  1. Lets go under dogs. Go riders Go
  2. I also wish condolences to the friends and families of our most recent casualties of war against an unjust and barbaric people called the Taliban. If you don't believe me just download beheading or Hostages next time you download a video from bearshare. Danbo just for you Id like to enlighten you a wee bit. One thing is I believe Lew is a Vet and he has sacrificed his time as well as a others that are members of OFC so we can make this place a safer one or clean up some other countries War. Personally myself clearing Mines and Unexploded Ordnance's for our own Soldiers as well as the war torn populations. In my case Kuwait, Iraq, Bosnia, Croatia, as well as Macedonia. Not once did I ask myself why I was there. I did my job no matter how Dangerous in the name of this country that so many people are willing to hide behind our flag but quick to criticize our motives. We are apart of an ALLIANCE called NATO. NATO is involved in AFGHANISTAN at the Request of the Afghan Government and UN. I would be ashamed of this Country if we did not do our part. How can anybody ever step on American or British Soil if we did not do our part. I would not even be able to look at an American or Brit or any other NATO nation in the eye without feeling like a Coward. Iraq and Afghanistan are two different wars as far as the federal Government is concerned. If we were puppets we would also be fighting in Iraq, however our/your government said no because they knew that it would not be right if it wasn't sanctioned by the UN. Personally I think that Canada should not do any more soldiering for the UN because It didnt work in Rwanda, Former Yugoslavia, Somalia just to name a few. Yugo is at relative peace only because of NATO. Now as far as the Links, why don't you find something more positive especially when this thread was a condolence for our country men, especially Quebecers who volunteered their lives so our critics can sit on their Fat Butts and enjoy Canadian life, because if you seen what I seen, you would shut your mouth and cry or at least think about our people that are Brave and showing the other Countries and Army's on how brave we are and that we deserve the country that we have been blessed with. As far as pulling out of Afghanistan, where I come from, only losers quit before the job is done or the going gets rough. Lets not all of us hide behind the skirts of our woman. Id like to point out one thing that really saddens me so far. Why are so many Medics getting Killed or Maimed? Are they getting targeted specifically? If not its an uncanny coincidence
  3. Sorryu better link http://www.triadtwcable.com/custserv/hookups.htm
  4. http://www.triadtwcable.com/custserv/user-...heater_HDTV.pdf read your TV and home theatre instructions. Use the link as another aid. Double check your hookups. Now the important part. In your TV Menu you have to set it up for DTS or Digital or HD. The same with your home theatre. READ and WORK the TV and Home theatre MENUs
  5. Oh I forgot. Down there its first come that gets the best spots. No reserving spots. So if your not there at O DARK THIRTY. You get to fish downstream after the fish by passes hundreds of baits
  6. Been there, Done that. Yup BC is Crazy. I fished the Vedder River in Chiliwack a few times and as big or long as it is, word gets out pretty fast. All the tackle shops will give the Int on which hole to fish. Especially the worlds most famous small tackle shop called Helmers. I HATE STREAM FISHING BECAUSE OF THE WAY IT IS FISHED THERE. I seen a great fist fight across from where I was standing ( I was on DND Property). A Guy caught a beauty salmon as he brought it up on the bank someone took his spot. The fight was on. Two big boys fighting and it was nasty. When I did fish a hole, I usually ended up fishing down stream. But a missed cast and a cross line or two brought a lot of commotion. Now that's what I know about stream fishing. As far as edicate ask a BC fisherman. Don't cross lines, if someone hooks a fish immediately, I say immediately bring your line in till Buddie's fish is landed. And don't step on Buddies feet, but don't take his spot till he leaves otherwise it could get physical. Its all public property. That's what I learned in BC. I'm sure around GTA, its going to get crowded sooner or later. If you don't like it, move on....
  7. Remember that the Russians got their aaaaasssses kicked over there. So for Morale purposes, Theres alot at stake. I say ata boys. SOLDIER ON
  8. Nice Catch
  9. Dark Jointed floating Rapala, Size depending on Species. Fishing in snags and weeds, it has the best chance for not hooking up. Great Trolling lure. Oh you want to fish deep, or cast farther add a sinker. Does not twist my line. Only one problem. You have to bring extra trebles to replace the broken ones from the predetor fish strikes. As far as Carp fishing, as useless as teats on a Bull. Then again, Carp is not a sport fish as it is a transplanted mistake.
  10. Umm Agree, then he might of ended up with the leafs instead of SunBeam. I wonder how he would of done then HEALTHY
  11. I agree 100%. Im sick and tired of getting the short end of the stick too. I havent shopped in the states lately, but when you actually go to a store, and take advantage of their Sales. Its a huge savings. Were getting ripped off right to the end from our own people. For example Cards and Magazines are now covering American prices. But it sounds like that Cabalas is luring us Canadians for their Prices. Oh by the way. Out here I heard an advertisement from a car dealer where hell look and get a car from the states for a fee. Another Gimmick.
