  1. Gotta love clear regulations.....LOL
  2. This was an amazing slide show!!!!!! Thanks so much for sharing....I was definately daydreaming while watching it....cant wait til spring!!!
  3. The fishing regs specifically say "ice fishing" for Scugog...no other lake does it specify that....so I'm not too sure. It says.... | Fishing is prohibited in all waters of Div. 6, including Kawartha Lakes and Dalrymple Lake in the City of Kawartha Lakes (formerly known as Victoria County) and Simcoe County, from Nov. 16 to the Friday before the last Saturday in April in any year. This restriction does not apply to Lake Scugog ice fishing in Jan. and Feb Maybe someone from that area can clear this up!
  4. Welcome to the board!!! Great first report...can wait to see those 10 pounders!
  5. I dont have a boat...but if I did, I'd probably be thinking of taking it out of "winter" storage. In the mean time, I'm having fun still heading out to do some shore fishing. The first week of January is shaping up to be a good week. I'll keep crossing my fingers!
  6. Awww...very cute...and great looking and happy family!!!! Congrats again!!
  7. You are right...you never did say it was the prettiest....LOL. Congrats on your first one!!! Hope to see more reports coming to you...I see this was your first post....are you from the old board and just registered? If not, then welcome to OFC...you'll love it here. Cliff
  8. Great job again!!! I always look forward to reading your posts and viewing your pics....thanks! With the weather the way it is, I have a feeling I'll be seeing them all thru the winter!
  9. I've already had the pleasure of fishing with fishindevil and I look forward to more days in the spring chasing some even bigger fish! I'd also like to meet up with Rick...to share some Walleye secrets.
  10. When I was in grade 5, I tested positive for TB....turns out I didn't have it, never exhibited symptoms, but that there is a risk I could be a carrier. I totally forgot about it and when I was 25, I went to give blood. My office frequently hosts blood drives for the Red Cross. They asked me the TB question, and I was excluded. Because of that, I volunteered for the day...giving out cookies to people as they left....I figure it was the least I could do.
  11. Congrats!!! blyght and I are very happy for you and your now bigger family!! It's so great that dad could be here to see it. Merry Christmas!!!
  12. WOOHOO!!!! Congrats fishergirl!!!! What's her name? As for me...I just want a safe and happy Christmas. I dont really need anything...except seeing my kids' smiles on Christmas morning. I'm not delusional in thinking those smiles will be there all day, but one can hope....haha
  13. Daytime highs for Peterborough will be around 0 to 6C from now until the end of the year. Night lows will be below freezing. Jan 2nd...back up to double digits! Not looking good for ice. Here's the 14 day outlook for the area... http://www.theweathernetwork.com/weather/1...36.htm?CAON0536
  14. One of the only times I went out on Boxing Day was for my oldest daughter. We bought her what she wanted that year....a Playstation 2. She was so excited to unwrap it....it even came with a game so she could get started right away. We hooked it up and it didn't work. She was a trooper, but I could tell she was disappointed and it almost killed me seeing that. I PROMISED her that first thing boxing day, I'd be up and back to the store to get a new one...if they even had one. I was in front of the store 1/2 hour before it opened....got in and returned home with a new working unit.
  15. Awww man....NOW I'M HUNGRY!!!! LOL. Gotta have an early lunch now...
  16. Happy bday!!!! Do you still get combo Christmas/Bday gifts? I always felt sorry for kids who had that happen to them.....haha. Hope you have a great day!
  17. Great job! I remember that original thread...very happy to hear that this great community was able to help out... Now go and catch some bigguns!!!!
  18. Hands down....my favourite thread was SNAG's salmon post called "SCOTTISH SALMON XXX" Here's the link..... http://ontfish.proboards89.com/index.cgi?a...9674&page=1 I still laugh when I think of that post....esp since the thing never called him back...but thanks to the support of this board, he was able to move on.....
  19. I have to say, that if there was an award for most entertaining fishing reports of the year that that honour would go to you....hands down!!! Hey...why isn't there an award for that???? haha. I still laugh over that salmon post in October...still no phone call???
  20. blyght and I release almost everything we catch....whether it's a 12" bullhead or a 32" walleye. The only one we've kept was a 15lb walleye that blyght tried to release for over a half and hour in vain. She was hooked deeply and unfortunately was hooked in the gills. Blood was everywhere. We are making sure that her legacy continues....we're getting it mounted in the new year.
  21. Hey now!!! I would never do that....hahaha I gotta find some ugly pics now....hehe
  22. Great report! Always enjoy reading and seeing your pics. Gotta love this weather....gonna get cool around Christmas, then long range is saying double digits again!
  23. WOW!!!! Congrats on both fronts!!!! Made extra special that daddy can be home during the holidays and the birth of their first child. Cant think of a better Christmas than that!!!! Anyways...hopefully we catch up in person during the next few weeks...
  24. Cant fish for walleye in Div 8 (Lake O) from First day of Mar until first Saturday in May.......I believe Pike is closed for April only...opening again the first Saturday in May.
  25. Awesome report snag!! Great to see people getting out this late in the year. That last pike was a nice size! Trolling from the ferry?? They dont like that??? Jeez....it's not like your disrupting their business or anything!
