  1. have to add the stratos excursion series. fiberglass boats that way nothing, couldn't hurt to check the website. dt powersports in ontario sells them.
  2. the only difference between a natural gas bbq and propane are the size of the orifices. the 'home expert' can switch in one direction by drilling out the orifices to a larger size, and back by banging the orifice closed with a ballpien hammer and then drilling a smaller hole. and of course compatiblilty with the cylinder. however i certainly wouldn't suggest you do this.....
  3. i've run a zilliion different two strokes and have never seen a discharge like that. no idea what it is but it can't be normal. look at the thick soup in the barrel. if all two strokes ran like that you'd be getting chased by the sea shepherd!!!
  4. the two coreys lived about 100 years in 10 minutes after their run of hit movies. Probably had one hell of a time! life is about choices, i believe is what we were saying....
  5. i like to keep my braid for a few years and i find reversing it gets me line that has never seen the light of day.
  6. toyota tacoma same issue, was a technical bulletin in canada. extra leaf solves the problem (toyota also added shocks and alignment). shocks will not alleviate the problem, even though they might need replacing at the ten year mark. 200 bones to add a leaf to each side, i can give you the name of a spring shop if you are in the hamilton area.
  7. i'm going to spend 900 dollars on whiskey cigarettes and women. i'll probably just waste the rest.
  8. radnine you're not overreacting at all. excellent reply. if the guy isn't trying to say you're a moron for going with bathfitters than why quote you? i'm sure you could have taken a shot at bathfitters without quoting someone? i guess the thousands of bathfitter customers are all idiots for not going with some no name guy that might or not be around for warranty repair or have any insurance, or have a contractors lisence, or pay all his incometax, etc.
  9. do your neighbours dump in your yard? great lookin spot looking to do the same have to stay a little closer as im on the other end of the 30 year run. congrats.
  10. i dont disagree with anything anyone has said on this thread but it is a shame i have to sort thru so many lectures to get to actual comments and worthwhile additions to the original thread. we had a local guy go missing on a fishing trip last year. just a big mystery, all searches turned up nothing. it was months i beleive until he was found, deceased im afraid, these incidents are usually classed death by misadventure. sometimes you bite off more than you can chew, and like some people have said, sometimes you just get bit.
  11. i cant wait to see it. quite a different vacation than bikinis and margaritas in the sunny carribean...
  12. ive always wondered why i never catch bass in the winter. when i fish for perch or walleye or pike on softwater i catch tons of bass. when i ice fish for these species thru the ice i never catch any bass. come to think of it i never catch any perch pike or walleye thru the ice either...
  13. sedona is the best reel out there for the money. sometimes i think i like them better than my stradics. there is a dude on ebay that sells spools for .99 with about six bucks shippping, and no one seems to bid so you are likely to win. cant speak for the daiwa but you cant go wrong with the shimano. with spinning reels i think it is very possible to get a great reel in this price range.
  14. maybe it was miller's astounding performance that made broduer's look so poor, but there wasn't alot of understanding folks in the group i watched with. what was with his stick between his legs in the fourth goal? never seen that before. and by the way its our right as canadians and as sports fans to carp and moan about our athletes. that is what the post is about is it not?
  15. ropes deploy well from a rope bag as long as they are stuffed randomly into the bag. using a mesh bag will allow for some chance for the rope to dry, as we all know ropes suffer from mildew and rot. synthetic double braids are pretty resistant. i wash and hang my ropes regularly and they last forever. just for interest wash your ropes with mild detergent in the washing machine. "daisy chain" the rope to avoid tangling. if you find a mesh bag you like you can just hang the bag up every now and then. good luck.
  16. i have a 2 bank minn kota for my 24v trolling motor batteries. my main motor battery gives me low voltage signals after a day of fishing, so i would say their 3 bank would be helpful . the minn kota is a smart charger that knows when to deliver high amperage charges, trickle charges and maintenance charges. will maintain your batteries in the winter as well if you leave it plugged in.
  17. ebay my friend. check under freshwater fishing/rods and reels/reels/ and start looking. i bought 2 spools for my sedonas for .99 plus shipping. hope you can find saharas.
  18. my understanding is it is not. the family dog is considered a 'companion animal', and its treatment is different than that of 'livestock' - which is a commodity with essentially no rights. not out of any law book i'm afraid, just my recollection of a previous discussion. it is legal to do all kinds of things to cows and pigs that would be considered inhumane to our pets, including slaughter and consumption. sorry to hear about yer pooch.
  19. im a shimano guy and i like the curado. i did pick up some quantum accurist low profile reels last year and i like them just fine for half the price. they are losing their finish rather quickly, but at 100$ i would buy again. it is hard to pick baitcasters in the store, you really need to use them as opposed to handle them to get a good feel. good luck
  20. is the tongue weight causing a problem? too much is better than too little. but if your vehicle doesn't like it than moving the axles is certainly the way to go. if it is a well fitting trailer you'd hate to mess with the bunks. tandem axles are easier to guess the balance point as the equalizer between the axles is level when the trailer is level. we usually set axles at balance point - 10" depending on the boat/engine configure. try about 4" forward should make the difference you are looking for. the axles move surprisingly easy once unloaded. knock the ubolts forward with a hammer after loosening and the axle assembly wants to follow. good luck!
  21. i know we are supposed to love all of god's creatures..... but is that fish too ugly to live or too ugly to kill???
  22. you can keep things clean by putting a terminal block in and wiring your electronics from there. i imagine for a boat that size your trolling motor will be 12V, and a decent deep cycle will run everything for hours. in line fuses are a must, light guage wiring can burn up in no time with shorts and such. good luck.
  23. hope for the best and plan for the worst. some days you could get a nuclear bomb over the border some days you can't get a cigarette lighter across. your son can be denied entry, and should be prepared to turn around without effecting the rest of the group. cross your fingers and go for it. act really nervous and shifty at the border maybe they'll pay more attention to you???? as a side note if every answered questions like irishfield - great effort!
  24. i have done awful things to all my cars and motorcycles and small engines in the past without failures. in fact, after a dozen bikes and 15 or so cars and trucks i have never had any kind of engine failure (catastrophic inside the block/heads kind of thing). i'm a lot better on my equipment now. but i'm not sure why. every 300,000 km wreck i've taken to the scrapyard was running fine, just banged up and rusty. most didn't have any oil in 'em! to totally change tune i winterize and oil change everything regularly now ( alittle more time an money these days). i use regular oil and don't feel too guilty about it - it meets all OEM specs and that's good enough for me. synthetic and blended oils are most likely better - i beleive in progress and research and technology. scores of egghead scientists didn't come up with synthetic oil on a bet you know. my question would be i've got a fairly new 115hp that has always had regular oil, i've heard, perhaps a myth, that switching back and forth is bad?
  25. i'll say i've had my share of trouble there, not out of stocks or prices but arrogant that think they invented fishing and anyone without a shimano hat is just some idiot with a hook and a worm. however, as of late, within the year i've had fantastic service, with guys going out of their way to find a way to save me money, swinging fishing show prices and knocking off tax and such. i'd suggest talking to blake if he is still there, this guy has always treated me well.
