  1. Those look awesome!!!!
  2. I watch every boat that is coming anywhere near me, usually curse and swear under my breath like an old coot too. LOL My favourite is when there are two boats out on the lake and one has to drive within 20 yards of the other for some reason. We all have to be very careful with the increase in boat traffic on most of the southern lakes.
  3. Caught it on a large safety pin spinner bait with double stinger and twister added to it, trolled on the edge of a weed line. That's a tough fish for the group you met up with Capt. I still say that Pigeon is one of the toughest lakes in the fall. Added boat traffic just makes it tougher. I probably would have done the same thing Matty. I just can`t believe the numbers out there fishing.
  4. Got out on Saturday for a troll. Lake turned out to be very busy, but managed this 40" fish out of Pigeon Lake. The thing hit like a tank and turned out to be smaller than it pulled. Always nice to get the hit when holding the rod. I hope the lake traffic slows down soon!
  5. He can be charged for dangerous operation of a motor vehicle. What a dink! People just don't use their noggins.
  6. I think checking the jets and float pins is a good idea. I was having trouble with my 25 Yamaha one fall with the idle, so I took it apart and found a tiny piece of rubber blocking the float pin resulting in too much gas. However, try running seafoam through it before you take it apart. I am also confused that the person replacing the gaskets didn't do a thorough cleaning job while he had the carbs off. Maybe he didn't install the gaskets properly????
  7. They haven't changed the name of the Thread yet?????? LOL
  8. Got out yesterday on a small lake I never tried before. Caught a few bass and a surprise walleye. The morning bite was very good and even had a double header. We used various baits from wacky rig, to flipping jig, to twister, to drop shot. The wacky caught the most, but the flipping jig caught the largest. The walleye happened to be caught on the drop shot. A great day to be on he water in September, but a little tough on the fishing once the sun got up there! That's my buddy Jack holding the double header. Not huge but always exciting.
  9. Change the name of the thread to "Muskymatt Hates the Leafs"
  10. You always know what you're going to get from Komarov and Bernier. It's the rest of the team that you never know what you're going to get night in night out. Kadri needs the consistency to make me a believer. I'm ready for the parade! LOL
  11. What a crazy weekend to be fishing in a tournament. Hope everyone was safe.
  12. Tough time of the year for fishing those lakes. Stay close to milfoil and use twisters, wacky rigs, flipping jigs right into the thickest part of the weeds or a texas rigged worm.
  13. I'm getting sick of the TO media. They try to create crap out of nothing. The front page of the sports section in the Sun today says it all. Why the heck would they run something like that. They are the kettle calling the kettle black, what a circus the media industry has become.
  14. Well done Pete. Congratulations on breaking the 50" barrier. I'm still waiting.
  15. I have never seen so much transference from a fan of another team. You (muskymatt) must really be down on the sens if you attack the leafs with so much anger. LOL
  16. Nice fish. I agree 20-25lbs.
  17. Wow, I never saw smallies like that when I was there. Great catch. I still believe that the clarity of the waters in Haliburton has an impact on walleye success.
  18. I wouldn't want to see this done to any fish that will put up a fight on the end of my line. Asian carp aside, but we could avoid wasting them also.
  19. Aren't sea run rainbows and specks the same as the fresh water ones, just adapted to salt water? Have you seen the salmon they catch in Australia? They don't look like salmon.
  20. He said he doesn't know why he did it. LOL He will get his ticket and pay it, then do the same thing, just making sure no one sees him next time. That was just too blatant to say he has never done that kind of thing. He won't change; his tone of voice says it all.
  21. Do you still see walleye being weighed in during that tournament?
  22. I've been with the same lady for 34 years and I was being sarcastic about the other gift. LOL However, I was serious about the adventure of finding the fish on my own and using the $450 to buy fishing tackle. One day, three days, a week, I like the challenge and the reward. You will have a blast either way; Nipissing has so much potential.
  23. I personally avoid guides. Not that they aren't great and knowledgeable. I just like the hunt to find them myself. I get far more satisfaction out of figuring them out after putting in the hours. Danny sounds like the guide to go with if you are going in that direction though. I would ask my wife for a different kind of gift. LOL I can do a lot with $450.
  24. I doubt the sens are going anywhere this year.
