  1. Almost every corner garage does tank swap... I'll never "own" a tank again with a 10 year expiry date on it.
  2. If it fails.. and then fails the second time after spending the max amount of specified repairs... then your conditional pass is good for a year just like it is when you pass an emission test. But with tests only required every 2 years... you'll be good for two. You will also have to find a tail pipe test facility for the '95. They should all be done that way anyhow. I still can't believe the GM's get away with pumping the very same air that is outside the car.. into the exhaust to dilute the ppm of pollution in their exhaust system to pass a tail pipe test! The end result is the same for what we breath...
  3. Nice fish Chris! Why I shudder every time I see the red safety light button taped down on the sunflower burners because the thermo is toast. It's there for a reason... He may have lite both burners.. and one went out on the close of the door.
  4. Jen's Nurse, Kim, brought her in a cake on Friday to celebrate her final week of chemo. The same nurse that also brought her in a cake when she was being discharged after her pelvic surgery in July of 2012. 95% of her nursing staff have been a blessing at both Mount Sinai and St. Michaels... and it's so great to have a few that still enjoy both doing their desired vocation and being social while doing so. We definitely know we've been inside the walls of Mount Sinai way too long.. when the cleaning staff hugs you good bye! We are home.. and home care made it up the laneway to give Jen her Neulasta needle. Two weeks of wait and watch and then back to some sense of normal for at least 4 weeks there after before her Feb 18th check up.
  5. Better work on that look before you try it on the ladies in Feb....
  6. Trim that blood line and fat line and it tastes like any other fish.
  7. Bring back Frank Veteres! If not for the deep dish.. the super steins!
  8. I can turn the T Control on and off... so I can spin the tires.. it's just the inability to throw it into reverse... just as you've nudged it forward at throttle that won't work. It has to idle down before it will go in reverse and there is no way to get a rocking rhythm going to get it moving.
  9. Sounds great.. found that mine, buried in 22" of snow with the trailer behind, on Monday is an absolute piece of crap. Can't rock F / R to work your way out .. as the computer controlled shift and throttle won't let you throw it in reverse until the idle drops below 1000rpm. If you have the traction control turned on it just locks the wheels and kills the throttle for a no win situation... and then out comes the shovels!
  10. Almost making me miss the midnight shift at Consumers Glass Brian !! .. almost..
  11. What's the new ride Bernie... and do you have the traction control turn off or on?
  12. Well Jen is on her final 24 hour stretch .. of her final week of chemo. Today marks the ONE HUNDREDTH and THIRD (103rd) day of chemo that she has endured since this all started (+ mulitple surgeries, radiation and such). On Thursday, totally out of character, her Oncologoist apparently sat in the chair across from her bed and chatted about the "weather" with Jen and Leah for a good 1/2 hour. He's still in awe as to how she's doing it... but she is! Home tomorrow... if Mother Nature will allow the travel.
  13. I stole the Lake Herring that was following her white grub... dropped a florescent green Swedish Pimple down and it attacked it!
  14. Yep.. sad to see, or in my case not to see what transpired here as I was out moving snow for 5 more hours.
  15. Rain won't do anything to the ice.. just pray it REALLY REALLY rains! We could use at least 10 days of rain and then -40c up North. Wife and I just about left my 500 Skidoo as lake structure on Sunday. 2 miles with throttle pegged to the bar to find high ground to stop and fish.. same thing back with slush banging off the back of her head rebounding off the hut behind us.
  16. Bell lines don't short out Joe.... 50 volts DC or there abouts all inside a nice multiwire cable. Unless it breaks.. no issue. Hydro lines on the other hand... ice.. = water = direct short from live to neutral and why the blue sky Joey saw before the transformers start blowing. The wires don't have to come down to lose the grid. Even on the ground the bell lines keep working.. power not so well. Why everyone should have an old direct dial phone in the drawer somewhere.. for when the power is out and bell still works but your cordless phone won't. Power out.. cell don't work either!
  17. I've been beaten once today already old ironworker.. check the Karma thread!
  18. Something definitely went wrong with your buddies wife's situation that's for sure. Almost sounds like the hospital my son was born at on Keele Street.. The current system.. I can make absolutely no complaints about other than OHIP not covering what will be my daughters 22nd x $3,000 Neulasta needle on Sunday. Beyond that I can thank the tax payers of Ontario for well over 2 million dollars so far..
  19. Piece of mechanics wire... form one end round.. the other end tweek into a slight wave. Heat red and melt it into the existing switch. Let cool and add some Krazy glue around the wire.
  20. Well thankfully Jen wanted to be back in the city for New Years and stayed there while Leah and I went North for a week. With all highways closed up here we couldn't get to the city last night. Jen had to cab it this morning to Mount Sinai for her 8am admittance. Leah was able to get out of here by about 8am.. and using some back roads was able to get to Barrie and then onto Toronto.. arriving about 11am. I'm stuck here plowing and trying to find the phone lines I severed in the blizzard Monday night. Jen passed her blood work, I'm told, and is in for the full week of 24/7 chemo... out on Sunday morning. Her last week of chemo for her lung spots!
  21. Can't wait for the 70 cent dollar to come back..
  22. Lund guys always throw in a hat... now as to what the designer was thinking....
  23. They have their purpose... and some of them very good. But please stay off the dedicated sled trails on the lake in slush, and run your own tracks off and away to the side, as the ATV on tracks make things very dangerous for someone on a sled pulling a hut. Leah could tell you all about the death grip on the side bars from Sunday... when she settles down a bit!
  24. My Verado runs flawless in negative temps while trolling for Musky in December on GBay.... if we can break enough ice to get her in the water that is. That said.. it's on my boat and quiet. If I could have got similar at the time in Yamaha I probably could have been swayed either way. My fishing buddy, with pretty much identical boat, runs a 225 Yamaha. Again it runs flawless... although he does pull it out of the lake by the end of October..
  25. Definitely bigbuck... if you have an employee hurt (or needing a knee replacement ) the employer can pay for it on their behalf. How do you think all these hockey players get repaired the next day.. and sometimes the same night?
