  6. Hi all, What a perfect evening for a spot of shore fishing. The lake was like glass which usually results in slow to terrible fishing...but the bite was almost non stop for the one and a half hours i was there....lots of little walleye, a few decent keeper size and 2 or 3 18" +. <iframe width="420" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/HxhUnAkNbS4" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

  14. I'm thinking the house warming will be around 12th December. Yes Craig....i think i'm gonna join our little ice shanty village on the ice road to town this year....Jack has already made some friends with some of the old timers there. LOL...they grow quick though....he is getting one of these next Xmas....another neighbour in the bay has put it aside for us at a great price (her son is too big for it now) Cant wait for the season....fired up the snow machine today...3 pulls and she fired right up lol... :worthy: What the hell...yoiu trying to JINX it or what...grrrrrrr. Yup...they are good neighbours who will be sadly missed. They are moving further north for job reasons, and they have stored a whole heap of stuff behind the tree line of our property to get it out of the way as requested by the realtor... the shack was his way of saying thanks for the temporary storage...really nice of them!

  20. In the world of internet....and particularly youtube.....the use of certain words like monster, huge, biggest....etc....is a tactic to get more views or 'hits'. Those words are similarly used in forums to attract attention to posts(my opinion), but from my own point of view i am just as happy reading an interesting and/or informative and funny yet fishless report than one filled with BEHEMOTH BASS(insert air guitar and thrash metal soundtrack here). Although giant fish are fun to catch and look at too
  21. LOLOLOLOLOL...yeah...stooopid homeless guy. how can something like a concurrent disorder of schizophrenia and alcohol abuse, coupled with huge cuts to services be used as an excuse to be a work shy loser!
  22. Hi all, My folks are over from England for 10 days. My dad could care less about fishing but mum insists on going out when she is here. She has only ever fished once before in her life and that was when she visited here 3 years ago....i think we were both surprised and pleased that my love of fishing was after all a genetic phenomenon! Anyhow, i went to that little local lake i have been at all month. I have been catching litterally hundreds of small pike so thought it would be fun to put her on fish non stop with the easy technique of trolling spinners and minnows. The plan worked and we had a blast catching pike after pike with a few perch thrown in. Mum also got a nice walleye which she was very pleased about, and we left with 4 nice fat walleye too! She tells me she is definitely up for a trip to Lac Seul. I warned her that it is a pretty bumpy ride up there....lol....she said..."I have to do it so i can say i did"....love it. 23. Hi all, My parents are visiting from England for 10 days. They dont get to see their grandson jack in person too often, but we are making the most of it. My mum and dad came out in the boat today with Jack. My dad could care less about fishing, but Jack and mum are diehards and stayed focused for over an hour. Nothing like fishing for bonding. LOL...we did not throw dad out..he requested to be put ashore when Jack woke from his nap
  24. Lol...'higher class"???
