  1. I think many of us are envious that you got that many days to fish in such a short period of time! I've thoroughly enjoyed your reports over that time period....thanks for taking the time to post them! Great smallie by the way.
  2. I believe all you "NEED" is a working flashlight to avoid fines. Keep it inside a ziplock bag until it's needed...just don't drop it in the water....
  3. Get a crank flashlight for your boat....never have to worry about dead batteries when the MNR checks you out on the water.
  4. I vote from multiple PCs a day....we'll do our best to get ya there Joey!
  5. Sweet website Chris! Music sounds great as well. Great job and good luck on the release!
  6. Hey HH...surprised you said all those good things about him. He invites me aboard and wont let me catch anything. Then he invites you on board a sinking ship....hmmm.... Seriously though...Will is a great guy....and always willing to help out when he can. Looking forward to boarding your fine vessel again soon....assuming it wont sink on us....I'm a terrible swimmer.
  7. You want me to come over and install that pump? Honest...I've done hundreds of them. I have a hacksaw, some duct tape and krazy glue all ready to go. Oh and for the record...I never wanted the boat to actually sink. Sorry to hear about your troubles, but glad to hear it'll be taken care of for your vacation!!! Thanks for the OFC tip of the day!! I should just get a new one. Mine never worked from the day I got the boat....the electrical and drain hose is all installed...just need to splurge on the 20 dollar pump.
  8. It'll be fine Victor....she had a tendon pop out...so it's very sore and flares up easily. Just gotta keep it immobile for a while then it'll be good as new!
  9. Wow!!! Great looking fish! Congrats to your son on that beauty PB!
  10. Nice going! Odd they didn't fight too much...even the smaller ones tend to have some spunk in them. Hope they tasted great!
  11. SWEEEEEEEEEET!!!!! That's one hell of a great looking fish! Congrats to your buddy on christening his new muskie gear!
  12. Great to see!! There's no stopping her now!! How's her wrist holding up? Good luck next weekend....packing the hotdogs is a smart idea...hopefully you wont need them though...LOL. Have fun on your first daddy/daughter weekend together.
  13. Hey Mike! What a great report! Your son certainly did have an amazing weekend....it's always nice to see the kids to the catching. My little one asks "What if I catch the biggest and most fish?". My answer is "I'd love to see that happen"...and I mean it! Really good to see some fish caught...Percher had a nice one there, but this weekend belonged to your son. I was fishing with Tracker and Skeeter on the weekend....and we talked about you a bit...saying that we haven't seen you around the board a whole lot lately. Makes sense...you were out fishing!! LOL
  14. Sweet report! That's one great looking walleye...a GREAT catch. That pike is a real beauty as well! Lakair was the weekend of June 21st...so you missed out by a few weeks there!
  15. Great reports there guys! It's great to see OFNers getting out there, sharing knowledge and catching fish! Sorry to hear about the motor problems...I had starting issues at the beginning of the season, so I know what that's like!
  16. Welcome to the board...even though you've been around and know what we are all about already! You fishing history almost exactly mimics mine. My dad's best friend had a cottage and we were up there a LOT during the summer months. His friend sold the cottage when I was 8 or 9 and that stopped my fishing in it's tracks. Then, in 2006, my wife and I both picked up fishing rods again and the rest is history. That sunset pic is great, but that one of your little girl is priceless...she's a real cutie! Oh yeah...nice fish pic too....LOL.
  17. Hey Mark, Most of my shore reports end up like yours...but when the fish are on, it makes all those skunks worth it. I fish after work most evenings to relieve the day's stress....if catching something happens then all the better. At the end of the day though, the relaxation and time spent with my wife (who is with me every time) is what it's really all about.
  18. They can sense it I believe. However, I've found that just before a storm the feed turns on...not off. If anything, barometric pressure and wind direction plays more into what happened to you. If the wind is going the wrong way, many of my shore spots won't produce. Extremely high pressure doesn't work out very well for us either. Low pressure, with westerly winds seem to be the best for my shore spots.
