  1. Yet another epic report! I cant believe how much Brendan has grown up since I last saw him in person!! Great stuff...lots of memories made on trips like these for both of you!
  2. The weekend never seems to work with my summer schedule, but I am more than happy to help out by bidding in the auction. Can't wait to hit the waters for some musky with Mike in September!! Looks like an amazing event....very well planned....and the smiles on everyone's face is simply priceless. Great job to everyone involved!!
  3. Since I do most of my fishing with Fishnsled, there hasn't been a need to get my boat out of the garage. That finally changed over this month. I stayed at a cottage on a tiny lake up in Muskoka over the past two weeks and managed to get out almost every morning I was there for a few hours to hunt down some bass. There is no public boat launch on this lake, so I made a donation to a summer camp that is also on the lake and I was in business! It wasn't really a launch....just a level entry into the lake on a beach that's hard packed sand. Good enough for me!! When I say this is a small lake...it's truly tiny! When I open it up, I can get across the entire lake in about 30 seconds tops! It's about 400 meters across and maybe a kilometer long. It's quite deep....45 feet down the middle, but the bays come up to about 8 feet with lots of great weed beds. I knew there had to be some bass in this lake! Most fish were around the 1 to 2 pound range, but I did manage to pull a few really nice ones out of the lake. I fished alone most days, so I had to take self pics...so they are not that great. On one of my last days there, I tossed a senko rigged texas style out into the middle of a weed bed. I didn't feel the hit, but my line suddenly took off shortly after it landed. I set the hook and this big one took me by surprise! I will have to make it a point to take my little boat out more often...
  4. Absolutely STELLAR report Joey! This one had it all...some laughs, friends, fish and as always amazing photography!
  5. GREAT report Will! Looks like you guys had a blast up there! How come no pictures of the cabin interior? I'd be most interested in that....LOL One of these days I will make it on a fly-in....
  6. In fact, all the stores are franchised. There are no corporately run Canadian Tire stores. Each independent Dealer can "interpret" the customer service policies as they see fit unfortunately. Because of that, you will have your good and bad stores. Calling the 1-800 customer service line will almost always fix your problem though...they are not connected to the store and have the "power" to compensate customers no matter what the store told you.
  7. Time to fix the date on the camera! LOL. Wow...the trees that came down there are unreal! I hope no one was in the cottage or was hurt when the storm blew through! Nice fish by the way!
  8. Awesome stuff Will! Some great fish and that bonus Atlantic to boot! I'm sure it will be a fishing trip to remember for all!
  9. The fish do not mind getting wet! Go get em!
  10. What the heck were you thinking?? LOL. Great report Sean! Looks like a great time...and perfect to share it with your better looking half!!!
  11. Saw the video on Facebook! Awesome catch for Monique!! One question. Who was the schoolgirl who shot the video?
  12. Apparently not! Lol Carry on!
  13. Yep. I do...it more about being lazy than anything else!
  14. I could be wrong but I think that is a tiger Muskie or juvenile Muskie....maybe someone can clarify. Great catch!!
  15. That's awesome!! Kudos to you for going that extra mile and may the fishing gods reward you. Total class act!
  16. That is one SWEET ride!!! Congrats!
  17. Excellent report Joey and spectacular pics as usual! That's a great Muskie!!
  18. Or perhaps the local cottage association has a deal with them....all their repairs and boating needs bought through them and in return they try to inhibit boat traffic on the lake...
  19. I don't blame you one bit for the rant! $45 is wayyy too steep! I've launched at marinas with nice concrete launches where the staff actually helps you for as low as $10 to launch in and out and to park. I've never paid more than $15. Charging $45 seem like they are trying to discourage it
  20. For a three hour tour....
  21. Nah..I still remember that trip...you taught me how to rip jigs through weeds for walleye! A technique I still use today! Oh...to keep on topic with the thread...I cant fish this weekend either.
  22. I've fished with Sinker in the past and yes....he's a whack job....LOL. Just kidding!!
  23. That's a visual I didn't need. Thanks Brian....
