app that replaced the old one requires a sign in, in other words to use your phone as the view finder you need wifi or cell service...yeah right, I have that in the middle of Lac Seul!
  24. You have done them all. This was/is a common issue with the Hero 4s. I had a Hero 4 Black edition that did exactly the same thing, I bought the 5 year best buy insurance for like $60, they replaced it with a Hero 5 Black with a $100 gift card thrown in. I won't deal with GoPro customer service, found them to be unhelpful and obstructive, my camera was still within the warranty period for Gopro but decided to cash in my other Warranty and save a bunch of grief and time. I remember when I was researching the same issue you are now having that many folks who were outside of Warranty with GoPro were only being offered the chance to return the camera and receive 20% off a new purchase....crappy deal if you ask me.
