  1. Canadave, well, well, well. For the folks that have joined this board during the last 7 or 8 years, you won't remember Canadave. He is famous for his epic rants as well as his one piece stanfield union suit. Welcome back, Dave Cameron.
  2. I live right around the corner, drop by for a cold one. Just pull up to the Timmy's and wave, I'll be right there.
  3. That's just adorable. You is a lucky man, your wife too. Well done.
  4. I heard one of them, the big breaths one, as 'I know - and I'm only thickthteen'.

Cranberry and Raisin is one that is not mentioned yet. Sweet and tart at the same time.
  6. A. V. Roe folks went to Garrett, who went to Garrett Mfg. These went to Allied, and then Allied Signal, and then to Honeywell, where I currently toil. I bet is was fun.
  7. Great to see the Farmers and to meet Terry's daughter too. She's a caution. That's what I call a family commitment to this G2G. Fine folks, youse.
  8. Guido, I don't know nothing about finding specks like that one around Wawa. That must be a Nipigon brookie. Dan, missed your posts and your photos. If you can fly out of Red Lake into Trout Lake, it is amazing. 7 - 10 lb lakers, 35 in pike, and 23 in walleyes, all on Tuesday. See if you can go with someone other than *pm me*. There are two lodges on this 10,000 acre jewel, and the one you want is this one. Green Airways
  9. Cheers to Cliff and fambly, fine folks.
  10. I did some more googling after my post above, and yes, they are legal. However, my gerber is tuned so that I can open it by sort of waving the handle and giving it a shake. That likely counts as 'opening automatically ... by centrifugal force'.
  11. If that knife is spring operated, I think it might be prohibited here in Canadia. Here is the text: The Canadian Criminal Code defines the switchblade: "A knife that has a blade that opens automatically by gravity or centrifugal force or by hand pressure applied to a button, spring or other device in or attached to the handle of the knife." (sec. (84)(1)()
  12. I still feel a little wave of joy every time after picking up and tuning my Seagull. When you are trying out potential new guitars, don't be surprised if the one you must have is a little outside your price range. You won't regret putting a deposit on it and delaying your purchase a little while longer.
  13. Some o dat 100% deet would be very nice, put me down for 4 bottles. Pssssssssst, keep this on the downlow.
  14. I am going to order some cleavages, if it's all the same to you.
  15. Art, if I get the right fish, I will be sure to claim that one of the Plummas caught it. I got yer back.
  16. Slowpoke and I will be arriving on Friday morning, and bunking with the Plummas. A gallon and a half of the best baked beans will be arriving at pretty much the same time. Give or take.
  17. What a coincidence. Me 2. Have baked beans, will travel.
  18. Well done to you and Norma. The RLG and I date back to the mid 70's,legal now for 29 years, credit to SWMBO.
  19. Well done, Aaron. The look of wonder on his face is priceless.
  20. I've now flown three times with HawkAir on solopaddler's recommendation. They run a very professional operation. During the last trip, they even dropped in mid trip with bags of ice and a case of beer! That's service. It's a long drive from southern Ontario to the Wawa area, but well worth it.
  21. I assure that as well. Definitely.
  22. That was a riot. Enjoyed.
  23. From my extensive experience drifting floats for steelhead ( ! ), placing shot on the leader below the swivel is not done for the reasons the good Dr. explained above. Another good reason not to do this, is that you are weakening your already light leader by crimping shot onto it. Don't do it.
  24. Beautiful shots of some fine Algonquin brookies. Your report has me jonesing something fierce - I am leaving Sunday from Etobicoke for 4 nights on Opeongo.
