  1. I don't blame you one bit for the rant! $45 is wayyy too steep! I've launched at marinas with nice concrete launches where the staff actually helps you for as low as $10 to launch in and out and to park. I've never paid more than $15. Charging $45 seem like they are trying to discourage it
  2. For a three hour tour....
  3. Nah..I still remember that trip...you taught me how to rip jigs through weeds for walleye! A technique I still use today! Oh...to keep on topic with the thread...I cant fish this weekend either.
  4. I've fished with Sinker in the past and yes....he's a whack job....LOL. Just kidding!!
  5. That's a visual I didn't need. Thanks Brian....
  6. Any idea how often it needs to be reapplied? Looks very interesting!
  7. Hey...I heard a few people on this board may work for them.... Maybe it's just a rumour....LOL
  8. Joe...maybe we can play a few hours of Brown Eyed Girl for the party...
  9. Now that's a multi species report! Great stuff and awesome pictures!
  10. I always scrub front to back too. Messed up too many shirts with black crud flying back at me. Lol.
  11. Sweet! That's one heck of a walleye!! Congrats! Oh...the bass were good too. Lol
  12. Lol. One person on guitar and a voice a band does not make!! I've seen Road Gravy live and they would be perfect I think!
  13. Message headhunter. His band "Road Gravy" is awesome! http://www.roadgravyband.ca/
  14. Do you have a boat or is this shore fishing? If its shore pike you are looking for then I'd start at the Toronto Islands. If you have a boat, then I'd suggest Lake Scugog for bass. No pike there but bass, walleye and muskies roam those waters.
  15. What's "near" for you? How long a car ride? Are you east or west end in the city? Assuming panfish is what you are looking for?
  16. What? you don't like my new fishing shirt??? LOL
  17. When you say it's weak, do you mean it's not cold air or the flow of air is weak? It could be your blower motor needs replaced. When I had central air installed, I also replaced the 20 year old furnace as well because they gave me a deal if I got both at the same time. I used "aire one" for the job...I didn't get the most expensive models....but 10 years later both are still going strong. The salesman I spoke to said even the lowest brand names will have much better efficiency (furnace) than anything 20 years old.
  18. Wow! Those are huge! Great going guys!
  19. Holy cow! Torrential rain and wind. Hail hitting the house and the street looks like a river.
  20. Whatever! Lol. I picked the lake that day so I think that disqualifies him for being a guide. Lol
  21. That sounds like fun! We should do that sometime! Right after you teach me how to use that center pin! (Which I haven't even out for steelhead in almost 2 years!)
  22. Big lightning show coming in from the north here in Whitby.
  23. That's awesome!!!! Amazing catch! Now dad...I think he has proven he deserves a nice 6 foot spinning setup!
  24. Here's a picture of my dad in 1961... Once us kids were born, we'd visit a friends cottage where he taught us how to fish... He was an outdoorsman at heart...here he is shortly before being diagnosed with cancer. During a chemo break, he had enough energy to fish...so me and my brothers hired a guide for some Lake Ontario Lakers. This turned out to be his last fishing outing, as he passed away 6 months later. Hard to believe he's been gone 18 years now. Thanks for starting this thread! Made me smile to dig out these pictures again!
  25. What kind of a guide makes his client navigate the boat using the trolling motor while he sits on his butt and eats lunch!?!?? I'm not implying anything....just sayin! Lol
