  1. Cliff's always a good guy... I just hope he's not in too much of a hurry to loan it out. Still freezing rain here onto the 8" of snow that fell, and I'm sure it's probably heading East as time goes on..
  2. LOL M... if they took it down on you... they'll take it down on me. No matter to me, just what I happened to be listening to at the time... and just another one of John's fine tales...
  3. Pretend you live in the bush, or in my Mother's case as a kid and my uncle up until he burnt the house down on Glamour Lake around 1985.. boil some water on the stove (or BBQ) and have a sponge bath if you need to bathe that badly.
  4. Two of them actually... one foreign.. one domestic!
  5. When mine fall I just look at it as good hardwood that's already horizontal and ready to cut up and split! Saves me getting hit by dead heads when the tree falls the conventional way in the forest! We've still got power up here... but the almost invisible rain is really starting to be visible on the trees so who knows for how long. Oh well.. like I said in another thread... I go to bed at night and I get up in the morning.. but of course I can do that because I have a generator, three fireplaces in the house, a wood stove in the workshop, two tractors (one with a bucket and hoe), two chainsaws and a hydraulic splitter... oh and 500 gallons of AV gas and 300 gallons (700 if I include the furnace tanks) of diesel on site.
  6. Got a hose you can hook to the hot water tap at the washing machine Shayne and spray the limb ends and melt some ice off?
  7. Another 7" of snow up here overnight... yesterday was 4" and then a crust of freezing rain on top that I plowed away. Was just going to plow as it didn't look like it was doing anything outside, and the radar shows nothing, but stepping out the door realized it's raining so I'll just throw another log in the fire and put my feet up!
  8. Apparently the power is out on Yonge St in RH Hun... high voltage lines arcing makes much sense as to what you are seeing. Snowing up here... had ice this morning.
  9. I've prepared duck for supper, Dynasty.... do you want to say grace?
  10. Mascot Mr Bill has been spared an OH NO.. down the hole as well !
  11. A great way to start the ice season off, about 2 weeks before we usually try this lake, with a 23.5" pickeraleye. Most got tired, over the last couple of years, of trying to get me out fishing with all that's going on... but not these two (and Gbfisher as well for skis.. and Bernie and the boys last Feb). Thanks Guys!
  12. Rainy River tb Great stuff... shovel the kids a future rink and caught fish all at the same time!
  13. I remember my son getting his MSVOL so he could drive around with his grandfather on the trail when he turned 12... and still had to have an adult drive it across highways to be legal if I remember correctly.. or the MSVOL was so he could drive it across the highway drawing a blank on that one.
  14. Yep..I'm the fool crotchie.. don't you forget it...
  15. Stan.. any friends with a good RV trailer or truck camper? Travel will be great this year... currently about 10" or more of ice and no snow. Suspect you could park many places on the beaten tracks just by shovelling a parking spot to the side of the ice roads.... turn the heat on and enjoy yourself immensely using a portable hut or two. That said.. John and Jenny at Loon.... Bruce at Tamar... not sure if Ketchenany Lodge is still active but you could buy it for 900k and let us all stay there.... Temagami Island Lodge... Linda's Wigwams on Bear Island and others. Can never figure out the lack of advertising, yet the 100+ rental shacks and bungalows down in the South arm and Shiningwood Bay. Guess enough repeaters they stay happy and full.
  16. Then the CO would look like a real loser in court.
  17. Can't refuse a photocopy of a disability parking permit... and they are technically illegal to copy in the first place ... lol
  18. Not if they're banging on your door at 8am.
  19. If we get another page on this.. I'm sure someone will post that they are willing to quit work, collect poggy for a year and hand deliver the Watchtower to your door in a suit.
  20. Anyone have an easy source for 8 epoxy on undermount sink attach clips? Easy to find state side.. striking out here.

Aholes that just installed our 2k vanity top state we glued it (I don't know with what was ice fishing).. if your plumber doesn't mechanically secure it it's not our fault! Sad considering the HDepot top downstairs came with clips!

Thanks B.. realized with the sink overall width the same as the cabinet I could just wood block it so I did!

  21. Yah.. but that's only because Art puts ice in his drinks and Phil likes them "neat"!
  22. All I can tell you Joey, is that it looks a lot better than the last meal I had a Marc's! The day Dan had a terrible musky fishing accident, but no point wasting any meat! lol
  23. Imagine how tired the Leafs would be by the third if they did !
  24. Watched them raise the gas prices 8 cents / liter at 2pm. Must have been a refinery fire or something as surely it has nothing to do with the Friday before Christmas...
