  1. I have the hero 2 and its a great little camera, very versatile with burst pic modes and such. fish eye can be a little aggravating at times but the quality is awesome.
  2. Some real awesome items in there. This is gonna be a great success. I hope to bid on a few and pass the word to many! Kudos to all involved especially Mike, such a great idea with an awesome community here to support it.
  3. tail looks awefully atlantic'ish to me
  4. I will always prefer cork but the foam on the new compre/crucials felt pretty nice compared to other foam handles
  5. I have been wanting to redo the console on my lund. Currently, it has a makeshift aluminum console that sits on an angle. Has anyone made a whole console from scratch? I'm not sure where to start and don't want to build off the original because of the darn angle. Also, its started to tear from lack of support and the big waves on LSC. Here's a pic of my boat. Anyone with any ideas or even an old console sitting around?
  6. When fishin' docks consider keeping it 7'6" and shorter as you can get in some tight situations where accuracy is key. 7'2 or similar sounds like it would be a good length in my opinion. I use a 7ft MH rod and sometimes want that extra length when flipping bullrushes or similar when I would like to be a little further away from the target. Shimano compre or St croix premier are both good options for around $150.
  7. spouph thats too funny!
  8. Yeah nice videos guys! I figured if I pulled hard enough it would come out haha
  9. That is a good thing to keep in mind! Luckily this has not yet occurred to myself or one of my buddies and I'll be sure to mention it next time I have the net.
  10. That would be scary, a hook in the neck! I'm just thankful I didn't get it in the eye.
  11. Im sure lots of members have had an unfortunate incident where someone ends up getting hooked! Let's hear your experiences. Here is one of mine. Below is a link to a video I made of a fishing trip last fall that went sour on the first cast. My buddy in the back of the boat got a lil overzealous, I dont fish with him anymore lol! After working the barb loose, it popped right out. The most painful part was the initial smack to the face lol.
  12. revo sx are great, mine have held up for couple years now. imagine the mgx would be pretty nice but double the price.
  13. the one male fish looks like gonzo from the muppets
  14. I have discovered the lack of power in my raven im6.. whats a good alternative without breaking the bank? I'm still new to this game but maybe if you slide the reel up a bit itl balance better.. that being said, i find it hard to tell when my setup is 'balanced'
  15. I have 2 revo sx's and everyone was raging about the 200e the past couple years so i bought one too. i really prefer the sx as mentioned previously its tight and smooth, both drag and retrieve with zero play. I have also worn the thumb bar paint off from using the sx's so much and its handled some big muskies while bass fishing with ease. Id get a st croix premier as well if you can, but I like cork.
  16. You had better luck than I today, thanks for sharing.
  17. definitely worth looking into. ive seen quite a few different species go after these kvd's rattles and silent
  18. nice fish! I've been out a couple times in the cold with nothing to show yet.
  19. Looks better than decent to me! nice gators
  20. I've went through 3 spinnerbaits in an outing just from smallies crushing them and ripping blades off so I started using terminators and then muskies started stealin them.. so I always carry close to 10 spinnerbaits haha I use a small spinner box for storage at home and a cd case on the go
  21. Camo duck tape can be found at some places. ct in lindsay has it in the hunting section. cheap, easy alternative.
  22. I had a similar occurrence while the GF and I were looking for boots at CT. We found a nice pair that fit her which happened to be the last pair on the shelf. No tags were on the boots and they had a very minor scuff. Ended up taking them to the service desk where they searched through all the records and in the end she got them for 50% off because they were deemed to be a returned item.
  23. beauties, makes me wanna get out there for another shot at one while the weather's still decent.
  24. I spent a lot of time in my lund on lsc and the kawarthas this summer and got some pbs. Starting off with the 21" smallmouth, 45" muskie, 38" pike on lsc and a 22" largemouth fishin KL. In the fall I caught a longer muskie but it was not as fat as the other I dont believe. Lately, I've been trying to get a big steelie but nothing over 5 lbs yet. Real Nice pics everyone!
  25. dont ya love it when the game plan works out! nice fish
