Here's a history of the recalls for that vehicle..... 1999-2000 Grand Cherokee: Inadequately manufactured shoulder seatbelt height-adjustable turning-loop top mounting bolt may not withstand sufficient force to function properly in certain impact situations. 2000 Grand Cherokee: Improperly heat-treated end-of-travel stops in some steering-gear units could result in sticking, binding, or seizing of the steering gear. 2000 Grand Cherokee: Passenger-airbag inflator assembly in small number of cars contains incorrect inflator charge amount, which could increase risk of passenger injury under certain crash conditions. 2000 Grand Cherokee: The plastic blades of the electric motor driven cooling fan may separate and penetrate the shroud, possibly striking a person in the vicinity of the engine by the blade and injured. Dealers will replace the electric cooling fan modules free of charge. 2000-02 Grand Cherokee: Fuel tank on some vehicles may have suspect vent-tube welds; separation of tube weld could result in fuel leakage. Here are some trouble spots.... 1999-2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee: Reliability Trouble Spots Consumer Guide's® Auto Editors have scoured repair bulletins and questioned mechanics to search for commonly occurring problems for a particular vehicle. In some cases we also give possible manufacturer-suggested solutions. In many instances these trouble spots are Technical Service Bulletins posted by the manufacturer, however, we have our own expert looking at additional vehicle problems. Engine misfire: The powertrain-control module (engine computer) may have to be reprogrammed or replaced if the engine sags with the A/C on. (1999) Fuel odors: The gas tank may fill slowly because of a problem with the filler pipe, which has been revised, and there is also a revised gas cap to replace binding ones. (1999) Hard starting: Engine may be hard to start due to an internal leak or bits of plastic wedged inside the fuel-pump assembly. A new sealing ring or complete pump assembly could be required. (1999-2000) Hard starting: Faulty fuel pump assembly leads to low fuel pressure and long cranking times. (1999-2000) Oil leak: Gear lube may leak from the rear differential, especially after driven at highway speeds following cold soak, and is caused by oil coming out of the vent. Installing an accumulator on the vent line is necessary. (1999-04) Vehicle noise: Popping/snapping noises are usually corrected by replacing the front driveshaft. In many cases, that unit probably has a dry universal joint. (1999) Vehicle noise: Replacing the rear driveshaft eliminates a whining sound above 40 mph. (1999-2000) Vehicle shake: If camber alignment cannot be brought into spec, countermeasure offset ball joints are available. (1999-2000) Finally...here is a page where tons of people who bought this vehicle have written reviews.... http://www.epinions.com/auto_Make-2000_Jee...nion_list/pp_~7

Did everyone hear that someone bought the house that was used in the Christmas Story and spent a bunch of cash restoring it back to what it looked like when the movie was shot? They also bought the house across the street for use as a gift shop.... They are now doing tours of the house....here's the link.... http://www.achristmasstoryhouse.com/

Gas in my area (East GTA) was 79.9 last night and around 90 this morning. About 5 cents more than a few weeks ago.....
-
LOL...How many times as a kid did you hear.... "Fire in North Tonowanda....this is Irv Weinstein reporting, channel 4...."
-
My personal favourite is Christmas Story...soooo many classic moments.... - The swearing scene with no discernable words - The trying to walk in the snowsuit scene - "You're gonna shoot yer eye out" - The broken lamp - Christmas Duck at the Chinese restaurant And lots more!!! Recently though with our 4 year old, it's been great fun seeing her enjoy all the classic kids movies...the ones that I grew up with.

I think the new name says it all...it's a community here. There are not enough thank-yous to go around to the admins and moderators. There is a lot of crap you guys have to put up with to keep this site going. The information and humour this site gives means a lot to the members....my wife and I included. It's not said enough, but I want to say THANK YOU to all who make this community something special....and that includes all the great members here.

Great report Kenny...you have a real knack of writing! Next time, you should post the report as a new thread...more people will read and comment on it. BTW...you dont suck....it was a learning experience. My wife and I have posted some big walleye on here, but what ppl dont really know is that most days we go, we get skunked! We do learn from every time out though. Keep up the great work and reports...and oh yeah...hope Santa is good for you. Cliff

The only ice I think I'll be seeing is in my drinks...or maybe in my freezer. Sucks for ice fishing, but great if you hate snow!

