  7. Hi all, kinda cool afternoon. Long story short...a month ago i get random message on youtube from a guy who seen my vids ....turns out he is re-locating to dryden from scotland. Last week a message he has arrived....this morning a message about going fishing...an hour later we are in the boat....no jokes about meeting men on the internet allowed! Anyway....Scott turns out to be super nice guy, rarely meet folks into fishing that are not good folk. Scott is an avid flyfisherman and was keen to give it a shot up here for bass and pike. He makes his own rods and christened his new one today with a few pike and bass(the cedar wood handle he crafted on his rod is a sight to be seen...KERWAAAALITEEEEEEY! Anyhoo, we set off from my lawn and headed to some of my bass stomping grounds. Not long before we found some fish....most coming out of 2-8'FOW....and i dont think one was under 18".....real fat bass today. Was cool to see a fly rod in action...and although the little homemade topwater poppers did not get hit...the silvery fly/bucktail things were snapped up aggresively. I had just a plain 1/4 oz jig and minnow. Anyway....Scott...if you read this....was a pleasure to meet ya...had a blast...you are welcome in my boat anytime dude <iframe width="420" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/DhBgvel5KbI" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> SCOTT TIES ALL HIS OWN FLIES TOO! WAS NOT LONG BEFORE THE NEWLY MADE ROD WAS CHRISTENED ALL BIG FISH TODAY
  8. nice catch Fang.....even nicer boat!!!!
  9. Thanks Jacques.....sorry dude....finding it hard not to say 'Leechy'. I really gave myself a hard time for not being able to stick at the trolling till i found them....but i quit beating myself up after the first bass.....lol. My trout was skinny as a supermodel though...a bit like the one you got there the other day too, weird. Cheers Paul, you mention heaven....lol....well i aint quite there yet....hopefully thats where i am heading though...hehehe Thanks Mike, i think i am getting to the point where a go pro would be handy......its really hard to film all this stuff some days.
  10. That was a good film....but i liked Darkstar better. <iframe width="560" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/luaRtGn2tsI" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
  11. I agree with Jacques....sounds great. Fishing, supper, naps. AWESOME REORT...reminds me of a song ...."these are a few of my favourite things.........."
  12. for crying out loud....would they just stop and let me catch up for a moment! I was looking into all this HD, DSI, Structure scan business....considering my options. Decided not to be limited to Lowrance....and to be quite honest a little dissappointed the way Lowrance seem to be going on a lot of their stuff, went to check out hummingbirds...to be greeted by something called 360 degree veiwing.....THATS IT....I AINT BUYING ANYTHING TILL NEXT YEAR WHEN I WILL BE ABLE TO GET A VIRTUAL HOLOGRAM READING ANYWHERE IN THE BOAT OR THE INSIDE LENS OF MY POLARIZED SHADES
  13. Great (if not a little chilly)opener mon ami! Whats with the skinny fish? anyhoo....enjoy supper.

  16. Emaciated more like....dunno what was up with that, never the less produced two lovely fillets, one for wife one for dad......Limey Jnr...not that keen on trout.
  17. Certainly made my day. Great fun is smallies! I am counting on you to put a couple inches on our bass totals dude...i seen the bass you catch! I dont want to give anyone free advertising...but credit where dredit is due...its an awesome tool....dont let anyone tell you its a 'gimmick' or 'toy'.
  18. Nope....line twited around it on the way in. Yeah.....was a tough morning till i decided to break for Bass. I think the way the shoal was located/wind direction made a perfect ambush point. Yeah...i am lucky to have a year round bass season JB...not complaining one bit.
  19. i am pretty sure I have some....dont really need em...PM me yourr address and they are yours.

  21. was in a good mood already this morning....that helped prolong my good mood.....thnx!
  22. Hi all, Me again...lol. Went out for some lakers today. With the water temps hovering just above 40 degrees F i spent the first hour and a half trolling the shallows with a variety of rigs/jigs/spoons and hardbaits.....with only a pike to show for it. I then spent another hour checking out deeper water with no reward. I decided to get some relief and targeted bass on a spot i know....they were there in numbers! Jig and minnow did the damage. They were in 14'FOW behind a windswept shaol. Man....the wind was relentless today......all i can say is that the I-pilot did its job flawlessly again....i really cant sing it's praises enough....i have not even used the track record feature....spot lock is like having a guide in the boat every trip....held me on the spot within feet of where i wanted for a whole hour in 25kmh head on winds!!! Battery was still at 80% when i got home. Best of all was i hooked into a trout casting a jig and minnow for bass in 12'FOW...supper accomplished too! Great little session, bleedin' freezin'....did not get much above 4 Degrees C. <iframe width="560" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/AXj153pKM7g" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
  23. Great report! Gotta hand it to ya...i cant buy a crappie until the water hits spawning temps.
