Yup Been there twice. First my Moms Death, as her eldest son I was named the executor to her will. She didnt have much but my outcast sister started causing trouble by first saying the will was not legal as it was not notarized. Mom bought the kit from your friendly TV commercial. Well to make a long story short. I HAD TO PAY FOR A LAWYER TO PROTECT HER WRITTEN WISHES, as SIS wanted to contest the will. As far as Dad, he never named an Executor, no problem the family agreed it should be me and were happy. But the problem was is with the bank and government. I just did not want to see the bank take Pops money for themselves. Again not much, but, the family could of used what little he had. Bottom Line...Notarize it, and name a trusty executor. One of my all time fishing lakes is Wolf Lake. A couple of hours from Edmonton. Its a trophy lake and easy to get to and launch a boat. Theres the Provincial park and thats it. NOBODY OWNS ANY SHORELINE. The lake is between Cold lake and Lac LaBiche. Another fantastic fishery. The only problem is you cant keep the Walleye as most lakes are Catch and release for that fishery. Whats good is the walleye are allowed to grow big. You have a good chance to catch a 25lb plus Jack also. Tell him to check the Fishing Alberta website. Also the forum, excellent forum. Just thought that Id mention is the housing in Saskatchewan is crazy because Albertans are buying because its so expensive there. 13 dollars an hour in Lloydminster to start at Timmies.

Walleye can be caught at the Short Turn. Live minnows is key. At dusk or night, fish rapalas in the Petawawa where it meets the Ottawa. If your buddie is in the service ask him if he can get through Range Control and fish Montgomery Lake. Huge Musky. Otherwise try to get in from Algonquin Park. You just need to be 30 meters inside the training area to find the Muskey hole. Where Montgomery and Mc Manus Lakes meet through the narrows

I know this question has been asked before, maybe someone can Archive. I need to purchase another battery to start my Honda 15 Hp, run a small trolling moter and fishfinder. Im not a rich man, so for the money whats a bargain. Im in Sask so Bass Pro is out of the question. How is the Walmart Energizer or CT Nautilus. Are there others to consider? Thanks for your input.

If the power goes out sump is useless. I was wondering what would be a good alternative to keep the pump kicking in . Besides a generater would a Battery power pack be any good and for how long. Also what wattage as a minimum. We maybe awaiting a storm and my pump is still working from Sundays storm. Thanks

Yup, for the price your looking, hands down the Ugly stick, Berkly Lightning and Cherrywood. Anything else is too cheap or expensive. You might find a good ABU Garcia, but their getting expensive and cheap. Pick the rod up by the tip and see what happens. ( Be careful that nobody sees ya) The Berkleys and Ugly stick wont break.

I was taught to always slow down to pers fishing or paddling, swimming etc. Also to keep my distance to other boaters. Channel or no channel. There is just too many stupid, ignorant, and its me , myself and I attitudes. This is a no brainer thread. Common courtesy should prevail. Yea last week I was trolling in a meandering river between 2 lakes and this Idiot cut my line not even looking or slowing down. Could of ran me over if I was in a canoe.

Never tried Power Pro only Spiderwire and Fireline. My first was Spider Wire and I was going back to Mono. I found it shredded and would not tighten on the spool. Then I tried Fire Line and now Im converted. Ive had it spooled for three years on my Spinning Reel. I use it for trolling Musky and Pike. Casts good also.

I am all Canadian, But watching our National sport go to the dumps make me mad. There is too much politics and bleeding hearts that have infiltrated this place and hockey is one of them. People are crying about the fights, the aggression and lack of goals. So the league decides to penalize everything, just like the European leagues. ( Reminds me of Pickup games) My favorite team the Mtl Canadians, have gone European. They play like Europeans. Their Captain is European. Ive seen some horrible Trades and draft pick go for Europeans or that possible popular Franco. Most of are Canadian teams are employing more Europeans than ever. It must be because they're cheaper is the only thing I could think of. Now the Sens, They play like Europeans, Act like Europeans. And Alfred son has no Business being the Captain of any team. He even skated away from Niedermeyer after that stupid episode. What kind of Garbage is that we are now watching. The Sens are useless if they aren't on the power-play or if there is hitting. Have you ever been to Ottawa. Reminds me too much like Quebec, horrible drivers and the fans would jump ship for Mtl if they would ever have a hope in @@3334 of making the cup. A couple of tips here 1. Bring a light tarp to Rain proof tent and as a Sun Shade ( Most tents will Leak) 2. Lots of Water (you'll be miserable if you have to conserve) 3. Bug jacket and lots of Repellent. ( Can easily ruin Camping if not prepared) 4 Bow saw is better than axe, and safer ( You don't need a huge Bonfire) 5. Head lamp is great for nite ( Leave it on your head you wont need to look for it) 6. Spinners and small plugs for fishing and if you use live bait worms work well. ( small is better) 7. Garbage bags to haul your garbage out, use as light Rain Gear, waterproof fire wood, sleeping bag and cloths. ( Nothing worse than wet clothes and living in garbage, Only if your bored you can PU other peoples trash (Pigs) Have fun

Went out 5 minutes from hear and shore fished the N Sask River. Not a bite but shot the hoot with a boat that came in where I was shore fishing and the locals said they caught 15 pickeral and one sturgeon. Showed me a pic of a 30 lb, At least I have hope. Just moved hear last Aug testing the waters.