Weather permitting.....you may be right. I can only hope!!! -
Wow...this was a great shot!!!!

For those who missed it....here was my "coming out" so to speak....hehe. Ok, my secret is out, I might as well confess........the real reason all our pictures are at night, the real reason we are never in the same photo, and the real reason we catch "big" fish........ Ccmt is a hobbit. His real name is Grigory Bolger and yes, we do live in the Shire. Thank you Moosebunk for outing him, it is such a relief, now he can be himself. By the way, that 4 pounder was actually 4.25 That is a BIG difference for "little people". Daisy Bilgor (member formally known as Blyght) PS Photoshop pic provided by Rosie-Posie Peatfingers of Brockenborings (our half hobbit daughter) You mean this pic???

Very sad story...esp since it struggled for so long. This probably happens a lot more than we think...esp in warm winters like this. Sorry you had to witness it.
-
Great job!! Hope he was as tasty as he looks in your pics! You are well within your right to keep fish...as long as it's within regs...so I hope he made a great meal for your mom. Hope to see more reports from you!

It's funny you mention that....this one fought like crazy. I mentioned to my wife "It's fighting like crazy...must be a small one". We've found the 12 plus pounders are so lethargic that they are like logs coming in after about a minute of fighting. The 9 to 11 pounders seem to have more fight in them. I then saw it surface and I didn't say another word...I knew it very well could have been my personal best and I switched to full concentration mode. Once it came in and I saw how FAT he was, I looked like a deer caught in the headlights...couldn't believe how big he was. -

WOW!!! You guys had an AWESOME day on the water!!!! I've only caught 9 all year (10 lbs plus), and here you guys pull in 13 in 5 hours. I'm sure you'll remember this day forever! Congrats on the triple header and Steve's PB. With the weather the way it's been, you may be on the soft water next month! -
Are You A _____- Angler Or A Multispecies Angler?
ccmtcanada replied to Crazyhook's topic in General Discussion
This past year, it's been exclusively Walleye...but it's that by default. I dont have a boat, and because of my day job and kids, I can only get out at night. Catching trophy eyes is an awesome feeling, but next year I'd like to get out for Salmon and Muskie!!! -

Wow...thanks for your great comment! We never really thought of it the way you explain it here. We're actually flattered that people remember the details of our year! We just love going out...spend some time together, and not sit like silent vegetables staring at the TV....LOL. I know that if my wife wasn't into fishing as much (or more) than me, that I wouldn't get out there nearly as much. If the weather holds up, hopefully we'll have more reports....until then....we'll keep crossing our fingers! Thanks again! -
We have a belief that the youngest on the trip catches the most fish. Our 4 year old always outfishes us!!!!
-
Ok...I know we posted a season ending report a few weeks ago, but with all the mention on the board as to how hot the action still is in Picton, and this awesome mid-December weather, we just had to go out a few times. Here is a little summary of our success....starting with this "little" guy. Blyght's 8.5 pound, 30" length x 15" girth Next came my 11 pounder, 30.5" x 17" girth Now they got BIG!!! Here's Carole's 14 pounder, 31" x20" girth Now...for the first time, I have the biggest fish of one of our reports!!! This was a 14.5 pound, 32" x 19" new personal best for me! While Christmas shopping "for the kids", I stopped in at a local tackle shop and bought a new lure....I had a good feeling about it!!! All of the toothy critters swam away...to spend Christmas with their families....eat tons of food...and we'll try to meet up with them again next year.....hehe
-
That is until you burn it on a DVD, and you have a 52" widescreen tv....hehe.
-
Looks like the little guy is recovering quite nicely. I remember when I was a kid....our neighbour had a dog with 3 legs...and man could that dog run!!! He was missing a front leg too. He too was hit by a car, but lived a very active and healthy life. My neighbour said that he was "lucky" that it was a front and not a back leg....all power and support come from the back, and they are quick to learn the front is for balance.

My wife and I have landed over 15 walleye this fall, between 8 and 15 pounds....all on either 8lb or 10lb mono. If you have something you're happy with...then I say dont change. Then again, what do I know??? haha