  19. LOL Rich....I always knew there was something special about you.
  20. Yeah...I know what you mean....I put my coat on first and they said "Wusses". Then Tracker and I headed in first because of some little engine trouble, they finally headed in. They wouldn't be the first to head to the docks...LOL.
  21. The boat is pretty much a weekend thing, so during the week, we still try to get out as much as we can to hit some shore spots in our area. The carp seem to be in full spawn, so we decided to see what else was swimming around....here's a few pics of what we've managed.... Bly's Sheepie...caught using a small inline spinnerbait. Here's a rogue bass I caught....using live leeches and floating at a depth of about 6 feet. One night we used simple worm/hook/float and managed a few fair sized bullhead. Sometimes, just getting back to basics can yield some results!
  22. SWEET Bass! Congrats to the little guy Looks like quite the fishing partner there Sinker....you must be as proud as he is happy right now!
  23. Skeeter invited us up to his trailer up on Chemong Lake on Saturday, so Bly and I (and our little one), packed up the car and after a quick stop at Tim Horton's, we were on the road and arrived at 11am. We were greeted by Skeeter outside the park and went up to meet his wife and son. My little one found out that they had 2 cats....one of those being a very young kitten! That was it for her....she was inside playing with that kitten and we didn't hear from her until it was time for lunch. Here's a pic of the two of them later that night. Tracker (Don) showed up a little while later and we all sat on the porch, exchanging life and fishing stories! The time just slipped by, and after a bbq lunch, taking the little one to the swimming pools and more talking it was already 5pm!! Originally, Bly was going to stay back and fish the docks with our daughter, and maybe practise casting with a new baitcaster setup that Fishnsled gave her. Skeeter's wife chimed in and told her that if she was comfortable with it, that she could take her to the docks and occupy her time if Bly wanted to head out with us. You can tell when she is having a great time, because she barely looked up from the kitten and she said "Ok...see you later". We got out on the water at around 530. The weather had looked threatening from time to time, but the storms never arrived! We got down to the docks and I said "So, who's fishing with who?". It took Skeeter one second to yell out "Bly's with me and we're going to kick your @#$!". Well ok then!! It didn't take long for the fish catching to start. We looked over at Skeeter to him land a nice sized walleye. I had the camera...so no pics. We began to drift...the conditions at the beginning were perfect...choppy water, overcast skies...we were hoping to have some nice Walleye fillets!! A little while later, I hooked into this nice sized eater! Into the livewell it goes. We drifted for the rest of the evening...periodically adjusting and while we didn't see any more walleye, we got into some fish. The winds picked up as the evening wore on...so the drifting was faster and faster...I think that affected our walleye hook-ups. Tracker with a HUGE bass... Me with a scrappy one.... My crappie... Tracker's nice sized one!! We kept calling over to Skeeter's boat asking how they were doing. By the time the sun was setting, they said they had 7 and released some smaller ones. WOW!!! We had one that we kept...but jeez...what were they using? When we asked, Skeeter said "I'll tell you back at the docks...." We finally got back to the docks at around 930, we rush over to see all these walleye they boated. The stringer comes out of the water and we do indeed see 7 fish. ONE walleye, ONE bass and 5 Crappie....LOL. They intentionally let us believe they were slamming the walleye. Skeeter's justification was "We didn't say WHAT we'd kick your @#$! at" LOL. Tracker and I threw back just as many crappie and bass that they had on their stringer. Anyhow...a great laugh, but the mosquitoes were literally swarming us, so off to the trailer. Here are a few pics of the end of the night. We had a GREAT time....thank you so much Skeeter and family. Your hospitality was amazing....and since you invited us back up again, we'll be in touch!! Always a pleasure seeing you Tracker...it's never a dull moment when OFNers can get together like that.
  24. I just voted my 3 times and she's now at 12th!!! GO JOEY GO!!!
  25. This is our first season with a boat. I'd have to say that Sturgeon Lake is my fav lake that's close to home. Scugog comes in second...only because it's even closer to home. I loved fishing the West Arm of Lake Nipissing...learning that lake after a few trips up there.
