  1. Sounds like a great night out and congrats on the PB. Keep the reports coming.
  2. Great report and looks like an awesome trip. Thanks for the pics and report.
  3. Happy belated Rich. Looks like a great way to spend the birthday. Hope you had a good one. Mike
  4. Lake trout and bass are the only fish found in the lake. I used to fish between the 20 and 40 ft mark and catch them there. It's not really a deep lake and minnows worked best for me. Good Luck
  5. BPS wasn't carrying them in the spring when I needed a few. I bought mine at JB's and the prices where just as good. JB's is one of the few places in the Toronto area that keeps stock on hand in most models.
  6. Great shots. Would have been something to see in person. I bet thats a costly job.
  7. Welcome to the board and nice pics. Interesting seeing the different fish being caught.
  8. 1) Favorite color walleye grub. EX. black head/yellow tail? Mine: Black head and yellow or white tail 3 inch 2) Color you never caught any walleye on or dislike? Mine: Never caught anything on a natural colour like pumpkin seed 3) Do you prefer a standard mister twister type grub, or a mister twister shassy shad? Mine: I perfer the standard mister twister type This set up is my most used bait for all types of fishing. I still perfer to use a regular twister tail and add my own scent by either tipping it with a minnow or worm.
  9. All the best to Jack and I hope he survives the stay in Peterborough and has a great recovery.
  10. Congrats Mike to you and your family.
  11. Very Nice, Congrats and Enjoy.
  12. Great job on the report Moose. Thanks for all the great pics as well.
  13. Thanks for the info. I'm going to check it out as well.
  14. I still play the game a couple of times a week. Mostly just for fun in a couple of beer leagues, but 4 times a year I do tournaments and those are the days I feel my age. Sometimes up to 3 games a day and the body is not used to that. I think the biggest bit of advice I have for older guys playing the game is to get into a good bit of stretching before the game. Might save alot of pain afterwards.
  15. Monty unfortunitly there's not much activity on this board for that part of the country. Seems most of us are from the southern parts of Ontario. If you try this link out it's to a site run by one of the members here(Mahumba) and lots of info on North Western Ontario can be found there. Click Here Good Luck with it
  16. Great fish. Congrats

  18. Nice fish. Congrats amd be careful out there.
  19. Sorry to hear about the loss of a great friend Mike.
  20. Yup you got us good the other night Marty. Going to be an exciting fooseball game this weekend. Jags are looking strong, not sure how this one will go. Best of luck to your team though. As my eagles will be the same place as myself watching the game.........at home. Mike
  21. Ron and I tagged up yesterday for a day of perching. We had nonstop action from 8-3. The sonar was a blurr of action with fish in an all day feeding pattern. Fish were on the bite in depths from 19 to 36 ft. Rough guess for the day was over 200 fish caught and few kept for a meal for each of us at the end of the day. Fish were ranging from 6 inches to 11 inches with most being good solid fish. Small bright green jigs tipped with scented tails was the hot bait for the day. Going to be a dynamite weekend of fishing for those able to get out there. Good Luck if you go.
  22. Congrats Derek. Was a great day to be on the water yesterday.
  23. Couple nice fish. Welcome to the site and what part of the country are you from?
  24. Thanks for the report David. I've got some time off in the next few weeks and was hoping to get down there fishing so I'm hoping the upcoming warm weather doesn't mess things up. Keep the reports coming.
