So here is a question for you: I haven’t really posted to much to be honest I have a few pictures of last summer but my main goal last year was to put some bike rubber on the road I have always been a dirt rider since childhood but never a road rider something just kept me off anyway as a mature adult I figured I’d give the road a try (years of wisdom) took the bike course and bought a bike and got on with it. Well after 15000km on the beastie things fell into place(big Jim and the twins) and I really really like it so I bought another bike more to my liking actually it’s the first road bike I ever rode many moons ago So here is the question I cant see this year being any different then last in terms of fishing(my poor boat has got a complex). I would like to get to Lakair this year come up on Friday pitch the tent and have a few coolies I wont be bringing a boat and will be traveling light fishing rod and some baits who is going to take me out in their boat for the tournament I will be leaving Saturday after the chow down or maybe leave Sunday morning depends on the coolant level. My opinion if your handy redo them. over time you can wear the fit for a seal and they will leak by its not a big deal they will likely look good when you look at them but once they are spinning at road speed it changes if you replace the bearings and I say this as a millwright dont buy Chinese bearings still not at the quality level of North America or Europe they are cheaper for a reason bearing buddies and a good water/high pressure grease.With bearing buddies if you notice the plate drop a inch or more a year you likely have seal issues the grease has to go somwhere and it will be out the seal just watch the plate and once a year pop the cap off and make sure that the grease looks good and hasent got alot of water in the spaces in the grease if yes scoop it out put the cap back on and pump it up as long as there is grease in the buddies and nothing impedes the travel of the plunger it will do its job out of all the jobs you may attempt on a boat this ranks up there on the beginner level. just my 2 cents Peter

Good Morning All Well we have been out almost every weekend since deer opener with the bows and have seen tons of deer we don’t use cameras and don’t write anything down. Just use the Mark180 eyeball and our pumpkins its always been this way. As far as scent hiding we don’t bother, tried it for a couple of years and found it didn’t matter I smoke on the ground and they will walk within feet of me. I think the scent hiding is a scam, and we hunt urban deer anyway it might work better for the northern guys. anyway all the deer this year so far have just been out of bow range and we wont take cheap shots. Some very nice bucks in the area with some serious size does. We knew that soon as the shottie time came it was going to be game over. I’m sitting having a smoke Tuesday just as the sun was making light, I was making some seductive sounds with the bleater. We were set up in a pattern that we observed to be main transits all of a sudden I could hear swishing in the bush behind me and knew that it was traveling one of the paths toward doom about 15 mins later and Pow a nice 10 pointer. We were done by 0830 2 tags left to go it was a good day and Pointed was very happy. We are setting up now on his big brother and I kid you not he has to be at least 16 points and pushing 300 but who am I kidding I will shoot the first deer that walks out if its him all the better That’s my report and im sticking to it Peter
