Hi all, Went out for crappie and did pretty good. All very shallow on slip bobber with small minnow or twister tail. Also had the chance to meet up with a fellow Youtube who watches my videos, that was kind of cool, they are at a camp for a week on my home lake, Wabigoon. Turns out there is another Youtube at the camp who I was planning to meet to....small world...lol.

BOWCHICKAWOWOW! awesome, thanks for sharing! -
Hi all, This is my favourite time of year to fish in front of the house, in fact it is really the only time of the year I do. In the spring the fishing usually goes nuts right off our shore, and there are NO BUGS!!!!

No, you just need an ethernet cable. I am thinking of upgrading the one of got to this years models as the Ultra i have would then link via bluetooth, one less wire in my little boat.

Love yer vids man! I would love to do that one day!

Thanks Brian. The net is a Frabill Redleaf, I got it from CT on sale for $59. Looks like they discontinued it though. Its rubberized mesh, and like you say, telescopic. The handle can also be pushed up across the mouth of the net to make it even smaller, I hate having a huge net flapping around in the boat and this one is big enough for 44" pike and small enough not to be a pain! Thanks, its the new Ulterra with iPilot Link, cost more than my boat.....lol. Yup, for the most part just an eighth ounce jig with a minnow or twister tail. Thanks Rick, the drone is totally sick dude!....lol....i'm a wannabe surfer.

Thanks! I still have to catch a crappie in the boat so far this year. LOL...as for the boat.....BOOO! The drone has numerous auto tracking modes. More on the way....and THANKS!

Hi all, Well....I think my expectations and excitement of walleye opener were too high, caught fish, but its been a cold spring and the fish were all over the place, some big ones deep already, but they had lockjaw, only fish feeding seemed to be in 5' to 3' FOW in the wind....LOTS OF PIKE! There was still ice on some north facing shores and average water temps were sub 50F. Still awesome to get out and fish this lake, its where I feel most at peace.

DJI says 27 minutes at 15mph or something like that. I find I get maybe 15 minutes as I don't like flying it once it gets to 30% battery power just because the Return to Home feature on the drone gets triggered when the battery is low. Because I'm mostly in the bush or over water the idea of the drone trying to land itself (especially when Im in the boat and have moved) freaks me out a bit. You can pause return to home and take over manual control, and set the height for return to home plus the drone has front and down Obstacle avoidance, but for now I'm playing it safe and learning the basics before I get carried away...lol. I don't think there are any predators in that pond, the reason why it produces good minnows.

been doing a bit of research, you guys are spot on, Honda or Yammie inverter it has to be. Hmmmmmm, Ive always been a Yamaha fan.... -
...LOL...takes a little bit longer than 1/2 hour to catch 'em! Hmmmmmm....I like the show but he kinda bugs me, how dare he catch all those wicked fish and get paid to do it! Ya never know Thanks T.J. No, its real time, with the 3 axis gimbal on the drones camera it gives it that liquid smooth feel. Well, its not mine exactly....lol. Sure was, what a difference a day makes, today was bloody miserable, and the black flies have hatched!

Thanks guys, great info! -
Hi all, Just throwing this out there. We plan on doing some camping this year on islands in our area. Because we are going for more than a day I'm thinking I will need to charge the boat batteries at some point, I have 2 group 27 12V running the trolling motor. I was thinking about getting a generator to do the job but have no clue whatsoever about them. I would like to know what other people use and why. I do know they are noisy so a quiet one if possible. Cant think of any other use we will have for it yet...lol...but getting a small generator must be lighter and less expensive in the long run than carrying spare batteries with me. your thoughts/recommendations? thanks in advance.

There is a fine line between guts and stupidity....lol. I have some pontoons installed so at least I can retrieve it and I am insured for 2 crashes, water damage etc....with $100 dollar deductible. MY MAVIC.

I'm waiting for you to guide me

I have only ever seen a moose from the boat once....but yeah, that would be super cool!

That is going to be a challenge with the drone given the new regulations. There were loons, swans, beaver and deer all out there yesterday but 75 meters away from animals, people, vehicles, boats, buildings etc.... (yes, the actual rules state "etc" as something you have to avoid) is going make it difficult, there is no zoom on the drone lens and 75 meters away is pretty far away.

They say, find the bait, you find the fish,,,,,,,,,,,,

That watercraft is soooooo cool Brian. Thanks for sharing. -
Hi all, Learning to fly my new Mavic Pro drone, steep learning curve but I am so thrilled with the initial results. Finally I feel like I can capture on film what I can only describe as my passion, and hopefully share what makes me feel ALIVE!

If it is by the Polo Park mall it is Wholesale Sports on St. James, they also have staff that actually know what they are talking about, lol...hate when you ask someone in the fishing section of a store a question and you get that blank look or they actually open their mouths and confirm they know nada! The other good store in Winnipeg is The Fishing' Hole on Regent Avenue West. The other storeI sometimes check out is Pro-Am Tackle on Nairn Avenue, They have knowledgeable staff, but the last time I was there I did not buy anything, their prices were through the ROOOF!
