LOL....dont quite know how to respond Brian. -
Thanks Sinker. I think I want to go the 3 bank route, just peace of mind knowing all three are fully charged at the start of the day. How do I connect the charger to the two 12v in series? Do I just connect the charger cables + to + and -to - like normal?

Hi all, I have a new 24V trolling motor. I plan to hook up two 12v batteries in series for the trolling motor and will also have a 12v cranking battery for the outboard and fish finders. My questions are how do I charge this system? Can I use my existing 2 bank on board charger, or do I need 3 bank charger. If I need a three bank charger how to connect? or do I need a different charger altogether and what is it. I want to be able to use just one onboard charger for the all the batteries on board so I just plug it in when I get home.

I'd say as of today ice out has happened on Wabigoon.

I had to come back and look at this post again....great job Dad! -
Yup I do the same thing, wire the fish finder to the cranking battery. On my old boat that did not have a cranking battery I did what Porkie suggests, I used my ice fishing 12V 7Ah SLA battery, but if you go that route with a unit that has GPS take a spare 7Ah with you, GPS eats batteries I find.

AWESOME BUDDY! I went yesterday for splake, first lake we went to the landing was still froze in, so we headed for brookies 20 minutes up the road, same deal. Such a tease as both lakes were completely open apart from the landings....beautiful day though!

Yeah, its the GoPro dog bra mount.....lol. You have to stick a bunch of the mounting arms together to get it high enough to see over the dogs head for good footage. LOL...yup.
-
It gets even more interesting, Just got home 10 minutes ago after picking this guy up. My boy named him Templeton. Check out the cats face in the background...oh dear....here we go!
-
Our cats come when I whistle, each cat has its own whistle too. They also come with us when we walk in the forest....very dog like.

We just added a cat to the family back in the fall, she was killing mice by February....she's a hunter! Love cats...have three of them, Here is our latest addition.....her name is Meep.

Perhaps, but I have this niggling gut feeling......

wow, guess I hate my dog then.

What trolling motor do you have?
-
Lol...yup, he thanked me personally for having his gonads removed! Kinda cool huh, I made some money from my youtube account and use it as my equipment fund, took 4 months to get $400, but that will get me a GoPro Karma grip which is waterproof. Its basically a handheld, waterproof 3 axis gimbal for liquid smooth footage, dog will look like a cyborg with it attached but he's a good sport and the footage should be interesting and cool! Neat eh? shame there are only three dog lovers on this forum...lol. ( I know, sarcasm is the lowest form of humour) I'm getting paranoid now, once upon a time i'd post and get a whole bunch of replies and banter, like pages of it, LOL...I blame Trump....that should get things going.

Love it, ice out can't come soon enough, my kid also gets a thrill being behind the wheel, he stands between my legs and i am glad he is facing the other way because I have an embarrassingly stupid, proud grin all over my face. -
Run my 50hp yummy on a tank...no problems, not had to carry spare gas yet.

LOL...you are living MY DREAM Mike...stop it! Good work again, love all the videos, you get to go to some amazing places.....RESPECT! -
I'm with ^^^^^^^ Way easier with the remote, remember, with the gps autopilot ( if your unit was not auto pilot before) you hardly have to make any adjustments as the motor holds you on a heading, unlike motors without that which if left alone will steer you in a circle, I set my heading and every now and again press left or right, I use the spot lock more often than I do steering, hell you can even set the speed you want with cruise control and it compensates for wind and current on the go....and I can move around the boat at will without worrying about where i'm going, just concentrate on my FISHING...foot pedal?????.......MEH!

We are going to be a couple weeks earlier than normal for most lakes in my area (Dryden), drove past many small highway lakes today, all shore to shore open and the big lakes won't be far behind now. Wabigoon Lake which my house is on is gonna be by the end of the week, probably sooner if we get some wind. Lake Wabigoon this evening.