  12. Not sure if that was before or after the hithttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_t_d6Y6JKCU http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xlVcYstFVHs&NR=1 I think he earned his money more than most
  13. Just checking on his stats and the arguments here so far, I think I would agree with the Minority and say yes, he should be in the Hall of Fame. But like a lot of things it seems, if politics are involved, Id say he has no chance. I'm not a Toronto Fan, so he never disappointed me as I am, or was a Habs Fan and all I know is how he totally dominated and set the pace in the World Juniors and NHL. As a Team sport Id say he was one quarter of that team. Four lines, His Line had the opposition hiding. When Philly played Mtl his line Made Mtls Line look like Team France if you know what I mean. In his short NHL Career He Had more points than games. Yes and he is a two way player no doubt about it. As far as playing with Quebec, If I had a choice I wouldn't of want to. As far as Clarke, It seems to me it all started when he had a concussion and he was forced to play that started the problems. As far as playing for TO, Just like Mtl when they traded Chelios for Savard a bad move. Blame the Management not the player as they are hoping to get a cheap washed out super star. Here's a link to his stats. If Neely is in the Hall of Fame, Lindros should be http://www.hockeydb.com/ihdb/players/data08/00003158.html
  14. Irishfield, or someone that has the video called "Pittancein of time" I would as well as other Military Vets would be grateful if you can re-thread as it was a wonderful Remembrance Video and song. Thanks Rob
  15. Heard this morning that Lindros is Retiring. The Radio announcer stated that Bob Clarke of all people said that he should be in the Hall of Fame. I know he's been an impact player and has had what? eight concussions. I enjoyed watching him play in his early days especially the World Juniors and wished that he would of played for MTL. But a Hall of famer? whats your take?
  16. Apparently in this case the wolves were feeding at an unregulated dump. Kind of lost its fear of man. Sort of reminds me of bears. Whats really astonishing about this case is that it took an inquiry 2 years to find that it was a wolf kill vice bear which SERM was indicating. Untill I heard this story on the talk show I would of argued that there was no cases of wolves killing let alone feeding on a human being. I guess there must of been alot at stake to take this long to finally admit of what happened.
  17. http://www.cbc.ca/canada/saskatchewan/stor...ct.html?ref=rss Well it took 2 years finally for the truth to come out. Listening to a talk show today, with the father of the young man that was eaten I learned some interesting facts. The next day he was found and the RCMP said that it was most likely wolves that killed and eaten him (only 60lbs was left) because of the tracks and the wolf sightings. A Native elder was also on sight and she also believed it was a wolf attack. But here's where the controversy comes in. The Government of Sask (SERM) with all their intelligent thinking sent out Paul Paquet to investigate on behalf of Saskatchewan Environmental and Resource Management. He is a Wolf Expert, Environmentalist, as well as a David Suzuki Quest or mentor. So he says that it is a Bear attack as there is no way wolves would harm humans. To make a long story short despite contrary evidence that was the governments findings. The family knew those were not the facts and going through legal battles finally it went to court. Why would the government and Paquet say it was a bear? ( he still doesn't believe in the Juries findings). These wolves got used to man because of a dump that was not fenced. Maybe Paquet does not want or believes that his cute little wolves will kill man. He definitely doesn't want man to think wolves can be dangerous so they should be managed, maybe even killed. He might be like the husband and wife who collect and sniff wolf scat in Algonquin Park. A WOLF PROTECTIONEST. There maybe other issues too. Whats interesting though is that 2 wolves were shot and examined from the pack and was found to have digested Human Hair. No bears in the woods in November that far North because their Hibernating. Of course the evidence on the ground wolf tracks, no bear tracks. One interesting point. A Retired RCMP called the talk show and stated that he was posted in Northern BC and came a cross a hunter/trapper who told him. When he hunts wolves he will crawl and role on the ground to attract wolves as if he is wounded. Apparently the caller stated that he had plenty of pelts to prove that it works
  18. All I know is that around here there is an incredible housing boom in North Battleford. Expensive new houses are being built along the dumps but guess what. These dumps are getting shingles, siding, new windows and now they are 400 percent more in value despite the problems of the city infrastructure. IE sewage and storm drains that are archaic . People are flipping 20,000 dollar dumps to 120,000 and rising. And now, your typical rental trash are now moving to the dark side of town. Property taxes are also hitting the roof. Sad but true.
  19. For a second I thought they were closing to lower prices. You know, since we're at a dollar seven above par. I know its a great store, but how about giving back what us customers gave to.
  20. Whats wrong with Kenora
  21. Lew, I know exactly how you feel. There is something that is unique and different that bonds former military personal that only we can understand. Like you, my Dad was former sailor who served 5 years in the early mid 50s mostly aboard mine sweepers. He recently passed away last April and I will miss his stories dearly. You would think he had served so much longer, there was something that those 5 years was so special to him. He ended up being my Buds after years of no contact. Its so Ironic as he always thought about a friend ( Shipmate)of his and ended up contacting him and actually meeting him. My dad and I ended getting along after I had written him when I was in Iraq due to the first Gulf war. I actually moved him to be closer to my family in Petawawa. But Alas I had to move out West as a posting and left him basically Alone. Well there was one thing that we were able to do, Thanks to my Commanding Officer. He suggested that we would have a Mess diner inviting our Dads as the quests. As you may know this is such a formal affair that included the March Pasts for the Soldiers attending. It so happened that myCOs Dad was also Navy and there was a problem of what the Navy toast was. Seems what my Dad remembers is not politically correct in today's society. Lew he was in his glory especially talking to the COs Dad about the Bars and Fights I think what was called Barrington street Halifax. It seems that both the hairy dogs as they liked to call themselves were your performers so to speak while serving. Definitely not officer material. Sadly, the COs Dad passed away 2 Days after the Dinner. It was a unique experience that my Dad and I will never forget. Thanks for the post
