Good on yah.I'm trying to do the same so its good to hear from someone who has been able to do it. Thank you for posting.

The bay is actually cleaner now than it has been in any of our life times. The mercury that is in the fish now was in the water years ago.Mercury is a heavy metal and never goes away.It can be dilouted or concentrated but it will always be around. So my advice to all who fish the bay and don't trust the consumption guides facts, let them all go and leave them for me

Would love to be in your tourny but thats opening weekend for ducks.Next year the weekend before or after and I'll be in for sure.Good luck to all.

Wow how hard did he hit it? To dent a Lund bad enough it has to be fixed with something other than paint or a sticker he must have hit hard. Good thing he bought a Lund and not a fiberglass boat!

Congratulations to all and that sure is a cool trophy Sydney! .Way to go!

Sounds and looks like a great weekend lew. Those eagles are a spectacular bird.I saw one in on Lingham lake 2 years ago while fishing alone.Everybody at the campsite thought I was nuts till the next day when it flew over our campsite! Great pics.

I have the 50 as well.Although its not the best unit on the market it will mark fish and bait balls.I run mine in manual mood and set the sensitivity as high as I can.Usally 95-100%.I turn it up till it is unreadable then back it off about 3% so there is still some cluter but you can read threw it.Fish are not always the classic arc.If they are active and on the move they will appear as blobs.I usally concentrate on finding bait fish and structure as that is where the fish are.If I mark some fish around them than great but if I don't ,I still fish there and have caught lots of fish were none were marked. Hope this helps.

I'll take a muskie anyway they come. Heck if one just jumped right in the boat I'd hold her up for a picture

I picked up a couple saltys at Bass-Pro on Sunday. If you go there and are driving very far call first and make sure they have them in stock as there was only one left on the shelf when I left.

Crotch Lake is the only place that comes to mind. There is a lodge there and crown land campsites.I don't know if they rent boats or not but you could check it out.

I've been using the new Trilene 100% Flourocarbon. Seems pretty good so far but I ain't no pro!

I like the Spro frogs (cast a mile) for heavy cover and a spook or jitterbug for more open spots. Topwater is the most fun you can have on the water! Topwater bass is cool but topwater muskie is heart stopping!!!!

Well its only 4 sleeps away boys and girls .After a slow day of walleye fishing I am switching over to bass mode and double checking my gear. While going threw my terminal tackel I got to thinking about the hooks I use for wacky worming.I use just regular worm hooks but I'm thinking that a smaller thinner hook would be better. Just thought I would ask you all what you use. Thanks to all replies

The Bay of Quinte for some buckets!!!

You can purchase one of those Rapala line counters that attach to any rod for 20 bucks.
-
Good deal but I notice the Canada map is not on the list.
-
I saw that. Anyone here used it? I thought about getting some but I'm a chicken when it comes to trying new stuff in a motor I can't afford to replace.
-
I tie my own worm harnesses using the snell knot.I like to match my harnesses for the day.If the wallys are bitting short I can spread the hooks a little farther apart or put a treble on the back hook.I always like to play with bead and blade compinations as well.

I haven't done a lot of it but I just let it soak for 3-4 days, in a pail of water and stawberry cool-aid, in the sun.Seems to work. Oops think I just gave away me secret ingredient

Water depths are at low water levels . The depths are a little deeper than what is on the screen most years on the bay.Last year being a exception. They were bang on in Sept. when some boat launches were high and dry.

I bought the Lowrace Expidition C and the Hot Maps chip.I love the unit and the Hot Maps has more of the back lakes on it.It has the bay on it in high detail but does not do Lake Ontario outside of the bay but does have the St. Larwance. You can go to their website and get a list of the lakes on it.I went with the expidition because it had a compass that works without being moveing and you can record voice notes with your way-points.The only issue I would like to see improved is the screen is hard to see in some light conditions.

Sorry to hear that. I will keep my ears open for a cheap 9.9 Merc. in the area.

I was at the local CT and they had a couple racks of the new Rapala trolling combos.I looked at them and was suprised to see what looks like a decent combo for $135.99.Things always go on sale at CT so I'm sure they will come on cheaper in the future. Anybody have or used one? Looking for opinions before I buy one. Thanks
