  1. Won't know 'till the day TJ.. but if I can, I'll be there.
  2. You didn't turn the fuel c oc k (noodle LOL) off last year by chance...and forget to turn it back on? Plastic key is inserted / or on switch in place so the spark isn't grounded out?
  3. Can't say I've ever seen a boring post that featured Stevie Hamilton...
  4. So you use to ice fish Lew... or you were just the rescue party/driver ??!!
  5. Hey Dann... they're on the minnow bucket...
  6. Better the bolts broke now Stan than out on the lake. They would have... my boat house doesn't have much spare hardware anymore thanks to a few clam owners visiting..
  7. Be a whole knew meaning to sparking one up.... Good luck fella !

  9. Bass pro should have a set of hyfax runners in stock for a clam Terry $65 or so.... and if it's the same as Frabil you get 4 pieces long enough for most any hut. You could also source it from P&A Plastics in Hamilton.. it's where I buy my sheet from for aircraft ski bottoms, but I only use 1/8". Funny it holds up on airplanes landing at 70mph or so... but it didn't last on the bottom of my frabill... must be those portage trails!!
  10. Well Rick.. remember it's a two way door. It's my turn to say if you need ANYTHING you let me know. There will be some LONG days ahead, but also some good memories to make you smile.... just when you think you can't go any further with that day. Wayne
  11. Great to see they were finally convicted, although the fines are a slap on the wrist for scarring OUR Crown land. Clifford Lowery was the author/co-author of the Temagami planning act and the planning committee chairman when this dredging and clear cutting was done. He has a long history of "it's fine for me, but not for you" and they delayed the proceedings of this case long enough that he was almost voted in as Mayor in October.
  12. Crazy carpet is no slippier(sp) than the polyethylene hut to begin with. The only thing that may help you is to buy/make the UHMW / Hyfax runners to put on the hut, which will lift it off some of the hull on light snow to cut drag.
  13. Hey Dann... got to bed! If the light is failing.. you either have a loose connection.. voltage regulator issue or a loose headlight assembly and vibration is killing it.
  14. I've replaced one headlight bulb since I started driving a vehicle at 15 years old... I'm 48. My F150 is now 8 model years old... my GMC Sierra is a '98 ..they have the originals in it..the GM has even had the front end creamed off it at one time!
  15. Grand River Brewing quarts.. or just pints?
  16. Just remember folks that EVERY Ontario citizen needs a fishing licence to fish whether your're 2 or 80 ! If you are 18 and under or a day over 65 you must have sufficient proof of age with you and that is considered to be your fishing licence, as is a handicap permit for anyone in between. If you can't prove whom you are or how old you are... you will be charged with fishing without a licence. If I remember correctly.. out of province anglers fishing with someone under 18.. their catch counts against your limit unless they have their own licence. There is no exemption for those over 65 from out of province. I don't have a reg book in front of me.....
  17. Nice way to put in them short days Dave !
  18. Like I said Cliff, when it comes to these I never throw a stone. Something about past chances taken and Karma all mixed together. Even with 3 feet of ice on the lake, before we even start a sled on Temagami I warn all the guys of at least one place they are NEVER to go on the lake. It may look frozen but it's not. Seems every lake has a spot or two like that, just like this area on Buckhorn.
  19. I don't throw them Cliff.. I was running open water on a 340 Johnson back in the mid '70's ! Some times the beaver meadow was a tad to wide though...
  20. Amazing how fast stuff gets scooped up out there. My auger cover disappeared in 10 minutes last year!
  21. Grabco's President R W Smalley Agent FA Smalley
  22. I use to move chickens from the raising barn to the egg laying pens for a girlfriends sister back in the '70's. My mother would be waiting for me with a garden hose before I could get in the back door!!
