  1. 7' MH 1pc, take your pick of manufacturer. The quality will all be similar in that $ range. Find one that feels good in your hands and if possible fit the same reel as you plan on using on it in the store to get a good idea. The spinning rod I use in this class was actually a bit less.. around $60 if I remember right. It is a Daiwa Heartland "Bass" 7' MH 1pc. Personally, I dislike 2 pc rods and have no use for 6'6" or shorter rods.
  2. Yep Roy. Precisely. The fish in my avatar came unglued at the boat just as I was cranking in a DDD from the deep a few wknds back, exactly the manor fishinggeek described. It actually missed the bait, but made the mistake of showing herself. I got her on a topwater a few hours later that evening.
  3. it's fine.
  4. that's not from the fire.
  5. Don't forget Burns Tackle over there on Plains Rd by the Ikea Tony.
  6. ya, WI, home of every muskie "story" "record"ed.

I got the software last night and it's time to take a few bracketed shots. I am just wondering at the range to use? My camera will bracket up to +/- 1 in steps of ¼ . Does it "depend"? More the merrier? Or.. try it and let us know Raf.
  8. they just want nookie and are not interested in eating.
  9. Cory is far from "new" boys.
  10. So where are the mooskie pics?
  11. thanks gang!
  12. John, different Depthmaster. Cabela's housebrand rods are called Depthmasters but not what I am looking for. The folks I am interested in are local to southern ontario and build large muskie trolling lures.
  13. Thanks Lew, no luck there, I just tried Brian.
  14. the 'big bang' was much more than an explosion.
  15. Anyone have a contact e-mail, address, or phone #?
  16. thanks douG I knew I wasn't crazay. the only drawback I see with it and the other "super zoom" cams (ie. Canon S3) in its class is that the wide angle is not as wide as I'd like. With the Panasonic (I am sure the manufacturers as well), they offer an add-on wide-angle lens for a premium.
  17. a believer will get down 18' on 85' line out with braid. ernies a little deeper. there are lots of custom bait maker$ that make excellent baits that will dive deeper than 20'. not cheap usually. another option is to run wire for pike & muskie.
  18. Do you have a use for baits that dive 20-25'?
  19. No advice per se, just some inspiration
  20. Zib, I think it's the other way around. You guys on LSC run baits that are unique to your area. It's a unique fishery for sure.
  21. yup sledges work (for other guys, i don't use em)
  22. I heart my Panasonic Lumix FZ7. 12x opti zoom, image stabilization, takes SD cards. A little bulkier however. Very happy with it and I am sure you've seen the image quality. Choice #2 was a Canon S2 or S3 IS.
  23. bring a weedless presentation
  24. Nice fish, congrats on the tourney. "Listen Randy, if somebody like Alex Lifeson gives you a ____ing t-shirt to put on, you put it on"
  25. good stuff guys. i am hoping to hit pigeon a little later in the year. sure is nice this time of year though, them tourists are mostly gone!
