  1. Only 4-5 hours on full charge with my HDS5 IF I have the GPS on and back light. With satalite tracking off I get 8-9 hours.
  2. Yep. My buddy caught 40 walleye and 100 perch over 3 days and only kept 2 eater walleye (under the slot) and 3 or 4 perch. He had a blast.
  3. Far shore in the direction the wind was blowing. Happened to me before. You'll be lucky if it stayed upright and slid on the skis. If it hit a rough spot and tipped over there could be some damage.
  4. I believe one of the coldest places in Ontario was Timmins this morning with -41 degrees celcius.
  5. I don't remember using minnows once after opening weekend last year. Worms all spring, summer, fall. And Rob........sometimes we troll our worm harnesses.
  6. I have used a Tranx this fall and LOVED it. It only comes in right hand from what I understand. It is a beautiful reel and is $600 (after taxes) so I think if you got it used for $400 - $425 it would be a great deal.
  7. How about a jar full of water. Then add a drop of food colouring to it, then another drop, then another drop. The change in colour will represent the way a species can take over a lake like rock bass killing off walleye and perch populations up North.
  8. double digit walleye 40+" musky double digit laker Another huge Northern (have one 43")
  9. That's not NORTH. Nice area. My buddy has a cottage there.
  10. How far North from you?
  11. Joey we were 9 - 10" in all our holes. Alot less water on the lake today.
  12. lmao Jim. You would be so mean to use a live minnow or leach and let a fish bite it. Oh, the horror.
  13. Wasn't gonna go to the hut today but with the rain I better go check on it.
  14. Saturday night chat?

  15. First off let me say that there was alot of ice still today. 9-11" where we were fishing. That does not mean the ice is/was safe everywhere. The first 200 yards out from the launch was covered with 4-6" of standing water which was rippling with the wind. Beyond that the walk was slushy, slippery, and really wet. Our holes from yesterday were still open and were now more then 10`in diameter. They were done with an 8" auger. Holes under my hut were close to 20" in diamater. Only a few fish today and the warm wind never let up. Here are some pictures. Here is a quick 360 degree view from my hut. The wind blows the wrist strap in the way.
  16. PM'd you. Call your operator for sure.
  17. I will transport walleye and perch home FROZEN and then they come back to life when they are sitting in my sink. In the boat I use the livewell or a stringer.
  18. Gerritt, I was looking at those last time I was in Can. Tire. Pretty sure they were $5 but might have been a smaller package. Anyways I saw the have Anise scented ones. I have heard good things about nthe perch going wild on the Anise scent.
  19. I have a 2004 Explorer Sportrac (suv/truck) and I can fit my 8' Allstar Badboy Muskie rod in it but m 9' Compre is a challenge. Thank god my back window goes down. Seriously putting down one of your rear windows may be an option for you.
  20. I was chatting with Matt tonight out on C. Bay. Was waiting to see the vid.
  21. COOL. I want to be a Pron star.
  22. There are 10-15 different operators on Nipissing. Still gonna have good ice after this wekkend. Call about cancelations and you could probably grab a bungalow for 1 night.
  23. Just a little Smelt thogh.
