  1. musky, lakers, bass, crappie and crappie are most of the ottawa area reports i see... i'd stick to TO, much more fishing opportunities within an hour or so drive in my opinion...
  2. what is it you want to know about the motor?
  3. Royal Mattress hands down...
  4. Bummer TJ... I'm liking the bear trap and pepperspray idea... are you able to get those paint/ink bombs like they have in the movies... you lift up an object and a bomb of paint explodes
  5. holy cow, i thought your eyeball popped out... I'm with TJ on this... Good Luck
  6. Do not crimp with those...
  7. Scotty Electrics, hands down.. I've got walker electrics - nothing wrong with them, just the scotty has more features out of the box... ball hook, autostop, tilt up, extendable boom...
  8. Rob Hyatt & Common Carp
  9. 67 & 32
  10. careful, you'll have to bleed all the air out afterwards if changing the fluid...
  11. tough crowd
  12. Awesome Pic
  13. i've used the big 4, scottys, cannons, big jons and walkers... by far, scotty is my favorite... Ease of use, Autostop, extendable boom, tip up, parts readily available at canadian tire... are the reasons why bulky yes, but very user friendly i've got 2 walker electrics (1 with temp sense) and 1 manual walker... i'd trade them for the scottys anyday...
  14. thier gear ratio is too small... takes forever to reel in... otherwise good quality for a cheap $$ leadcore setup
  15. Electric all the way... Go with Scotty Pro Packs, you won't be dissappointed
  16. acme battery / great northern battery in hamilton on parkdale
  17. All-Terrain tires have a softer tread compound.. they are more prone to wearing... also tire rotation and air pressure is much more crucial for an A/T tire then an all season... i had yokahama Geolander AT+2 on the envoy... they "cleaned" mud out great but only got 2 years out of them... also most people rate their tires after 5,000 or 10,000km... all tires are great then... 3-5 years down the road is a different story though...
  18. Michelin LTX M+S will last you a long long time...
  19. i haven't been to burwell in a year... but unless they dreged the canal, i seriously doubt it's 8ft deep out to the lake...
  20. for an accurate scale you need to pay some good $$ from my research (online, which doesn't mean much...) the spring scales are more accurate... also buy a scale with the range the fish is in... example if you're bass fishing... don't go and buy a 0-50 scale... get a 0-20... again, these are things that i've read and that is what i've come up with... i ended up with a 0-60 rapala lock n weigh... tackle tour did a review of the 0-20 http://www.tackletour.com/reviewrapalagrip20.html solid product!!
  21. there is a free little boat launch just east of the welland canal... take lakshore rd E to Arthur st to beachhaven dr to bogart st, turns into Lombardy ave thru the woods you can see it on google earth... it's not great but would be perfect for your requirements
  22. if you're gonna paint, it do it right... prep it right, and use the proper paints... also spray it on... failure to do so will result in a terrible job/paint flaking/chipping off... first check to see if it leaks... if it does, let me know and i can put you intouch with the guy that re-riveted my Legend... great job, great price personally i wouldn't paint it if i were you... you'll be wasting $$ for nothing...
  23. i bought maui jims... haven't used them much cause to chicken to drop/scratch/lose them... glue started coming undone in the case... send an email in, and 2 weeks later i got a new case... great customer service also very surprising how many "expensive" glasses are not Polarized.... $200+ and all you're getting is a plastic lens, screw that... then i'll shop at the gypsy karts at the mall... 2 for $20
  24. curious, why would you wait to the start of the season to see whats wrong with it? if you had problems on your last trip out last year, should have addressed it then... No?
  25. aluminum reacts with the chemical used to pressure treat wood...
