Just bought a Berkly Gorilla rod for 19 bucks vice 39, but couldnt keep my eye off the Shimanoo signature $39 vice $79. The Berkley will do fine with my Mitchell 300

Here we go with the Racist comment that some people use Too Often. For one thing most , if not all those points are TRUE like it or not. Less trolling, more casting I guess

Im sitting on the can, Germany at the Kaserne (Canadian Forces Shopping Centre) when I hear this voice getting louder and louder as he entered the bathroom. All he kept repeating was YES DEAR, NO Dear, YES DEAR, NO DEAR. Then he faded away as he left. I thought to myself, Wow someone here is a head case. So I finished up and rejoined my wife at the shopping centre when we got caught up at a commotion just as we entered the store. Here was this guy, with the same voice and loud, telling all the shoppers, that his wife was buying up the whole store and for them to hurry other wise there will be nothing left to buy. I shook my head and told my wife that he had some issues. The next day I'm at my first Role Call and then was introduced to my Sgt, and you guessed it, same nut bar.

Two shows come to mind for me. Both are my favorites. My all time favorite is Rod and Reel streamside. The host Don Meissner would fish from a canoe to a small outboard. There was never any trick photography with a 2 lb Bass right at the lens making it look like 10 lbs. But the best part, Never, Never did he over promote one of his sponsors. He must of filmed over a hundred shows with his squeaky Daiwa SS 700. A good teacher always without the expensive gimmicks. His best shows were fly fishing for pike and bass fishing in Lake Champlain. Same goes for the Alberta fishing show. No Gimmicks, no expensive gear, Drive to Lakes, and no Wacky guests, and no promotions over and over and over, and over. For example that guy that over promotes Acuma, ST Croix Rods, Fluorocarbon. Can you guess who he is?

Yup, I agree 100% with what Bassman has to say. I got no personal ties with that show, and all All I can tell ya its almost as bad as the Dimestore Idiots but at least their jokes arent half as bad. I havent watched it for a while Thanks to the that new host who has to go. Its too bad because at one time they fished waters not too far from where I lived and that Fishing Cull show in NorthBay was awesome to watch. Sadly I now rate them just above the Dimestore Morons, The Rod and Reel, Shellys and Courtneys Horror Show.

Well its starting again. The biggest refinery out West and the Second biggest in Canada, Esso, cannot meet demands as thy are experiencing Technical problems the News reported today. Esso stations in Calgary have begun to run out. The Radio station petroleum supposed expert, says that Esso is keeping whatever the problem is a secret. Here we go with price increases AGAIN. Hallelujah

Yea and who is profiting by billions a year. Here is the little part of the scoop here. Ill give you an example, Husky wants a profit. So they call in a rig, nothing less than 5,000 an hour to operate, rig needs water calls truck in, 500 an hour. Oil company now wants a truck to haul the oil, thousands per load, Oil Well is sanded up, now they need a service rig to clear the tube, 5,000 an hour. Ok , my prices may not be accurate but my point is. Any servicing for the oil companies are costing them big time, but the oil companies are paying them for whatever they want and just add it on the price per barrel and of course also they're piece of the pie. I heard a Rumour that Albertan oil companies were getting ticked by the huge service fees and figured they were going to go into Saskatchewan because it was cheaper. They will, but they will still profit in Alberta. Oil is like Gold, Like the Gold Rush, you have to pay like its Gold. I just think that if there was any kind of control, the prices wouldn't be as high, change a dime a litre at a time, go up when a yardbird predicts a storm and any other bull crap excuse. So take your school economics and use some common sense. We are being Gouged.

So here I was at a gas station after filling up, and after shopping for some snacks I went to the counter and totally forgot that I had filled up. About 10 minutes later on the Highway, realized that I had accidently stole some gas. Common sense told me to go back and pay for the gas, but the Gazoo in my head said too sad too bad. It still bugs me to this day, if you can believe that. What would of you done in that situation fellas? Dont worry I wont judge ya

There is another nice Canoe route if you go through the Sand lake Gate, Its mostly short flat portages. Start at Achray(Grand Lake) go across and make your way to Caracjou Lake. Ive only gone as far as Caracajou and then returned. If you take your time and troll the lakes itll take you 2 days. I wouldnt waste my time trolling till you get to Little Caracjou. Worm and beaded spinner(Wedding Band) would be my choice. Worm and small sinker in the streams. You can rent a cabin on Wenda Lake. Not sure if they lock it now but last time I was there it was opened and there was guestbook type journal that had some interesting reading. You can also cross Grandl ake and take a long steep portage straight into Wenda, itll save you time but took me a trip with pack, then again to pick up the Canoe. You can also rent a canoe which is part of the package at the old Ranger Cabin on Wenda.

To tell you the truth- I think Mtl owes me alot. Because Im looking from the outside to the inside. In other words, Im not stuck on an Island. I SEE EVERYTHING

Yup, they must of changed the name again. Achray, Barron Canyon or whatever is one main road that goes through Sand lake Gate, Most of us call it the east gate since its East. Just a tip, the Baron River for some reason does not have the quality and Quantity of fish as the Petawawa River. It could be because there is heavier fishing pressure at the Black Bay Area historically. If you want Brookies, there is a stream(Travers Cr) that runs Parallel to the road and RR Tracks and the fishing holes are just before you get to the Observatory. What I did was waded downstream from a washed out bridge that once crossed the stream
