  1. Off to see the Wizard in the morning... hope he's been practicing his magic all weekend!

  2. Can someone else tell Kelvin to unplug his TV for an hour or so... he's not listening to me !!
  3. Yah... but it was plugged in correct? Part of the problem with all things "new" and they are always "ready" for instant on. Try unplugging it for an hour or so.. and plug it back in.
  4. Did yah unplug it for awhile Kelvin and then plug it back in? Sounds like an overheated power supply...
  5. The "fun" never ends... Mother in Law needs a triple bypass!

Well if I had my way.. lol.. but Leah thinks she needs to take care of her. I said call your two sisters and let them deal with it!

  6. Oh and remember, just because a boat will hold water from draining out of it... doesn't mean there's not a rivet or crack that while under load will let the water in ! Do you have a livewell???? Is the transom input pump or it's corresponding plumbing leaking? Oh.. and Brian...
  7. This is starting to get more complicated than it needs to be. OP states, boat sitting over night = wet carpet at back. Out fishing he has to pump 2 or 3 times" which tells me the added weight of people and gear speeds up the water intrusion. Sounds like there's a crack somewhere... get underneath and have a good look around before you get to carries away at tearing things apart on the inside. If you do tear apart the inside... there will be plenty of open water for some time in the GTA, so take it down to a ramp after the carpets up and float it for awhile, take a sharpie marker with you to circle the leaking rivets. If you have some leaks in inaccessible places, you don't have to access both sides to install a new rivet... you can get blind "tank" rivets to simply coat with sealer... insert and pull.
  8. When's the last time you sliced some pieces off some hash?
  9. I can only think of one team that skates slow enough to read them...
  10. Just find the leaks, loose rivets and such and fix it right the first time. It's an aluminum boat, don't be putting epoxy on it to fix it. You wouldn't screw aluminum patches to a fiberglass boat... well I guess some just might... Rebuck any loose rivets, look for any cracks and patch with alum and a few more rivets. Sikaflex 1A, or 3M5200 for sealant. You can also go into RONA and buy Sikaflex construction adhesive in gray for about 7 bucks a caulking tube. It's the same, for all intensive purposes, as the 1A.
  11. He already did...
  12. You mean "discussed" Brian?
  13. I know how much it sucks to be able to fix anything with a pocket knife and a hammer Cliff, but I can't fix my own kid! You lash out all you want !
  14. Yes.. if it's sat for a period of time water is heavier than oil and will come out first... or the oil will look milky. If it comes out looking like it went in, it's generally fine after low usage. I generally do my 9.9's lower unit oil every second year. I always do my 275's.
  15. Go with your FIRST thought!
  16. Call Gramps at Angus Lake (about 10 miles S of Temag) and see what they have in house. 705-569-3825
  17. Thanks for the update Lew.. sounds like things have gone well ! Get some sleep... you're gonna need it once she gets home!
  18. Capt.. there is no engine oil in an Optimax.. it's a 2 stroke and as for lower gear oil, not out of the norm to remove the lower screw.. see nothing but clean gear oil and put the screw back in. No point wasting 700 ml of gear oil at $24.95/ litre if it's still like new.
  19. Doubt that's worth the $76 for them Glen... it's just lack of thought.
  20. Like I said Terry.. I can do it all day every day now, it's an unfortunate mindset you have to get yourself into or you'll have a coronary. It's Jen with only one hip to sit on, and the lack of comfort in the truck, that gets me pissed off with these Doctors. That and the fact that none seem to realize the real world situation of $100 in gas + $24 in parking (let alone a lost day) vs just making a phone call to tell you to come in next week instead.
  21. Enjoy your day old guy!
  22. Can't believe that I started this thread 4 years ago.. and we are once again in wait mode. Today's trip a waste of time to her medical oncologist, they could have just called her on the phone to tell her she'll get a full body CT NEXT Monday instead of making her ride in a truck for 5 hours. Why it wasn't booked for today is beyond me as the appointment was arranged a week ago Friday. Conference between hospitals still tomorrow, as far as we know, and then Sunnybrook Wednesday afternoon where she'll hopefully get a direction from the radiation oncologist on everything above her shoulders. At least she'll be getting her staples out of her head if nothing else.
  23. Yep.. looks like it has a 60 amp for wire / motor protection and a 10 amp for the "cigarette" plug on the case. Says it fits 24 and 27 series batteries... so you can stuff most anything in that box.
  24. Don't forget a fuseable link or resettable circuit breaker within a foot of the battery.... 800 CCA could make a lot of smoke mid way down that ganoe...
  25. At this point in life.. I could care less if I wake up late, but I sure don't want to be early so I'll check my fall back clock!
