  2. i'd say 45-47 as well. nice fish! too bad about the big one. cheers
  3. wow thats wicked! awesome job mike. and you got a good picture to boot. hahah just teasing ya man. im starting to itch a bit for some big eyes. last trip to quinte is booked for dec 8-12, im sure it will be a cold one. thanks for sharing. cheers
  4. im sure mike will correct me if im wrong but im pretty certain he is NOT fishing BOQ for those eyes.
  5. awesome walleye dude. too bad about the camera man. maybe you should give him a lesson or two on shore so he doesnt mess up any more pics. and 105 in one day is just amazing.
  6. lol no way 70 lbs and what a brutal hold. gotta love how people think it takes hours to reel in big muskie. nice fish either way i suppose. doubt it lived after being held like that, fought for an hour and weighed and pics taken. lol ah well.
  7. definetely looks like a 3 legged deer in the third pic. pretty interesting
  8. hey lew how did you make out on pigeon?
  9. nice fish, i especially like the crappie. good on you for finding some big fall crappie, some slabs for sure
  10. hey terry and lloyd. i was one of the guys with gonefishin last year up at loon lodge that you met up with. loon lodge had everything we needed really and the fishing was decent, no monsters but enough action to keep you busy. chumming the holes seemed to really make the difference. after lights out its ling after ling after ling. one evening we caught 4 small lakers during the middle of the night but other than after it gets dark it turns into lingfest. he has 3 cabins in a row. i think one is a 6 man and 2 others are 4 man. i know he books up quickly, in fact most weekends were booked last year before we even left the place. he may have other huts elsewhere on the lake. definetely worth giving him a call.
  11. awesome pics man! i was out with bondy last weekend. great guy and really knows his stuff. His baits are very impressive and produce fish! good to see you guys got into them while pyzer was there as well. cheers
  12. i use 10 lb power pro and have zero problems with the planer boards. I also use a 4-5 foot flourocarbon leader. what was the issue with the light braid and the boards you heard about mike? if it was that it slips off the clips then just do a loop over the clip to keep it hooked on. doesnt cause any issues when releasing it and i have never lost a board due to it slipping. a few of the guides i have been out with before on quinte use a very similar setup. also the precision trolling guide also mentions using 10 lb braid (4 lb diameter). i will probably be out there that weekend as well. cant wait
  13. i could have sworn the suffix 832 i bought was white. lol at least it looks that way after 2 weekends of use. couldnt be any whiter right now. i cant believe how much it faded from green to white.
  14. lol that is pretty funny. its gotta be bigger than 20 though
  15. quick release pic or one in the net while it was still in the water would have been some good evidence. lol glad you were thinking of the fish first.
  16. im sure someone will win it who A) doesnt have a vehicle to tow it and B)doesnt fish. lol
  17. oh and for an overnight stay... why not do one this year to bay of quinte for monster walleyes!!
  18. season is over? dude its only october (well pretty much anyway) dont put your gear away yet, the best is yet to come! get your butt out there for some awesome fall fishing. still a full 2 months left of fishing on the open water, maybe even 3 depending on the water conditions.
  19. gagnons defintely has them
  20. first which three mile are you referring to, unfortunately there are a few. Is it the one close to the town of Windermere or Rosseau? if so, there is no pike in the lake, good sunfish, perch and rockbass populations. bass and walleye are the 2 main species in the lake most people target. i have a cottage up there but never seem to venture into any of the backlakes. i probably should start to.
  21. wow those are some beautiful fish man. wicked pictures. how big do you think the big one was?
  22. that 50 is a hog!!! congrats dude and thanks for posting the report
  23. wicked report pete!! good to see you guys got into them. that 46 is solid for sure. thanks for sharing
  24. i have 2 GL3's for my jigging rods and they are awesome. super sensitive, very light and can handle some huge fish. i have caught many 10-15 lb fish on my medium action setup including some big cats and sheephead from quinte just recently. they can handle a 13-14 lb walleye no problem and some pretty big bass. paired up with a stradic C14 it is an awesome combo.
  25. here is one of my wife kissing a nice walleye up on lady evelyn lake
