  1. Cliff's old enough not to need the boat card for now...but yes Vessel license is a mandatory carry on a boat over 9.9 HP and failure to show is a $300 or so $ fine. As for insurance..boats are the last thing in Ontario that this isn't mandatory for. Most house policies cover up to 10 HP for liability and some go to 18. If you are higher HP than your policy wording you can have it amended for minimal $'s if you only want liability. If you want theft..more dollars. My cottage policy only costs me $162 extra to have $6000 coverage for theft on the 25HP Honda and liability insurance. Peace of mind if you have a mess moment.
  2. Unfortunate that my camera batteries died after the last shot here. The next one would have looked like WWF as the turkey went from being bent back out of view to a full cartwell and body slam. Neck looked like a limp noodle going around. I wasn't disappointed...just watched the red fox, that follows these guys around day in ... day out... walk off with supper. Sorry if the pic are coming and going folks...our server is up and down right now. Got some power issues going on in the Penetang industrial park it appears.
  3. Can be like Turkeys fighting.... So the question is...can I eat the one that got it's neck broke by the other one...or do I leave it where I did for fox food? Some people pay good money to watch this kind of action! They went at it for a least 20 minutes before I even bothered walking into the house, grabbing the camera and then heading across the field to photograph.
  4. I just take a good looking women boating with me so it's not boring ship wrecked on the shoal....
  5. Don't know the difference...but I did grab an accudepth 27LC from my buddy Jim in Temagami before I came home. Eyeballed it all summer in the store and told him it must be no good since it hadn't sold, so he should give it to me for cheap. $40 and I left with the reel. Dano is going to get to try this one...since he can't seem to reel with the correct (left) hand !
  6. Like Joey says...and now since you put it in print the police are gonna come bangin on the door to arrest the Mrs for arson! lol I live with a house full of "witches" that see stuff like that in advance....
  7. Some nice fish in that there post GBG ! That pike's a beauty!
  8. Nice report David ! Glad to see the gals are coming in...
  9. Excellent report! Haven't been there, to fish, in over 20 years. Looks like some good numbers still running the tribs..
  10. Sounds like a hand mix job...not sure anyone will deliver a single cubic yard of concrete these days...as that's what that is if you toss in a couple rocks.
  11. Only if I can get a deal on a family plot Rizzo! LOL
  12. Too bad Dave...at least you gave it a shot.... and thanks to this thread I've found at least one guy I'll never tell where there's a 50+ inch Musky living... or a school of minnows for that matter!
  13. Get all those ground wires off the hull. They should all go to an insulated terminal block and then to the - battery terminal. Using the hull as a ground...in water... turns it somewhat into a battery and you are seeing the results.
  14. It's unfortunate that nobody could take Dave up on this offer....I even gave him a certain address to try this morning before he launched ! You OFC'rs need to get your priorities straight.... work is over rated !
  15. There's a fish in that picture Art...I can't find it...
  16. Hey...how's your buddy GT ?
  17. Hey...everything is a little different in 'bama...don't yah know that! LOL
  18. Same from me my dear.... keep it going for years to come, it suits you well.
  19. Dang...now dawg is doin the carp thing too. What's this world coming too? LOL Good to see you out bubba and something pullin your string to boot.
  20. Thanks Roy...and like I said earlier in this thread Mike..if you're not learning anything..what's the point!
  21. Mike...the one shot shows the rod in it. We were trolling three rods. One each side and one down the middle..just off the edge of the wash. Distance back/down varied as the day went on. Only had a couple instances of tangling as a couple baits didn't run true on the center rod.
  22. Glad everyone is alright Garry. You've got the right attitude...the boat can be replaced...you can not!
  23. Is that why your engines run like a sewing machine Brian?
