  1. Don't set aside the body baits. Replace rear treble with a single siwash and remove the front. Doing so really wakes these baits up and troots seem to usually eat from behind.
  2. only positive for the last two games is that both pitt and columbus have nothing to play for. neither team can move up or down in the standings and change their seed in the playoffs. hopefully they will be resting guys. last two games should be a big wake-up call as to what playoffs will be all about!
  3. ridiculous schedule washington tonight, tampa thursday, pittsburgh saturday, columbus sunday top 3 teams in the league and 1 very hungry team.
  4. sorry, bandwagon full. even on april 1st.
  5. the PD pedals are known to be flaky (although the one I have has been going for 7+ years) but I have a hard time getting used to cable steer... electric steer for this guy. i'd like to try the ipilot and features like spot lock and gps would be nice but i find, for muskie fishing at least, the PD works great. don't see a use for spot lock the way i fish and would find using a handheld device to control the boat to be awkward.
  6. It's not the size/weight of the lure that's the limiting factor, it is how much resistance in the water it has. For instance, a 4oz jerkbait is no problem on a curado, a 2 oz double 10 bladed bucktail is -- the curado just wasn't designed to handle that type of stress.
  7. best bet may be to find a farmer in the area with land.
  8. let's hope the blue jackets are hungover from clinching a playoff spot. otherwise, points will be a tall order.
  9. i am trying http://crossborderpickups.ca/this week for a few items where shipping costs to canada were ridiculous compared to shipping within the US. if anyone cares i'll update the thread.
  10. a point tonight against columbus would be huge. two would be giant!
  11. Old article. Canopy growth corp (tweed) shares are up around $12 a copy (WEED.TO [yes you can buy weed on the TSX]). Those who got in early are out like bandits
  12. Given the RE market that pad will be what 32 mil in 3 years? ?
  13. if it wasn't for the baseboards heating, i'd be all over that..
  14. looking fwd to the pitt / edm game tonight. hoping mcdavid vs crosby is a good one
  15. i remember when a regular season tie was ok. what's wrong with that? i am not a fan on 3-3 to be honest -- it's exciting to watch but let's leave it for bush leagues and preseason.
  16. That's a Lil better than the view on the 401
  17. terrible i'm surprised it wasn't a burnt out shell to be honest. good luck with the ins. company.
  18. i woulda been happy if the leafs were sellers but what do i know. 2nd round pick + froese for a 32 year old 3/4th line center who is a UFA doesn't make much sense to this armchair GM.
  19. it'd be interesting to see how some of our heroes from the past would fare with todays advances in technology. especially the composite sticks, wonder how lethal wendel's shot would be. it was a different game in the 80s/90s. wood sticks, smaller (and poorer) goalies, hack, slash and octopus (garth butcher, jamie macoun and brad marsh) hanging on to you as you tow them around the ice.
  20. no way that's the niagara lack of shopping carts, tires, human remains on the bottom is a dead giveaway. cool video for sure.
  21. when you say fishing 4 people regularly, are we talking 4 adults tossing baits.. or?? You're gonna need a bigger boat (and budget) than a typical 16-17' if that is the case.
  22. re: fwd/awd. it really depends where you live and where you need to drive we're just west of orangeville, and wife does homecare in the area -- many of her clients are rural, on often unplowed side roads/concessions not to mention their driveways -- if she can't get in, they don't get seen -- there's days when there's no way she's getting into see them in a fwd so she gets the jeep. if she could stick to hwy 9 and be in town, a fwd would likely be fine 99% of the time.
  23. Very saddened by this news Paul. Sincerest condolences.
  24. it'll be interesting to see how they address the defenseman role. not only is drafting one tough, it takes years to develop into that 1/2 role. how many drafted defensemen are ready for the big 1/2 minutes in the 1st 3 years after drafted -- i can't think of any. not like forwards anyway. look at rielly, ekblad, ryan murray, hannifin, all high draft picks that took or will take a while to get there.
